Haha yeah the echo and the fact that the walls are paper thin so everyone outside my office could easily hear me. Didn't want to speak too loud. ^^ But I'll get it fixed soon!
I love this video! especially the part where you talk about accepting and loving your tattoo's imperfections! I've got a tattoo on my arm and the writing is a bit faded and uneven at some places but I think it looks like the type machine ran out of ink which makes it look even better :)
Fotini Kar not me. Kat's been pretty good at sound quality in her videos. When I hear the echo it sounds super noob to me. My cat ears won't tolerate bad sound. 😸
As someone who got tattoos against their parents wishes, use your better judgement. When I was 18 my parents used to scare me by saying I was going to be kicked out. So I got one behind their back anyway and all they did was ground me at the time... I have more tattoos now and they don't like them but now we can openly talk about them. They don't view them the way they used to. I still get shit about it from them when I talk about wanting a new one, but I'm at an age now where I work full-time and can spend my money how I please. I love your tattoo videos so much, you've answered all my other questions on previous videos and I'm so thankful! I plan on getting my first tattoo later in the Fall and having my consult in the summer-ish. These videos are so so helpful and very reassuring to watch and listen to whenever I feel overwhelmed about it. And the echo is not that bad! I've listened to videos that have a much worse echo haha
no...that only works for very short exposure to the sun. If you exposure it to the sun for a long time even with sunscreen it will fade. However you should be safe if it's less than 30 minutes a day
Great video series! Only thing I would add to the travelling for first tattoo is going with someone in case they have a reaction. Even for me, 14 tattoos in, I feel really drained after a long tattoo so it's not safe for me to drive myself. I feel out of it/head space. So bring a friend to help you travel.
I actually got a small dot tattooed on my leg before my bigger piece I had done, to make sure I wouldn't have a reaction to the ink. If you're worried then maybe that's an option because a dot will just look like a tiny birthmark or something and when it's healed you'll know for sure that you're not allergic and so on
I have a history of anaphylaxis and skin problems (contact dermatitis and urticaria) and was considering sticking to black or black and grey to reduce the allergy risk. I really want a DEATH, crossed scythes and a banner saying "not today" to celebrate making it to 50 ( I have cystic fibrosis and have been out living the life expectancy since I was one) and all the friends I've lost who had the same disease. I also have type 1 skin ( so very pale) and ehlers-danlos syndrome, so my skin has lots of extra collagen. Is it worth the risk? I've been talked out trying by various doctors over the years, is there a situation where it's not worth the risk? After all, if you do develop an allergy to the ink, it could easily end up in anaphylactic shock. All my allergies are to intravenous antibiotics but if the inks use any of the same preservatives I could get a cross reaction. I've been considering just getting the banner ( what do you say to the God of death) "not today" then having the rest of the tattoo added if I don't react and placed on my calf (as my arms are full of IV scars and far more likely to get operated on). What do you think? Apologies for the long question.
Not to freak anyone out, (I haven't heard of this happening to anyone else, personally) but about 12 years ago, I took my little cousin to get her 1st tattoo on her 18th birthday. (Yes, I'm old.) She got a 4 leaf clover on top of her foot. It's a little larger than the size of a quarter. She called me 3 days later and told me her foot was really red and swollen. She couldn't even walk on it. My advice, of course, was to see a doctor. Turns out she's allergic to green ink/dye. Poor girl. It was the middle of winter with below freezing temperatures and she couldn't wear a shoe and had to use crutches for a few weeks. She swears she'll never get another tattoo.
Haha yes this can happen. But it's very very uncommon and I really don't think this is something you can "expect" when getting a tattoo for the first time. I'm sure your cousin could easily get a new tattoo without green and it would be perfectly fine.
