Can't stop won't stop! I see a bunch of people doing the same thing. The BRZ/GR86 is beautiful, but a little small as we get older. For a daily the wrx seems to be better, and 400+ hp is an easy fix!
@@ImportImageRacing It's definitely a great car, specially with curvy back roads and mountains to tackle. Definitely a little small when you're the only driver. 😅The WRX should be a much better compromise. The 375whp pack with the ETS bolt-ons efinitely caught my eye. Is that with 93? Because that would be perfect.
This is a great video and I’m excited to get started on tuning my new sapphire blue 2023 Wrx. I just ordered the noble STI style wing from you this morning and can’t wait to install it!
True, but it’s the fine print stuff…. No denying the vb makes power, just damn it’s not looking good doing it. Throw it in the Va chassis and could live with it then.
The shop i went to used a mustang dyno and this exact same set up came to 320 HP. Ive heard recent updates have caused mustang dynos to read low. I noticed you used a dyno jet in this video. Is there a high of a variance between dynos?
what car profile did you use on VD and what gear ratio. Also why tire of 26.7 and why 3700lbs? Please explain because using this my car gains ~50whp, so now i am pushing 460whp/520wtq.
This car has 20 X 9 inch wheels. If you enter the tire size for this car in VD, It comes out at 26.75. We put a 2022 WRX on a scale and it shows 3600 lbs for a stock car. This car has at least 100 lbs of body kit, wheel and tire weight and other parts on it. Example, the intercooler and pipes alone are 20 lbs over stock. If the car had Stock wheels and tires and 245,40,18 it would use a 25.72. Its best to try to use the exact tire size and weight of the car to get as close to accurate results. We have a Mustang dyno we use for development on all of my Calibrations and if we keep the weight and tire size accurate, its pretty close.
Jim, this may sound crazy, but do you also do videos for another org up in Maryland called IAG Performance? I swear that's you I saw in one of their videos and IAG is very close to me!
When your doing these logs can you take your time on doing so like what if I'm 5 mins in crusing 55 in a 65 and a cop gets behind me can I speed up and try doing the log over later
Steady speed is the key to success. It’s inevitable that you will have to speed up or slow down at some points during the log. That’s ok! A few MPH more or less won’t disturb the parameters the tuner is looking for.
Is it ultimately safer or equivalently as efficient before flashing my subaru to have it jumper cabled to another running vehicle because I have 2 cars but no battery tenderizer
Is it even worth getting a pro tune if I’m only using 91? This is my daily driver and I do have E85 available in my area. Currently on OTS stage 1 91 only have a Borla cat back exhaust
Unfortunately that combination of parts will not have a OTS map available. But a great choice is combining a Cobb AccessPort with a Protune from Clark Turner! www.importimageracing.com/products/300whp-power-pack-2022-2023-subaru-wrx-6mt
My goal is 400whp, 450ft lbs (dynojet). I have an E60 protune, Cobb TMIC, ETS intake with box, awe track catback. Do you think I can get there? My tuner is a busy guy and etuning is a process so I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic. No reason I shouldn't hit those numbers unless we're limiting torque. I'm at 23psi and fuel is dropping. Lowered from e85 to e60. It helped. Seems like my tuner thinks I should get w fuel pump and run E85 to have the best. Waiting on confirmation.
Emissions restrictions and maybe TMIC are your limiting factors in my opinion. With that being said… 450 torque is a BIG ask for that transmission, especially if you’re a spirited driver! Fuel pumps are definitely going to be a big topic with these cars at the moment. Most tuners seem to be ok with ethanol blends at this time on the stock pump and only time will tell how well it holds up! I can assure you aftermarket fuel pumps will be available in the future.
@@BuckleUpGarage_ I'm running a fuel-it fuel pump. Good for 450whp on e85. The only one on the market. Fuel pressure was dipped before I installed it once we hit 400.
@@ital1anstallion4 Cobb flex fuel kit is ideal. Mainly just a sensor and 'brain.' But runs fine with nothing. I tested e content with w test kit at my local station a few times. Got lucky that it's consistently e85. That's not always the case at other stations Plus there's seasonal blends like e70 for winter weather (mostly for cold starts).

Please remove the music :)

Jim, one can feel you're excitement...it comes through so genuinely. Wish I could do this but I'm enjoying my 8 yr 80,000 warranty for now.
Thank you, I love what I do! Enjoy your warranty… we will be here when you’re ready!
Jim that is awesome, great numbers for pump gas. Cant wait to get my pro tune done next month.
This is NOT pump gas. These numbers are great for e85. Cars on e85 put out 380-400whp.
Thank you 🙏🏻
it was pump gas 93 ......@@stock.cars.2ned

I'm getting the ETS FMIC, ETS Intake power pack in the Spring when I pull my VB out of the garage. Hope you all will still have them. Can't wait.

If those numbers are true, it’s strong. Not too sure on 3rd party tuning and let’s be honest here 1 revision? I’d want more
Full disclosure, the 400hp tune took 3 revisions. But nobody wants to see me drive a car around and collecting data for over an hour!
