  • I really long time ago I saw a particular film that scared the hell out of me. I've spent a long time wanting to go back to it and face that fear.

Maximilian had more uses than a Swiss army knife 😂 I guess the film needed a dangerous villain, and what better way to introduce the audience than to drill a hole through some guy. You've brought back one of my suppressed traumas. I remember the very first film that made me genuinely horrified as a kid: it was Aliens. That scene when they discover the colony all cocooned up and slimy, and then that scene with the chest burster omg. Still my all time favourite ❤️

I’m glad I never seen that movie, probably would’ve hated space stuff and ruined my eventual love of Star Trek.
Jaws freaked me out as a kid. I’d be at the local public swimming pool, swimming under water in the deep end when I’d suddenly notice the hum of the pool filter and think ahhh sharks and have to panic swim to the edge and get out and I’ve avoided beaches ever since.
Also the vulture things in Dark crystal are scary, even as an adult I hate them, they’re gross.
I had nightmares about the movie Return to Oz and chose not to show my kids that movie.

There’s a whole other video “most violent PG death” 😂

There's a HUGE comparison to be made to warhammer 40k as well with this film. The lobotomized crew are literally the exact same thing as a servitor or maybe a skitaari considering they apparently have enough of their original selves left to want to hold a funeral.

That was an awesome movie. Very intense. Maybe too intense for kids ironically.
