bruh i literally gasped, because my piano keyboard that hasn't been used for at least 5 years is literally sitting outside of my room as i speak 😭
@@rebbits i use mine every day O-O
@@jabonkulous i wish i could play it again but i already forgot all the piano lessons i had in school T.T
@@rebbits im self taught, never had piano lessons lol, been playing since i was 10
2:09 jokes on you- i am a pianist!
No way. Pianist in 2021?
@@tauntyyt I n s a n e
@Jeremy Widiyantoro real electric piano, and also acoustic piano (it’s basically like membrane keyboards (electric piano) and mechanical keyboards (acoustic))
I really? Name every song ever played on a piano
I didn't expect to get called out with the piano keyboard ☠
I have a unicomp mini m. Which is a reproduction of the old IBM Model M SSK's that Lexmark made in the 90's. The SSK variant of the model m is basically just a tenkeyless model m. Though it's a reproduction, it's not any less of a model m. It's made by the same tooling, by the same people, in Lexington Kentucky. I absolutely love this thing!
Ooooo a TKL Model M. Very cool
Honestly, i have a razer keyboard and i don't feel like getting a custom one, i just love the green switches sound and how beautiful the razer blackwidow is.
You'll transition once you hear that sweet goodness known as a plateless 7v
got the V2 with greens, its pretty nice
Well, you got me. Whether I'm smart is very much up for debate, but I'm definitely broke. Also, I do intend to play on my piano keyboard sometime, it just works too well as a table.
Piano works well for eating food on
I never would have guessed that a hobby based entirely around spending all your money on making a keyboard sound worse could be so gatekeepy.
as someone who owns a tm680, i can hands down agree that its a budget GMMK pro
You can’t get much better tha it for the price. if you oring mount it and add foam etc it can be really good. It’s biggest downside is lack of pcb stabs
K552-KR: You're on a budget and made a good choice
Redragon gang btw got my Redragon Fizz
That moment when you have an Alps board as your main.
"you're abusive"
nah it's just my special copy&paste keyboard when Im debugging my code that I dont know why it errored
I appreciate the inclusion of the model M in this. It's nice to feel included.

As a GK61 User, I can confirm i have just recently stepped into the degenerate world of custom keyboards.
Damn
They got me too 😭
0:22 that actually offended me, bcs I have a Razer Black Widow Elite keyboard
Ooops
_"IBM Model M - You are a true veteran."_
I can take that.
I have a full sized and both of the options are true for me. Well, technically I don't actually need it but it makes life helluva lot easier. I am Czech and many of our special characters like ě, š, č, etc. are typed using the number keys on top, it only types a number when holding shift. So having a normal keypad on the side is a lot easier to use. It's also just faster because the keys are closer together.
And when not used to type keys it's nice to have basically 15 extra key for macros, be it stuff like video or image editing software, or even gaming.
nice
or you play war thunder
@@toastyxboops i do
as an Elona player (and as a french AZERTY user) I can absolutely not conceive the fact that some people are willingly buying keyboards that do not have a numpad
Same
Don't use it to play games but I still don't understand why you would get a keyboard without the numpad.
As someone with a 40%, dont need it. I mostly do physics coding and don't mind hitting a layer key to enter a couple of numbers and I'm using them generally concurrently with symbols anyway!
The best keyboard I've ever had, which I'm still using and typing this on, is the Dell SK-8135. I'm now bound to be disappointed every time I try something else.
Uhh ok…🤔
bro forgot wooting.
Damn, really did the Tofu like that. Sure its basic, but its still one of the most mod-able keyboards. If you're using it prebuilt or assembled basically, sure, but like so many enthusiasts have a Tofu just to test mods on.
Tofu is basic because everyone has one and everyone has seen one. No way in shape bad. It's like the Air Force 1's of Keyboards
That Tofu60 acrylic case is just one of the best sounding out there fr.
Yeah your keyboard isn't legit unless you built it 100% from scratch /s
1:07 Do not fret, this is merely our mating call, inscrutable for the mere mortals
Underrated comment. Man speaks the language of the gods
u have called?
Update: I got my first split keyboard! I confirm, I now produce these sounds when looking for a mate.
@@philippefutureboy7348 Tell me how that goes.
This is so accurate.
"You're either really smart or really broke"
Thanks, I'm both
ngl, i've had my fair share of prebuilts and customs but nothing makes me as happy as typing on apple's magic keyboard. it just feels right
Really? I used to have one for my Mac before I switched over to Windows and I hated the feel ngl
Very very true. I don't know every time I used mine I just wouldn't get feedback and my hands felt like they were sinking
@@tauntyyt I dont mind the feel but I prefer mechanical, I do get faster typing speed on it tho
To be honest, the split keyboard one sailed right over my head. I am sure I missed a great joke here.
And yes, I have been using split keyboards for a number of years now. My daily drivers (work/home) are DIY builds - a FiFi and an ErgoDash.
the joke is that it's uncanny

ngl id take my razer keyboard over a custom one purely based on the fact i've had it for like 6 years and still works like new, is comfortable to use and i'm used to all the software at this point also the wrist rest on the keyboard is a must for me
same except mines is 1 year old
lol i spilled water over mine and it kept punching holes on the wrist rest, so i put plastic wraps over it... not as good, but still better then no wrist rest!
my dumb ass who owns a white shark gaming cheyyene combo keyboard 💀
Brilliant, loved it. Absolutely brand new to more advanced keyboards. Corsair K70 on my desk for last 2 years. GMMK Pro on order (ISO out of Stock), TOFU65 on the way.
Thanks! K70 isn't bad in terms of prebuilt keyboards. Super happy with my GMMK Pro and any Tofu is a one-up from a prebuilt.
@@tauntyyt K70 was my first foray 2 years ago. Just started seeing some videos and never realised that there was this whole world of keyboards. Ordered Aqua Kings for GMMK Pro, looking forward to the build.
@@zubski I've been at this for a while now, just didn't make videos until I found the TM680. I wanted to share the TM680 and its ridiculous price to performance with everyone. Now I make keyboard videos as a hobby.

@@tauntyyt I think you've made a brilliant start. Well done and keep it up.
As a person with a membrane keyboard I can say this is accurate.
Smart and broke
I would unironically use a Magic keyboard for the low keys. I would just add custom decals/paint to change the Apple key names to Windows keys. Maybe even paint the metal.
I also love the low keys of the magic keyboard, I feel like it’s underrated
@@f52_yeevy I also agree. As someone who grew up using mechanical keyboards, I love the low keys
i have this shit at school i hate is so much i brought my own keyboard
I have one. I use it on windows and Mac. It doesn’t SOUND particularly nice but where it matters(typing feel and speed) it just gets it done.

i play osu mania with apple keyboard 🙃 and its ok
You can’t just say that you think only one that’s being bullied by this guy Because I have the same keyboard
I use the newest Magic Keyboard
1:00 I have an arisu and a hon chair so i guess it's pretty close lol
Really close
I literally know nothing about keyboards but RUclips decided to recommend me multiple keyboard videos and I gotta say there damn interesting
I love how for the full size keyboard you didn't even put an actual full-size lmao
I like membrane keyboards due to how silent it is and it's easier to type on at work. I bought a mechanical keyboard with hot swappable switches. I plan to make it less noisy. I do like the color combination.
linear switches and o rings can do a lot for noise.
why do people consider drop alt/ctrl a bad keyoboard?
i think both of them are good
Funny video would definitely let him sit on my keyboard
My piano keyboard is sitting in the corner of my room untouched for months...