To the person wanting their grandfathers signature on their hand: I know a person who has "God bless you" written by her mom at the exact same spot on their hand and it looks perfectly fine. It's not blurry or anything. I think it's a really nice place for such a tattoo and if your artist knows his job, I don't see a problem with it (:
For my first tattoo I chose a great artist who turned out to be not caring for every client equally..He didn't get my idea and his projects seemed to be made in a rush :( Eventually, I was the one who prepared the design and he made the tattoo..But the other thing that irritated me was that he knew it was going to be my first tattoo and he didn't tell me that the front of a foot is a risky place because the tattoo may fade in some parts (and even the colours changed after the healing, I was surprised)... I would like to get a new tattoo sometime but after such experience it's hard for me to trust someone with such an attitude. Obviously I would go to someone else, but is there anything I can do to decrease the risk of disappointment? ;)
Ugh this is a perfect example of how it doesn't always turn out great even if you really do your research. Some artists are kinda stuck up like that and they only give 100% to the projects they actually looove doing. And that is of course so wrong. Don't go back to him and as for what to look for in an artist... it's difficult. 'Cause they'll probably just include picture in their portfolio that they're happy with! Maybe make sure you pick an artist who's specialty is what you want, 'cause then you know for sure they'll put more effort into it than if you go to an old school artist and ask for a script. :)
it's half your responsibility to know the consequences of a tattoo and you should do your own research first if you're unsure about anything, hope it helps sorry to hear you had a bad experience
Totally happened to me with a renown tattoo artist with so many beautiful pieces on her catalog. She obviously wasn't excited as I am with the tattoo I wanted, even made me changed my mind on some details. The day I came for the appointment nothing has been prepared (I booked several weeks before) and I felt like I was treated off-handedly because she wasn't into my project - like she just came to cash the money. I ended up with a tattoo that is not what I had in mind and felt terrible for a few weeks. In retrospect I should have listened to my feelings and leave the shop that day. Today I accept my tattoo for what it is but I would advise anyone who has a doubt on the implication of the artist on his project to look for another artist. To me tattoos are a gift an artist make you, but this part of your body is also a gift to the artist and respect should come from both sides.
GrowingDownUnder You're right, I added this fact because he didn't care and when I'd been seeing my tattoo changing it bothered me even more..I mean, it just would be nice if he said that the place is risky that's all. emilie lse it sucks...glad you got used to your tattoo
its not like you always regret tattoos but sometime it sux that is in the way for another piece you want. Thats why you tight up tattoos if you do them seperately.
I use tegaderm and vitalitree. There are several other derms out there that should work too, but I've only had experience with one. It's medical grade wound care, so it let's the skin breathe, but doesn't let liquids in or out (so not plastic wrap). It really cuts back on issues (like clothing touching it, showers, fucked up sheets, and most of the scabbing) and creates a false blister that (despite looking a little weird) keeps a tattoo clean and moisturized. Then like 3 to 5 days later, the tattoo'll suck the seepage back up. Then it's time for a shower because the water and patience gets it off easily and painlessly (without water, it's more like waxing). Then it's the cleaning routine (save the worst part of it). The guy who did my latest tattoo suggested vitalitree salve and I gotta say I'm liking it. It's not overly strong smelling, feels really good on my fresh tattoo, makes healed ink look good, and (since it's a salve) a little goes a really long way so I can just stash a tin in my purse. It might have also been a factor in my healing faster than normal. I might go back to lotion on healed pieces for price reasons, but I'm pretty sure I'll be using it on trips and for new tattoos going forward.
Great vid once again full of useful tips. I remember myself playing on repeat ur two last vids on the same subject :) before getting my first tattoo It clearly helped me. Keep up with the good work
In terms of the last question with the signature on the side of the hand, I actually heard that they fade super fast due to how the skin heals there. My brother has a tattoo there and needs to constantly get it touched up to fight the fadeout. If you have the money to maintain it, go for it, but that would be too much for me personally. I, myself, don't have any ink there, so I wouldn't know for sure.
