Alex the drummer was a great mate when I did university music...plus the old dude on the Gretsch guitar was my guitar teacher there as well...I've been so lucky.... strangely, I'm an off grid farmer now... incredible music hey?
Before I even press play, Lazy is another favourite of mine, watched it many times. Just watched your Jimmy Barnes review of Lay Down Your Guns. Jimmy singing , Joe on guitar Wo, organist omg and rest of musicians - brilliant. Now I’ll press play😊 My all time fave of Jimmy’s is Stone Cold👍 - that’s my personal top favs of Barnsey.
we Aussies are a loyal bunch mate , you keep doing aussie stuff and your subs will grow , we are lucky the rest of the world wernt interested in our music at the time , now they seem to be catching up 30 years later , good for you mate
New to the channel. Lazy and Child In Time are my two fave pieces of Deep Purple music. This is a ball tearer of a cover. Take care and good luck with the Channel.
Thank you for reacting to my request mate, I loved your reaction and I knew you would love this. I will request another song from around this time with jimmy and Joe very soon. Also I love the pic of jimmy in the background.
Welcome back, stay well. Have you heard John Farnham covering Deep Purple's "Black Dog," it was a sound check so no video. "Smoke on the Water," about a hotel fire, made Deep Purple famous. All the best.
It's an organ. A Hammond organ, not sure what model, the B3 is legendary, with a Leslie Cabinet for tremolo effects. It's NOT a piano any more than a synthesizer is a piano. Cheers!
Yes how sad most of the world missed out on this guy through his prime I'm still bewildered by it. Although Van Halen wanted him but he knocked them back then they took Sammy Hagar so they knew talent when they heard it.
You will not get most songs from Australia blocked because they want their music to be heard all around the world they have already made most of there money from the songs it would be rare to get one blocked from here cheers
The smiles on everyone of their faces tells you how good this song is.
Just a master class!!

Jimmy and Joe doing “Stone Cold” is just formidable
He's playing a Hammond B-3 organ!!
Good old Hammond organ. It’s what we learnt on back in the day….. esp “smoke on the water”on the foot pedals!!!!! 😂🤣
Hammond organ. Deep Purple cover song with Richie Blackmore. Same intro as the original.
Jimmy John Farnham are classified as Aussie rock ledgends John got the name the voice as he can sing anything
This is what happens when you get talented people together and leave their ego at the door brilliants
When the stars align and the god's are happy this is what you get, brilliant
Rhythm guitarist is Brad Whitford from Arrowsmith!!
Good to see you back, I've missed you're reactions.
Glad you're back, hope all is well in your world

Can't wait to see your face when the guitar riff gets going

Brad Whitford the other guitarist playing on this song is a member of Aerosmith.
And he's got some awesome chops too.
Real music :)
It's an Organ which I think is basically an electric piano.an organ also has a number peddles.
It's a Hammond B3 organ, a common staple of 70's progressive rock music.
Thank you for reacting to my request mate, I loved your reaction and I knew you would love this. I will request another song from around this time with jimmy and Joe very soon. Also I love the pic of jimmy in the background.

Best version of Lazy EVER!!!!
Joe and Mahalia Barnes 'Riding with the kings' is worth a listen.
YEP!
Mate I agree with your every word.
Damn. They were all flexing. So good. Stone Cold is just as good, with even better vocals from Jimmy.
Well, I'm drinking a wine, but now after that, I think I may have a cup of tea and a lie down !
Joe n Beth worth looking at
Classic👌❤️

Jimmy has a couple of albums, Soul Deep ,and Flesh and Wood. I'd highly recommend a listen
So deep purple the organ
I think Jimmy can sing anything. I love him singing the Sia song “Chandelier “. Amazing!
Yes how sad most of the world missed out on this guy through his prime I'm still bewildered by it. Although Van Halen wanted him but he knocked them back then they took Sammy Hagar so they knew talent when they heard it.
He's playing a Strat and the other guy a ES-335 and listen to Deep Purple Live Album Made In Japan
You will not get most songs from Australia blocked because they want their music to be heard all around the world they have already made most of there money from the songs it would be rare to get one blocked from here cheers
If you want to compare to the original, search for Deep Purple live in Japan. A classic old school live performance.
Pretty close to the original. You should listen to that as well.🙂
It's a Hammond B3 organ.
Chicken foot and their live version of Highway star. If you like guitar amazing skills
E3 or E4 Hammond organ with attachments to it
Hammond B-3!!!!
It's a Hammond Organ
You need some church in’ up.
Always listen to the original first..and the beginning doesn’t sound like the original..
Looking a bit thinner, Have you been riding a bike?
Love to have beer with you Monty . You recognise quality music and most importantly you don't talk shit. Have a look at Gary Moore Parisiene walkways
saw the music, insta like! heard the reaction, insta dislike!
pausing every 20 sec is too much...
