I would have Columbia Carousel at Six Flags Great America. Very photogenic ride. You can’t ride a merry-go-round without feeling like a small child. When I go on it I always ride on the top part.
My favorite flat Ride is currently defunct. Jimmy Neutron’s Atomic Collider at Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America. It was literally just an airtime machine.
@@coasterdaddy7123 Honestly, I don't know what it is. Check this video out and skip to the 2 minute mark to see its full potential ruclips.net/video/B8gFiZPv5PU/видео.html
I totally agree. I was extremely pissed that Nick Uni removed that thrilling and very rare flat. Far as I know, there aren't any more Zierer Witch's Dances around.
Wipeout at Kennywood was a favorite of mine, as was The Catapillar at Idlewild Park. One of my all-time favorite flat rides is the Music Express at Waladmeer Park, because it goes frontwards and backwards!
The craziest flat ride I've been on is a drop tower at the County Fair. It was so scary because you could feel the structure of shaking while you went up and it felt like it was going to fall over. But then the drop was super forceful and was crazy. There was a Great view to a football field too.
Great list! I haven't been on many flat rides because I normally decide to get extra rerides on my favorite coasters instead, but I might try some these if I get the chance. Chaos looks amazing
Talocan at Phantasialand is a fucking beast. It got new motors as well last autumn (after having mechanical problems all over the last two years) and they just throw you for a lot of spins. Also, it's one of the best themed flat rides ever.
I rode that carowinds ride you talked about but the one at KBF and hated it rofl and this is coming from someone who normally rides every rollercoaster multiple times. I rode Dorney Park's antique whip and liked that, the ride is fun and I think being so old is a really novel factor that adds a lot to those rides. My #1 favorite flat ride is probably Falcon's Fury at BGT but I also love good ol' fashion bumper cars, observation towers and railroad rides! the railroad ride at knotts is a lot of fun too with the actors adding a lot that that ride!
My favourite flatride is this Suspended Polyp by Gerstlauer. I‘ve ridden it at a local funfair and never had so much fun during a flatride. It was just insane! I think it was called Parkour or something like that.
Coaster Daddy I actually don’t remember where but when I was younger I lived in Sonoma so it might of been there or in Canada somewhere. I was young so I don’t really remember.
ErUPtion, formerly at Frontier City, is one of my all-time favorite flat rides. I miss that so much! I like all the different types of drop towers, and all the Zamperla frisbees. Minnesota's Nickelodeon Universe had several fun flat rides, as did Canada's Wonderland (Sledge Hammer really stood out for me there). Some of the ones on your list, I don't know if I would enjoy. I'll ride any roller coaster, but flats are tricky for me.
Good video, appreciate the content. For me, my top 2 have the same name... Skyhawk at Cedar Point, the S&S Screamin' Swing and Skyhawk at Canada's Wonderland, the Gerstlauer Sky Roller. Honorable mention to the Intamin Looping Starship and Huss Skylab/Giant Enterprise models, both a dying breed.
I've ridden quite a few flat rides though I don't keep track of the number. But my favorite is kind of a cop out but I just think it's clearly the best. That's the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at DHS. Sure, there are taller drop towers and I know some enthusiasts will think a Disney answer is weak sauce. But honestly, can you really argue against this one? On another note, the scariest flat rides to me are the Star Flyers. I get very sweaty palms.
Tower of Terror looks amazing honestly! I haven't done a Star Flyer but the Windseekers scare the daylights out of me, so I can only imagine how the star flyers are lol 🤪
@@coasterdaddy7123 if the Windseekers scare you then the Star Flyers will terrify you. On a Windseeker you feel exposed but there is something reassuring about the mechanical arm and complexity of the seat. Star Flyers feel like you are in a spinning swing ride but the chains are only as thin as necklaces which is what always terrifies me. That and the fact that I have to rely on these tiny chains while spinning 400 feet in the air.
Nice! I've been on Skyhawk many times as well as Barnstormer at Dollywood which is the same thing but smaller. Other parks also have the smaller version like Kennywood and Busch Gardens Tampa 🙂
My favorite flat ride is Shell Shock at Mall of america. Shell shock is the only sky fly in the US and is a fun ride where you keep having near misses with the other compact indoor structures! It's at it's best when you start spinning rapidly while going around! Definitely an underrated ride
Best drop ride I've ridden is apocalypse at drayton manor. Favourite classic ride: waltzer Favourite flat flat ride: break dance south pier And of course the best overall for me is talocan at phantasialand. That thing is terrifying
A dark horse family flat that I really loved was the Huss Topple Tower (unfortunately they had reliability issues). I rode Timber Tower when it was at Dollywood. The tower rocked back and forth in six different directions while the gondola spins. The added water effects on it made it one of the most unpredictable and fun flats (not knowing if you're gonna get wet or not). Here's a wiki pic of the water effect on the ride. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Topple_Tower#/media/File:Timbertower.jpg
Crypt was exactly like the former thunderhawk at Worlds of fun it was great at first because the water element got you wet and it was enjoyable but of course there's always someone that has to complain so they disabled it. Sad then they removed it☹️
My favorite flat rise that I have ridden is probably skyhawk at Canada’s wonderland or sledge hammer at Canada’s wonderland or skyhawk at cedar point maybe even lumberjack at Canada’s wonderland lol
I can't help but notice how rides from Huss are starting to disappear everywhere. Does that company even exist anymore? Well whether it does or not, I hope we don't loose any rides like the pendulum rides (MaXair at Cedar Point or Delirium at Kings Island) or those Aero 360 rides like the one at Kennywood or Meteor at Dorney Park.
Have you visited Canada's Wonderland yet? Because I'm pretty sure that park is most popular for their flat ride collection and none of them were in the list. (I am not triggered or anything. I'm just curious.)
I don’t pay much attention and haven’t been on too many outside of cedar point (with the exception of Canada’s wonderland) so some of my favorites are Skyhawk Power Tower (shot side) hmm. Honestly I don’t know what else. None of them at CW thrilled me too much (the topspin was closed while I was there)

I really like the Bayern Kurve at Kennywood, and the Tower of Terror at Disney World.
I like Bayern Curve too. Considered adding it!
The Crypt and the Whip are some of my favorites too!
Awesome 😊 so disappointing that they removed Crypt.
Yesss that thing was so tall and the cycle on that was intense enough to have me freaking out lol
I like the Zamperla Giant Discoveries
I like them, but they don't excite me much like Chaos does. Definitely very good rides though.
CW has some insane fly rides like the Huss Jump 2 and the Gerstlauer Sky Roller
Their flat ride collection is huge!!!
Wipeout at Kennywood was a favorite of mine, as was The Catapillar at Idlewild Park. One of my all-time favorite flat rides is the Music Express at Waladmeer Park, because it goes frontwards and backwards!

I love a good flat ride! My favorite flat rides are those towering booster/skyscraper rides you see at your local fair.

I LOVE Chaos 😁
Electro spin at carowinds is my fav flat. When it’s running it has so much down time but I recommend everyone give it a try.
If you like Electro Spin, you should see how the Top Scan on the German fair circuit runs. I preferred that ride to Olympia Looping.
Oh dang! I know you weren't as big on Olympia Looping as most are but still. I'll have to look up a video.
Zamperla Hawks and Midi Discoveries are very fun
Wow that top spin actually gave really good rides for an amusement park (judging by the shot clip)
I like that you are just saying obes that you like and not ranking them