i waited til i was 26 for my first tatt. now i have a fair few 😂😂 im glad i waited. a few of mine have been yolo.. lifes too short get the tattoo hahaha but i dont regret them. they all mean something even if they arnt perfect. ive changed alot over the last 5 years and each tatt is a step closer to being free of past crap. there was a chance for one when i was 18 and i didnt go.. my friend still did and regretted what she got within a month haha. plus.. laser removal is so good at the moment and only going to get better.. so get the damn tattoo. lifes to short not to live
mine are also very diff styles all by diff artists.. some ppl have asked why i got them.not matching. lol.. im just going with what im going with and i have an eclectic taste in my life so why wouldnt my tatts reflect that mess that is me 😁😁😁
my first tattoo was on my wrist and it wasn't painful at all and the healing process went really good. i'm super happy with it plus it was a sentence and it's still legible so if it suits as an advice for anyone wanting a tattoo there: go for it. just talk with your tattoo artist and make sure you're making yourself clear
about the travel for first tat question, i personally have very sensitive skin and lots of allergies. of all the people who would react, it would be me. My first tattoo was 5 or 6 inches by 3 or 4 inches. its a horse with 3 large hibiscus flowers. I had someone drive me for 4.5 hours and i was fine
Hi, Katrin! I liked your new space, even with the little echo. This chair is really nice, and the beautiful carpet shown in your Instagram. The plant breaks the dominant white, very minimalistic and suits your style very well. An excellent color combination of green, brown, and white. All the questions were interesting and nicely answered by you. I don't have any tattoos, but after watching for a long time your videos, I start to wanting one in my life. Huge fan!
My first tattoo was a big piece on my ribs. It's a matching tattoo with my brother and the same artist did both. I love how they look a little different just because of the tiny imperfections in each because to me a tattoo is art and imperfections make it unique. No one else notices these little imperfections so it's all good ☺️ i said imperfections a lot, oops.
im getting my first 2 tattoos soon and im so scared im going to regret them even though they're both really pretty and one of them has a fuck ton of meaning
A few months ago I had scrounged up enough money to finally get a cute little tattoo that I had wanted for a while. The problem is I rushed and put it on my upper arm without thinking about what the heck I was gonna do with the rest of my arm. It's not bad placement but now I have no idea how to create a half sleeve with this coffin right smack in the middle of my upper arm haha
What are your opinions on black and grey sleeves? That's what I have and I feel like I don't normally see people with them and people ALWAYS ask me when I'm going to add color. Sometimes it makes me feel insecure.
Haha it's suuuuper common in Sweden. Not my personal taste (clearly) but there's nothing weird about it ^^ People who ask when you're going to add color don't know what finished tattoos look like 'cause there's a huge difference between black/gray and color that hasn't been colored in ^^
Katrin Berndt really?! I live in America and I live on the west coast. I haven't ever seen someone with a black and gray sleeve. I just am tired of hearing when I'm going to color it in. Sometimes I consider adding color but I know it would look weird because there's so much shading
Tory Killam I live in America too (Florida) and there are TONS of people with black and grey sleeves, myself included! I don't want color because i just prefer the flow without it. Please don't let anyone make you feel insecure about your tattoos...they are on your body not theirs ☺
If you have not already done so, could you make a video about tattoo safety? 😊 (Going to the right places, signs to look for when getting a tattoo in a new place, new artists and knowing what to avoid)
For the living with parents still and having a tattoo that they don't want to see. I honestly think you should follow their wishes. It's their home not yours and while you live there you need to live by their rules. That's just what has to happen. Also you should respect them enough to fulfill their wishes. -Just my lil input on this ^_^
I agree about covering it if that's what they want up but I still don't think the person should regret their special tattoo because their parents are disgusted by it.
