It is need to be highly intended to do CNC in this way(some fragments of cut sheet metal by hands Why not make moving table for flex before ? ) . Thanks for big job sharing Assemble and link of electronic part cane be most interesting . Especially interface program.
Wire technique is used to make sure the CNC bed is planar and not twisted. In mathematics two lines in a plane either intersect at exactly one point or are parallel. The test is done by connecting two thin wires or threads in X shape (two lines) to the points you want to check if they are on the same plane, i.e. edges of the tabe. If everything is good then the two wires should barely touch in the middle;ideally no gape and they shouldn't push eachother.
So to make a cnc-machine I have to buy a cnc-machine. Seems you need a lathe also. Not even half way through video, I'll keep watching to see if you'll use a plasma-cutter too.

Try linear rails, more expensive but better.
SBR 20 linear rails have good and not expensive. i have 1200x1200 machine and ballscrews all together cost less than 350$ cheap but good rails.
