Digging Way Too Deep Into Pac-Man Lore
Просмотров 7 тыс.4 месяца назад
Pac-Man is one of those franchises you wouldn't really expect to have a deep or complicated lore. And to be fair, there isn't much... ...but on the other hand, there's still enough there to piece together a proper timeline for the events in the Pac-Man series. So let's figure it out! #pacman #lore
The Rise of Ninjago
Просмотров 6 тыс.8 месяцев назад
Ninjago is one of LEGO's most intriguing franchises, in the sense that it is a series that was never intended to last beyond a couple of years. And yet, it still remains as one of the company's biggest original franchises. The question to ask, then, is why? What is the appeal of Ninjago? In part one of this Ninjago retrospective, we aim to find the answer to that question, and by going through ...

An Unironic Lore Analysis of Bread Boys
Просмотров 295 тыс.Год назад
Out of the thousands and thousands of channels on RUclips, none of them are quite like Bread Boys, a simple little channel that has gained its fair share of attention. Despite how simple it may seem from a quick glance, there's a lot more to it than you may think. If you watch this video all the way to the end, there's something seriously wrong with you.
What Top Gear Really Meant

Top Gear is one of the most bizarre shows to ever exist. Not because of the quality of the show or anything, but rather because of how it evolved over the course of its existence. What exactly is it about Top Gear that makes it so special? Well, watch the video and find out. Or don’t, I’m not your mother. Subscribe for more garbage.
The Twilit Magic of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Просмотров 903Год назад
The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess can often be seen as a polarizing game in the Zelda series. Many people love it, but plenty more don't really care for it. But for those who do love it, what is it about the game that they appreciate? What's so great about Twilight Princess. While I can't speak for everyone, I can still explain what I love about it. It just takes me about an hour to do so. ...