I got a tattoo a year ago then i got one on monday my dad didn't know but when he saw them he went crazy and talked shit but i ignored it but the funny thing is that he doesnt know im about to get 3 big ass pieces haha
I want to get a tattoo in the next week or so I've been watching all your videos and doing so much research for such a long time . I really don't feel comfortable with all my research and I'm not comfortable with the 2of 6 tattoos pallor I chose 😩 I don't know what to do
I have a linework tattoo that's almost a year old and I can still feel the bumps. It's right under the inside of my elbow, so I'm guessing it's just because it's a thin skinned area? I've always been confused about why that was but this cleared it up for me 😊
Actually u can fix bleeding tattoo. Tattoo artist need to go over these bleeding spots with white or light ink. At least it worked on me and some other people
I think you are doing very well as you have more than 1/4 million subscribers. Perhaps the personal touch was something that attracted them to your videos. Change is always something we adjust to. Good luck! You are doing awesomely so far.
I got my first tattoo three weeks ago! i'm so in love with it!! and because I loved my first one so much, I got a second one two weeks later! I got a butterfly with my best friend! & I want MORE. I saw a tattoo apprentice and I love her so much, but I'm wondering Is it good to keep going to the same artist or should I switch it up ?
My first three tattoos were all by the same person and then I kept going back to him 'cause I loved his work :) But it's fun to mix it up too so do whatever feels best ^^
Maybe if she told her parents that the tattoo is covering self-harm scars, she might be pleasantly surprised at their change of attitude. Truth is best. Defiance, for defiance sake is childish. So tell your parents why you did it. I think you owe your parents, at least, honesty. If they still act like jerks, then she has bigger problems than hiding some tattoo. Maybe I would not be crazy about a tattoo on my daughter (that is my problem, not hers), but if she told me it was to cover-up self-harm scars, I would be so proud of her. That she saw self-harm as ugly and that covering it with something beautiful, is awesome.
PrincessofErised I think the same but I would also add that they have a problem for caring more about a tattoo in a visible place than the scars that lay under. If as she said it's a visible place and if they seriously never noticed that something was wrong they were not being good parents, if you have a teenage daughter or son you must be paying attention to theese kind of things... They didn't do anything about her problem and they were wrong for this (both if they really didn't notice or pretend to) so now they aren't really entitled to disapprove her about solving this issue herself.
She said they didn't know or see. I think it is terrible. But to be fair, children are good at hiding things from mom and dad. I imagine she was never going to tell them about it, just cover it up. Maybe it won't make any difference telling them the story, but it is worth a try.
PrincessofErised I agree 100% that she sould tell them the story but I'm also convinced that a parent should always be smarter than his kid and know him well enough to notice even she smallest thing.
Hey, I really want a tattoo of my bird that passed away. My problem is that in the design I am going for kind of the same style as you, like thicker lines but still feminin. But i am not sure how to make that style look good on the bird itself because it might look a bit harsh and take away a lot of it's charakter. Have you ever dealt with something like this and could give me any advise?
Hmm the only advice I can give you is start looking for an artist who makes designs like the one you want. There are a lot of artists who do pretty animal tattoos so if you don't know exactly what you want, just start looking up artists :)
I've been slowly building up a "list" of tattoos I want to get since I was like 14 (and obviously couldn't get them yet). Now I'm old enough and all that, but I was wondering, since I don't currently have any tattoos at all, if it would be a bad idea to get them all at once? They're all just supposed to be tiny, subtle line-art pieces. Anyone have any thoughts or tips? Thanks!
Ruby in the Sky I dont know how many tattoos you are planning to get but I would suggest to get maximum of two each time. You will have more time to think about the other tattoos, reconsider placement and stuff. :)
han !! Some people bleed more than others, it depends on a variety of factors: tattoo placement (skin is thinner in some places more than others), alcohol and drug intake like painkillers, how hydrated you are etc. The skin around the thighs is thick and will not bleed as much as the wrist for example. I have both thighs tattooed so I speak from personal experience but as I said before- it can vary from person to person, I hope this helps! :)
What about Norse tattoos? Like I love norse mythology and would love the valknut symbol or more but fascists or neo nazis are often seen with them (Nordics SOA for example) would people judge me if I had any? It's like people with a budist swastika... I mean technically it's not a "swastika - swastika" ... You know what I mean? hm
+Sophie Haggarty Well people will always judge you not matte what so count on that haha. It's up to you if you wanna take that battle or not. I would never ever get a swastika regardless of its original meaning and like I said - I would never knowingly get a tattoo that a ideology I do not support has "claimed" as their own, even if I really like the design. But to each their own for sure!
