Those scraped surfaces worked with stones give off the Robin Renz flashbacks, when he showed that moore crescent scraping of lab grade, sure, he is a benchmark, a standard setter and a goal keeper with his quality of work, but i can see the quality and effort akin to his, that went into those scraped surfaces... Great video as usual, the crashes at the begining brought back some memories 😢. A few tips as you start: try to stay in the 1/8 to 1/4in (3 to 6mm) range end mill for this power and spindle speed. If you need to engrave, brass is easier. Consider building a complete enclosure - CNC are messy and more importantly watch your CAM toolpath, you have a lot of tool pressure on your ring example when stepping to the next ring.
looking and working great! I've had my share of z axis crashes. A fulltime cnc guy where i worked pointed out that no matter how big the E stop button is or where its located it;s too small and too far away to save the day.
you know, i was just noting the detail work on the chip guard corner brackets, and admiring the work, But, what really catches my eye is the *thought process* and attention to every detail...