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
I believed myself the Last of Them. Long have I journeyed across these endless plains of mortal existence, seeking others who might recall these Games of Old. Huzzah! When hope had all but left me, here I find a Man of Quality! One who remembers Heroica!
I thought no one remembered this haha
I never forgot Lego Heroica, nor did I forget about the Lego Games theme in general. That was mainly because I remember spending a lot of time watching all the tutorial videos for the games on repeat as a kid. Sadly, a good chunk of those videos seem to be lost to time since they were also old flash games, though some are still around as videos on Lego's official RUclips Channel. I just wish they revitalize those themes one day.
Heroica: The game I unironically remembered a few days ago before being recommended this game.
This video gave me flashbacks
0:02 I say this EVERYDAY 😭 i literally like pac man mainly for the lore aspect
I remember
I forgot about this game 😭😭 so much nostalgia
I remember loving the little mini figs so fucking much
No I didn’t
I remember as a kid I got eh castle for my birthday and bought the caves but never got the other 3 I might go back and get the other 3 to live out that childhood want to have all of them together and play through it
By the gods, a memory from my past unveils itself. I loved this game series as a kid, and i always had the sets on my wishlist, acquiring 3 of the original 4 sets. (Im missing Nathuz). I never knew about the 5th set or the Canadian exclusive mini 6th set. Man, now i want to dig them out of storage and play over them again. Thanks for this little nostalgia trip.
I loved Heroica, the figures are so nostalgic! I had the goblin camp poly bag, the castle, the bay, and the forest. I reaaally want to get the other 2, but money says otherwise. I really want to get more goblins, I flippin' love those guys.
I never forgot... I just never had anyone to play it with
such a great vidéo ! thank you
I’m unsure if I ever played the game, but I sure as hell knew about it
I had a space themed game once, can’t remember what it was called
The instructional videos were neat
I didn't forget. I literally never heard of it, oddly enough... but would have loved this even as an adult
THE BEST THING ABOUT NOT HEROQUEST IS THE BARBARIAN.
What if the septor of summoning instead brings dead teammates back to the game
In father vs father father's its stated that father , father father is bound to the chains of God but somehow broke the chains
Honestly no idea why Lego didn’t continue the Lego Board games. A lot of people I knew had them, and it seems like it would be a pretty lucrative cash cow for Lego for they released a few every year
How can you call something "a waste of money" if you can't actually afford it yourself?
"RPG You Forgot" as I stare at the whole collection literally 15 feet from me
I only had the caverns of Nathuse.
I hope this seroes gets a sort of revival. With mature board games becoming popular as of late, they could release a version of Heroica as an 18+, set with revamped gameplay, and sell it as a big game for ~$100. There's more than enough of an overlap between adults into DND/similar board games and Lego that it could be a moderate success. It's a shame Heroica had to go down with the rest of the Lego Games line just because those sets never took off
from what i remember in the context of the pac-man world ending scene, pac-man was going to reply to orson's "Nobody loves a ghost..." along the lines of "I do, especially the way they taste!" but they didn't have a voice for pac-man yet, so it looks like pac-man is just a sociopath
12:34 the scp foundation would love them
Please do a video on bionicle
Noticing a shocking lack of a certain Wii U, 3DS, and Mobile Exclusive era of the franchise...
The themed bedrooms feel so over the top because they were designed more as exhibitions than functional living spaces. Any child you ask to sleep there will run to your bed in the middle of the night since they got scared by the Frozen mannequins, or the giant shark on the wall. Even a teen or adult would've a terrible night since the lights and colors are overstimulating. Plus, the absolute nightmare of keeping everything clean.
21:27 9- inky 8- Clyde 7- pinky 6- Blinky 5- spooky 4- Mrs pac man 3- queen fairy 2- pac man jr 1- Pac Man
what.
@ my list
I needed this.
Imagine if Lego brought these games back but with way more stuff like a jumbo sized board
Well the original sets all fit on a paper map. Problem is the second series didn't Thats putting aside the fact that rules were never functional when combining sets
they get the power from the bread they eat
I sadly never got a friend to play with but I absolutely loved the theme and just playing around with the pieces by myself. I loved the website and all the options to look through there. And when my toystore got a lego promotion one day I even got the Ganrash, it felt so special to me and still does. (In Czechia btw) Damn I just entered a huge nostalgia rabbit hole, didn't I?
Man you just unlocked a piece of my childhood, i remember playng the digital version on my mother old PC with my brother
Bread Boys is basically if God was a discord mod
13:20 oh… my… bruh. They literally have the power of God and anime on their side
Hey… what’s the song that plays at the end called? 20:50
Why didn't they call pac mom like pac wife or pac girl
@19:40 I think the idea/joke is more that Father and Son are so connected to god, they can literally read his patch notes.
Pac mans 20th anniversary could mean he was marioee for 20 yeaes
So basically heroica was Lego DnD
16:20 *a 25 year old guys*
Hammond you idiot!!
cool next you should find lore in galaga
If I were to help a bit of the timeline, I think I could lend a few pointers. First of all, Pac-Man Fever, the game that is similar to that of Mario Party, would be canon somehow. While I haven't played the game, I've seen gameplay of the game here on RUclips. After seeing the opening and ending cutscenes of the game, I have found a way to make it canon to the Pac-Man Lore. The Game opens up with what appears to be Hollywood, but it actually turns out that in the background...instead of saying "Hollywood" in the big white letters on the hill, they instead spell out "Namco", as if to say Namco is their version of Hollywood. which means that some of their games are actually movies within their universe. Where I'm going with this is actually going to be summed up by saying that it's set after Pac-Man World: and Pac-Man: Adventures in Time. Both Pac-Man World (NOT Re-Pac) and Pac-Man: Adventures in Time both include outtakes. The Pac-Man World outtakes shows a hand in front of a camera holding a clapperboard and filming the scenes like a big Hollywood movie. The same thing happens for the outtakes of Pac-Man: Adventures in Time, but instead of a hand holding the clapperboard, it was Ms. Pac-Man holding the board. This would mean that the events of Pac-Man World, and Pac-Man: Adventures in Time were all fabricated, as they're actually movies within the games' canon, and the levels and bosses we saw in the game were sets and costumed actors. Both games were filmed in "Namco", which is what the Outtakes were showing. So with Pac-Man Fever, they were about to film their next movie, and so were all of the other "Non-Pac-Man but Namco Owned" characters, but the ghosts interfered and stolen the Mini Games Trophy. Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, and the Namco-Owned characters all have to participate in minigames, and even before the Minigame is selected and is about to start, you can see that there are lights above the locations of where the Minigames supposedly are. They...are sets.
Another thing is...Pac-Man Vs. Pac-Man Vs. seems like something that wouldn't tie-into Pac-Man lore that much. But I found out something that might tie it into the Pac-Man lore. Pac-Man Vs. shows us that the Pac-Man franchise has a Mario in it, as we hear Charles Martinet, the voice of Mario from the Super Mario Bros. franchise, doing his Mario voice to call out the title of the game just before the game starts. This kind-of got me intrigued, as it would've been the first time that Mario would've been included in the Pac-Man Universe, and also would be one of the times Mario crossed-over with a game outside of his franchise, before Sonic the Hedgehog. (More on the Blue Blur later). But for Mario in the Pac-Man Universe, I had to dig a little deeper (cue Princess and the Frog song) and while I was searching...I had forgotten that there was a Pac-Man/Mario Kart Crossover game. Which brings me into... -Mario Kart Arcade Grand Prix, and Mario Kart Arcade Grand Prix 2. Both these games are spin-offs of the Mario Kart franchise, but they both do feature Pac-Man as a playable character. I think that the voice of Mario in Pac-Man Vs. combined with the appearance of Pac-Man in Mario Kart Arcade GP 1 and 2, must have some sort of connection within the games. -Pac-Man World Rally That game I'd like to talk about really, because I think it also kind-of continues my previous comment. Pac-Man World Rally may not look like it ties into the Pac-Man World games, despite having "Pac-Man World" in it's title. the game included characters like Erwin, Spooky, and even Toc-Man (albiet a different design than PMW1) and some other characters like a new character named "Pac-Devil" and other Namco-owned characters such as Mr. Driller (the Son of DigDug), and Mappy Mouse. However, as previously talked about in my other comment, Pac-Man Fever also had Non-Pac-Man Characters, like the ones from Tekken and so on...and I deduced that Pac-Man Fever was taking place in the Movie Studio where Pac-Man World and Pac-Man: Adventures in Time were filmed. Mr. Driller would be the only one who would make sense to be actually canon to the Pac-Man Lore, as Mr. Driller is the son of DigDug, and we see the Pookas from DigDug in many Pac-Man Games, including the Pac-Man World games, therefore DigDug would also exist in the Pac-Man Franchise. However, Due to the design of Toc-Man and the rest of the characters being entirely different, including Pooka, and the fact that it includes "Pac-Devil" who is a character we've never seen in ANY of the Pac-Man Games, this wouldn't be canon. But what will blow your mind is that, there's a reason as to why this is inconsistent. In the map "Retro Maze", it begins with Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man playing a Pac-Man game, which the camera pans into the game they're playing, revealing the map we're playing in as the Retro Maze. Meaning that "Pac-Man World Rally" is a game within a game, and that the REAL Pac-Man is the giant Pac-Man we see outside of the Map, while we're playing the game through *HIS* perspective. Pac-Man has been shown to play his own games before, as there actually exists an arcade in Pac-Man World 2 where you can have Pac-Man play the original Pac-Man games. Pac-Man World 2 has it's own version of the "Original Pac-Man" game that has Pac-Man's avatar looking like his "world" counterpart.