I got my first tattoo on my 21st birthday .. March 7th 2014... three years ago ekkkk!!! It turned out so well. It is a trumpet on my back shoulder blade and I still love it. I ended up getting my second one on the top of my foot and it was a treble clef mixed with a bass clef to form a heart. I really want another one done but haven't made the time to design it... soon hopefully as a late 24th birthday gift :) Sooo.. one piece of advice I would like to add is .. just do your homework and everything should go fine :) make sure to research your artists before you get it done.
I'm just mesmerised by your tattoos. Your chest piece has a colour palette so vibrant it looks amazing when it peeks through your clothes, and your arms just look amazing! I was hesitant about mixing styles before I saw your vids, but honestly your pieces just look gorgeous together
To the person who wants the chest piece. My mom has a tattoo on her chest for 20 going on 21 years and its a cover up. She has a blue rose that covered up a black rose. The tattoo still looks good and people are surprised when she says how old it is. Just make sure you go to a good artist who knows what they are doing and has a good portfolio and has good reviews.
Wow, I just learned from this video that the artist that did my hand tattoo pressed way too fucking hard and that's why the font bled so badly and become a big bold text rather than thin as it first looked. She was a new artist at the time, I think she had 3 years to her name so I don't think that's entirely new but farout.
I'm pretty sure the fascist question is referring to some sort of symbol from Norse paganism because Neo-Nazis like to get those tattoos so they have gotten a bad reputation recently
Neb Nekkol I was the person who was asking that question. I am building a traditional tattoo sleeve on my let arm and want to have an elbow tattoo. Im considering a spiderweb which I love how it looks, however there are links to fascism we makes me uncomfortable which makes me conflicted. On some level I'm considering getting it as a way of reclaiming the symbol which some punks have done
Hey Katrin! I have a question. My mom won't let me get a half sleeve bc she thinks it'll stop me from getting jobs. I just wanted a film strip on my arm, it'll be easy to cover if need be. But she still wants me to wait until I get a job in the film industry. The only problem with that is with movies, it isn't only one job. After you wrap one movie, you have to get a job on another movie. She thinks that they will reject me bc of the tattoo. How do I get her to see that her reasoning is flawed? I really want the tattoo but I don't want to be disowned if I get it without permission.
You never know beforehand how your body will react to a tattoo. my first three were no problem, the fourth one had swollen so badly i could not walk for almost 2 weeks, after the sixth one (on my calf) made my foot did swell up so badly I had to go to the hospital. All the others did not make any problems whatsoever (aside from the usual.. sunburn sensation, itchyness and stuff)
Thanks to you I had all the info I needed to get my first tattoo and it was exactly what I needed 😊 ty for helping and putting ur info and personal experience out there for people to learn from.
If you see this comment and you are able to answer it when please please please help me out and answer it! For about two or three years I'm dreaming about how I'm going to get this specific tattoo... But the problem is that I saw that tattoo in a movie. That tattoo was not an actor's actual tattoo. The tattoo belongs to a character (wich means tattoo is fake and I think no one actual has it). Can I get that tattoo anyways or no? (talking about copyrights and stuff)
I can't tell you from a legal point of view, but a lot of people get like Harry Potter related tattoos and that's not copying 'cause it's from a fictional world and the tattoo didn't "come to be" from a real life person's brain. But I won't pretend to understand why you would ever want to get a tattoo that is on another body, regardless if it's fictional or not haha. I'd rather get something unique!
ShamelessRainbow BunnyCat Nobody can do anything to you if you get a copyrighted image tattooed on you. You can't be sued. You're not making profit from the image's use anyway. Nobody can force you to remove or cover it. It’s up to you if you want to have it. Hope this helps!
