      not bad bud! 2020 wrx, same mods but with a boomba bpv for noise and i made 288 whp and 305 wtq. even though it was a massive bump in power, it fixed all the issues with driving that i hated about the wrx and now reminds me of driving an older wrx from the mid 2000's. obviously the twinscroll turbo has a lot less lag but with the tune it lags a little and it adds so much more fun to the car, that and no twitchy throttle feels more akin to a wire throttle body.

    • @StreetInspired1
      @StreetInspired1  Год назад +1

      This website has a lot of good information going over the benefits of E85. I think it's a great fuel option and I personally prefer it for a daily driver. You can always do an e30-e60 blend too which will actually get better fuel economy than 93 or e85 and make about the same power as full e85. The only issue there is the extra trouble at fill up and calculating everything.

      It's the optional sleeve that comes with the ETS intake that goes inside the maf sensor housing. He wants that to be removed for more airflow. Glad your tune with Clark went well. Mine did not. Had my 2007 STI tuned by Clark. Was not very happy with the results overall (throttle seemed to go from 10% to 100% with very little "in-between"). I had an issue with my turbo outlet pipe coming undone (was running 25PSI, so not unexpected) and his attitude was very poor when either one of these issues came up. There also was no 'over boost' protection during the initial tunes and one of the first couple pulls it went to 34PSI and I ended up with coolant in the oil and had to redo the headgasket. Basically if you are doing anything more than the super basic "intake, exhaust" I would not go to him.

    I'm interested in what an aftermarket TMIC can do for performance. Information is a bit thin online and I haven't run across any hard numbers. There's going to be a slight pressure drop compared to OEM, but if that loss plus a bit extra can be added back without raising the manifold air temp it's gotta count for something. I just don't know how much an experienced tuner can squeeze out of that mod alone, but I'd like to...

    • @StreetInspired1

      @Travis Watson I will say on the 93 tune its putting out 333whp. I've driven a few stock sti, a stage 1 sti and a 450whp sti. This definitely pulls harder than a typical "stage 1" sti. It feels great. I just hate that it's the same crappy wrx transmission. These will make over 400whp on 94 with a downpipe, intake, and Intercooler. Very impressive but I'm worried about the transmission more than anything.
