i dont know why people of the custom keyboards community likes to make keyboards sounds so silenced, no foam sounds nice, i dont know why you always want to modify keyboards to make them sounds silenced then dont buy mechanical keyboards.
Here are the things i did Tape modded (2 layers) Pe foam modded Lubed the switches and stabs But the reason why its thocky is probably because of the keyboard (Royal Kludge Rk61) I've seen other builds that uses the same switches but on a different keeb And it was clacky instead

theres a white noise during the whole video, exept the part where the sound of the keyboard with the foam is playing. Im guessin you added an eq to cut the high frequencies off on that part. If so, why would you do that? its not fair since its a sound comparisson, shouldnt have no different mix's

Foam: Marbly
Change foam material. I usually use car noise dampener as a foam and on most plastic keyboards it sound really thocky.
What switch do you use? The sound so satisfying 🧡, i use the otemu blue switch, if i foam may i get sound like your keyboard?
It will be quiter and smother sound you will get really good results

Lube your switches. It takes like 7 hours if you don't know what your doing. I know from experience lol

Foam sounds muted which is fine, But without Foam sounds Poppy which is so good.
imo the poppiness is enhanced with foam as it reduces the hollowness