ShamelessRainbow BunnyCat I personally don't think there's too much of a problem with it? I know a lot of people who have seen the divergent trilogy have "copied" the 3 birds Tris has, I think some of the better ones are where the individual has put their own personal twist on it so it's not copying per say, not sure if this helps but yeah 😄
***** the tattoo I want is Eric Coulters neck tattoo (from divergent) and it looks so so cool and I tried so hard to redraw something different but It's hard so I was interested in what you are thinking ^^ thank you for the fast feedback!!! Love you 💚💚💚
I'm getting my first tattoo tomorrow. Wish me luck
good luck!
good luck
Good luck! Still waiting for my first tattoo...I need money. It's expensive XD
+Stephanie Furrer Oh I know. I've been waiting four years for mine.
Good luck!
you are so calm and kind of quiet in this video! probably for not echoing! I feel really relaxed now Kat! Point!
Haha yeah the echo and the fact that the walls are paper thin so everyone outside my office could easily hear me. Didn't want to speak too loud. ^^ But I'll get it fixed soon!
Katrin Berndt I am getting my first tatoo soon an I was wondering if coulour tatoo is more painful than black ?
I love this video! especially the part where you talk about accepting and loving your tattoo's imperfections! I've got a tattoo on my arm and the writing is a bit faded and uneven at some places but I think it looks like the type machine ran out of ink which makes it look even better :)
i kinda like the echo
Fotini Kar same
Fotini Kar not me. Kat's been pretty good at sound quality in her videos. When I hear the echo it sounds super noob to me. My cat ears won't tolerate bad sound. 😸
Ravyn Katzen yeah she has good quality sound in her videos but now I feel her like she is talking right next to me
As someone who got tattoos against their parents wishes, use your better judgement. When I was 18 my parents used to scare me by saying I was going to be kicked out. So I got one behind their back anyway and all they did was ground me at the time...

Shit advice
LFC91 I never said it was good advice. Just what I did, clearly not ideal for everyone's situation :)
I got a tattoo against my parents issues as well, but your views really affirmed what I told myself when they didn't approve. It's your body and even if they don't like it you won't be living with them forever (hopefully) so you be you boo :)
*wishes
9:40 really like that reaction!! ^^
It's a great start to your March madness project. Keep it up!
You look so wise Katrin in your new set up! It must be the chair.. haha anyways I really enjoy your tattoo advice videos!
Hhahha ikr :D
hahahahahaha
is it bad that i kind of like the set up XD
"Use SPF 5000 on it" ahhahaha you're too cute :D
I love your tattoo videos so much, you've answered all my other questions on previous videos and I'm so thankful! I plan on getting my first tattoo later in the Fall and having my consult in the summer-ish. And the echo is not that bad! I've listened to videos that have a much worse echo haha
To answer the question at 5:19 - just use high spf suncream everyday and you should be fine. It keeps your skin healthy and wrinkle free anyway!
Connor Woods thank you :)
no...that only works for very short exposure to the sun.
+Cheryl F yeah I wouldn't drive after getting a tattoo either. Not that I can drive hahah but if I could.
I actually got a small dot tattooed on my leg before my bigger piece I had done, to make sure I wouldn't have a reaction to the ink. If you're worried then maybe that's an option because a dot will just look like a tiny birthmark or something and when it's healed you'll know for sure that you're not allergic and so on
+OliviaZillman Well then you should make a dot in every color you're going to use 'cause usually you're allergic to a color, not just back. ^^
Katrin Berndt Yes, I totally agree. It was a bit unusual.
SPF 5000 😂
rosealie vicuna me bc i'm so pale haha

And that's a good advice! Thanks :)
it's half your responsibility to know the consequences of a tattoo and you should do your own research first if you're unsure about anything, hope it helps sorry to hear you had a bad experience
You are SO BEAUTIFUL
i love the new space and set up, lighting is amazing too
I use tegaderm and vitalitree.
