I found this video yesterday, 5 days after I turned 18. I am a person who is very self conscious about my poor memory, I already don't remember huge parts of my childhood or events that everyone else that was there does. What I do remember incredibly strongly is that in 2012, for my 6th Birthday I got the first four episodes of the Lego Ninjago TV-series on DVD. I remember being absolutely obsessed with the show. I think that DVD is still to this day the one I have watched the most. I watched those 4 episodes over and over every time I was allowed to watch TV until my parents went mad from having to listen to the same episodes on loop. Even on family movie night all I wanted to watch was Ninjago. Eventually my parents got me episodes 5-8 and the obsession continued. Over the years I was given more of those DVD's. I loved this show when I was younger. And even when I was a teenager and I was "too old" or it was weird for me to watch Ninjago, I rewatched it. At the end I think I had DVDs up to episode 64-ish. I haven't watched the show now since like 2 years before I moved away from my parents about 2 years ago. You have inspired me good sir, to dust off those old DVDs or maybe start a Netflix subscription. This video is so well made, with such incredible thought put into it. Great work my man!!! I realise now how little sense that 2 years before 2 years sentence makes. Just know I meant about 4 years ago. I think I rewatched it during the pandemic
This is incredible. More Ninjago videos please. Btw, many of your questions are answered during the runtime of the show, especially during The Oni Trilogy (season's 8, 9, and 10). But overall, all seasons are a great continuation of each other with a lot of lore being added over the years.
It's been a running joke in my friend group to have "long before time had a name" to describe any of the couple thousand different things that Wu probably should have told the ninja about at some point before it became an active threat to their lives.

I never got any of the spinners, and somehow have never sought out an unboxing or even a demo of how to use them. I might have to try to get one now haha 1:02:32 "can we just take a minute to question the timeline of this series?" oh man oh man. no, such questions are never answered, it only gets more convoluted and contradictory 😂 1:17:21 The Ultra Sonic Raider really holds up after all these years. They have since made a convertible version that might be better as far as kids' play goes, but it just doesn't compare for nostalgia. 1:20:36 "They toss him out and leave him for dead" I would just like to say it is very amusing to watch an hour and a half video discussing Ninjago, which spent most of its runtime going dramatically out of its way to avoid words like Kill or Die, but every now and then you just offhandedly mention that oh hey, these enemies could've just killed the ninja in their sleep, or Garmadon could've used the Megaweapon to create an awful incurable disease. It's very funny 😂 1:29:41 "You think there will be others?" OHOHO ZANE YOU HAVE *NO* IDEA This was a great video, thank you for all the hard work that clearly went into it! Super looking forward to what's next!
For me, Ninjago isn’t just a good show, but it inspires me creativity. Back in 2018, this show introduced me to the world of Stop Motion and got me interested to making my own stories and even recreating some scenes from the show.
...As someone who intensely loved Ninjago during these first few waves but fell off shortly thereafter, I am 100% here for a Quinton Reviews-esque deep dive on this franchise; I can't wait to see just how off the rails the series has surely gone in my absence!
There's so much information that I only know because I was a mega fan of this theme. For a really big one- the preview site for what became Ninjago is special. It had a handbook of ninjas and gradually got minigames and hints over time. I still remember ninja Chip .C. Cookie because he had a funny name. Another big one is that Pythor appeared out of nowhere. He was in no sets when that episode aired, he was not in Lego's character bios (which mentioned everyone else and even spoilered a thing with Mia months before it happened). Pythor just showed up like he had spontaneously manifested.
Sorry for double comment but I wish that Zane’s dad instead of offscreen dying cuz harder to get voice actor that he’d died against stone warrior forced and let Zane have a “hello, my name is Inigo Montoya” scene
Frr though is Ninjago going end up being like Big Franchises like TMNT, Transformers, Scooby Doo, or DC with multiple shows, movies ad reboots almost every 3/4 Years?.
seriously ranking the sets is so pointless.... it doesnt add anythong to this video other then runtime.... i skip those parts... also why does it take you longer then 2 month to get the second part out....