Keep up with the good work
How is it even possible to have a crush on you without even getting to know you...ugh you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen! Keep it up 💜
In terms of the last question with the signature on the side of the hand, I actually heard that they fade super fast due to how the skin heals there. My brother has a tattoo there and needs to constantly get it touched up to fight the fadeout. If you have the money to maintain it, go for it, but that would be too much for me personally. I, myself, don't have any ink there, so I wouldn't know for sure.
i waited til i was 26 for my first tatt. now i have a fair few 😂😂 im glad i waited. a few of mine have been yolo.. lifes too short get the tattoo hahaha but i dont regret them. they all mean something even if they arnt perfect. ive changed alot over the last 5 years and each tatt is a step closer to being free of past crap. there was a chance for one when i was 18 and i didnt go.. my friend still did and regretted what she got within a month haha.
plus.. laser removal is so good at the moment and only going to get better.. so get the damn tattoo. lifes to short not to live
mine are also very diff styles all by diff artists.. some ppl have asked why i got them.not matching. lol.. im just going with what im going with and i have an eclectic taste in my life so why wouldnt my tatts reflect that mess that is me 😁😁😁
Ooh like the new set up and great advice as always
my first tattoo was on my wrist and it wasn't painful at all and the healing process went really good. i'm super happy with it plus it was a sentence and it's still legible so if it suits as an advice for anyone wanting a tattoo there: go for it. just talk with your tattoo artist and make sure you're making yourself clear
about the travel for first tat question,
i personally have very sensitive skin and lots of allergies. of all the people who would react, it would be me.
No one else notices these little imperfections so it's all good ☺️ i said imperfections a lot, oops.
thanks for answering my question!
im getting my first 2 tattoos soon and im so scared im going to regret them even though they're both really pretty and one of them has a fuck ton of meaning
Echo isnt too bad! The cheapest way i know of to help with echo is to tack thick blankets on the walls and put towels or something in the corners.
+Lexi Rampage haha most things can be worked around ^^ my boyfriend has a lot of random tattoos incorporated into his Japanese body suit ^^
I like the new space and great advice :)
Heather Lynn I guess I'm probably being a little silly about it. I appreciate your comment, thank you! :)
Tory Killam Us tattooed folk have to stick together! Lol
aw im excited for your new videos in your office!
About th e discomfort: you can use a numbing cream. Check the ingredient list and avoid vaseline, fragrances and alcohol.
If you have not already done so, could you make a video about tattoo safety? 😊 (Going to the right places, signs to look for when getting a tattoo in a new place, new artists and knowing what to avoid)
Hey people, if you are new to this, listen to her, she knows what she is talking about.
I actually like this setting :)
9:59 ooh.. that would make me so uncomfortable! I'm never getting anything identical because of it
9:41 SO MEEEE !
I really don't feel comfortable with all my research and I'm not comfortable with the 2of 6 tattoos pallor I chose 😩 I don't know what to do
You are so pretty! Love from The Netherlands!
I have a linework tattoo that's almost a year old and I can still feel the bumps. It's right under the inside of my elbow, so I'm guessing it's just because it's a thin skinned area? I've always been confused about why that was but this cleared it up for me 😊
it's not common but i got a large color tattoo and i ended up being allergic to the colored ink. You never know how your body will react
Does anyone know the artist who did her orange flower filler on her arm?
I really enjoyed this video.
THUMB UP - NEW PLACE!
I like that echo actually idk why :D
Actually u can fix bleeding tattoo. Tattoo artist need to go over these bleeding spots with white or light ink. At least it worked on me and some other people
+Elli Pullinen on some skin light/white ink can turn yellow. So I'm not sure if that's better than the blue tint ^^
Katrin Berndt Yeah, it can, thats why if someone need to do that - they should go to tattoo artist who knows how to do that properly!
cracks me up when you swear at the dog...why did you have to get a studio?
I didn't have to, I wanted to :) Just to be able to take my videos to the next level with more space!
My first three tattoos were all by the same person and then I kept going back to him 'cause I loved his work :) But it's fun to mix it up too so do whatever feels best ^^
can you do some hair tutorials? i really like your styles:)
+miamooree I have done a bunch :)
When it is not on the wrist will it fell the same as regular skin? Ps where did your necklace go to it was really cool
Usually yes! I can't feel my other tattoos :)
8:15 , cover ups, blast over?
I think I want it to be a bit more realistic but it is inspiering for the rest of the design^^
Thanks for answering Kat :)
Hey what is the brand of the shirt you are wearing? Cute!
Zara :)
Ayca okay, thank you! That works out perfectly since there's two "main" ones anyway :)
Could you do some braid tutorials or show them in vlogs? 😵😍
I have made a few!
Hi
Hello guys, please, can anybody here tell me the title of this song ?? 0:35
Thank you :D
If i got a tattoo on my upper thigh is there a high chance that the lines will bleed?
Sexy Ten Thank you so much! This really helped
han !! No problem! :)
lmfao "FUCKING dog"
as for me it's skin damage . no more
What about Norse tattoos?
Hi 😊😊
"Would u ever get a alt-right/fascist tattoo?"
Kat: i would never get something i don't stand for
SJW DEFLECT LEVEL 1000
Seriously?
To the workout person, I think there's also UV proof shirts you could wear when working out.
Charly genius, thanks!!!!
they are also used for golf & sports such as fishing
I got my first tattoo on my 21st birthday .. March 7th 2014... three years ago ekkkk!!! It turned out so well. It is a trumpet on my back shoulder blade and I still love it. I ended up getting my second one on the top of my foot and it was a treble clef mixed with a bass clef to form a heart. I really want another one done but haven't made the time to design it... soon hopefully as a late 24th birthday gift :) Sooo.. one piece of advice I would like to add is .. just do your homework and everything should go fine :) make sure to research your artists before you get it done.
100% agree with you! But even when you do your research, sometimes it just doesn't go according to plan. :(
I'm just mesmerised by your tattoos.
She was a new artist at the time, I think she had 3 years to her name so I don't think that's entirely new but farout.
fucking dog :@
Hello my tattoo queen, I hope you have an amazing evening 😊😊😊😘😘
I'm pretty sure the fascist question is referring to some sort of symbol from Norse paganism because Neo-Nazis like to get those tattoos so they have gotten a bad reputation recently
+Neb Nekkol Yeah I know. And I would never get a swastika regardless of the original meaning of it haha.
I really want the tattoo but I don't want to be disowned if I get it without permission.
jesus your pretty
13:00 not true in generall, guess its depends from person to person. But who cares about it anyway?
I don't know why but I find the echo very comforting for some reason :p
I have darker colored skin how would color tattoos look
You never know beforehand how your body will react to a tattoo. my first three were no problem, the fourth one had swollen so badly i could not walk for almost 2 weeks, after the sixth one (on my calf) made my foot did swell up so badly I had to go to the hospital. All the others did not make any problems whatsoever (aside from the usual.. sunburn sensation, itchyness and stuff)
+Aki Alchemicae yup! Same with me although nothing that serious. Just different swelling and some crappy healing.
You are quite possibly my favorite person on RUclips! I love your personality and authenticity. I want to be friends with you irl! 💞
I really appreciate these advice videos a lot. Thank you very much for taking the time to make them ♡
Thanks to you I had all the info I needed to get my first tattoo and it was exactly what I needed 😊 ty for helping and putting ur info and personal experience out there for people to learn from.
Hi Katrin. Congrats on the new Space.
I'm getting a badass Frost Giant tattoo on my arm pretty soon from a cool artist here in Houston.
When you said your style is mixed, in my head I could still hear you going MIXA - Miiiixaaaaaa 😂😂😂
omg katrin you are so clever, so openminded, so funny and also seem so relaxed! love your videos!
Spf 5.000+++++++++
Aa ok men varför pratar du engelska då?
❤️❤️
Katrin Berndt ok fattar❤️😘
9:41 lmaooo that cracked me up
You have a really good way of giving advice!
Btw I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ And they are really helpful ^^
