I can kinda answer this as an engineer (I don’t do cool robotics stuff so dw I won’t be the one building a robot that kills us all lol) the thing with this type of ai is that it’s kinda all or nothing. it’s very likely that once we figure out a way to build an ai model that is self improving (basically learns how to code and rewrites its own code to be a better ai…. and rinse and repeat x100000) that ai will very very quickly (literally like overnight) become magnitudes smarter than us purely because of how much faster computers run computations than humans. then u have engineers that work pretty much entirely off trial and error (u try something in a fully controlled safe setting and keep fixing bugs til it works) but that’s just…. not rly possible with ai that’s meant to teach itself because it’ll become smarter than u very quickly and can decide to just not let u turn it off. so we get one shot at it and if we get it wrong then whoops creepy tiktok dancing super killer doll haha
Also Megan is intended to be a toy. There is no way these cheap ass corporations would spend that much money on basically indestructible materials like that. For one, they want to keep the production budget down. Two, they don't want toys to last long so that parents will keep replacing them.

I went to see this in the last weeks in theaters with my friend and there were like 7 other people there. Ever since M3gan started singing, the room was just filled with laughter. This was definitely a comedy (and not worth the money we payed) 😅
Megan is supposed to seen as human as possible, that's why despite not needing to turn her head or eyes the same way, she does. We've mirror neurons that activate when we undergo empathy, especially upon seeing facial expressions. By allowing her to have as much of facial expressions as possible, you're increasing the chances of humans feeling empathy towards her. She's a learning machine as they say, so she'll pick up facial expressions to use. Same way she learns to teach lessons, like taking the neighbours dog from her to highlight it wasn't the fence, but her owners negligence in controlling her dogs and is punishing her by taking her dog out of sight permanently. It's why she rips the boy's ear off while she could have stabbed him in the eyes or anything. It's how she's learned adults handle bold children. Not to mention she kills the neighbour through torture first, because she herself was being tortured by the dog for a while. And the family "tortured" by the neighbour.
Love how Dylan is advocating for poor Cady and ALSO wants Bruce to yeet her out a window 😅 I really wanted to see him react to the Titanium singing 😂 I hope the sequel is even better. Like James Cameron T2 quality better.
I have a funny story related to this movie. While we were watching it, I shouted at Alexa, who is in the next room "Alexa, please don't kill me". Alexa's response was "Uhhmmm, I don't know about that" . Made me LOL but worried me a bit at the same time 😬
I actually really liked this movie. I think I have it a 7/10 on IMDB. I went into this movie KNOWING it was more of a satirical/thriller/dark comedy with elements of camp. I got the overall message of it commentating on the nature of ipad parenting and, and how we give SO much of ourselves to technology. The ideas of things recording you without your consent….we deal with that alllllll the time. Or even the idea of tech companies profiting off of the minds/emotion/ of children (like Tik Tok) nature of tech companies. Hence why Katie being used as the emotional anchor isn’t that weird (morally it is). I did think the beginning was slow but once I picked up on everything I was fine with it. I went into this movie (via the commercial) think it was going to be a 3 out of 10 so it totally exceed expectations.

I saw it in the theater with my dad, and I loved it. I even have my own custom M3GAN doll. M3GAN is my favorite movie of 2023. I love her voice, and the fact that she sings and dances, of course.
Haven't watched the video yet, but I just wanted to say you're the reason I started watching movie commentaries. You are hilarious and I've rewatched your videos so much and I laugh everytime.
Dylan, I live in Jacksonville and I've been watching you for years. I fangirled a little when you mentioned it but I would also choose the deadly AI robot instead of living here.
I think the movie would’ve been better if it kept an R rating, they apparently cut a lot of horror aspects out for that pg13, I think the two assistants were supposed to die too but they reshot it (but I’m not 100% sure that’s true).
@@foolishlyfoolhardy6004 Thanksgiving is rated R and was pretty fun to watch without being too overly gorey in my opinion, the kills were pretty cool and creative. Cocaine Bear is also rated R and was still campy and fun too.
@@foolishlyfoolhardy6004 I actually don't really like jump scares or body horror much, so movies like the Nun or that Evil Dead movie that came out this year I stay away from. I only want to see campy fun horror with over the top semi hilarious kills, so I still think Megan needed to lean more into that aspect because it's somewhat lacking in my opinion.
You pulling out the bag of marbles cracked me up! 😂 I forgot you bought those! I didn’t care to see this film and after watching your commentary, I’m pretty sure if I had sat down to watch the whole thing I would have felt like I wasted my time. So thank you for your sacrifice. As always, you had me laughing throughout!
I just love movie commentary monday, it's THE most consistent content. I think megan is a campy horror movie rather than being just horror movie, that's why people liked it
I've seen this movie twice on my own but it just hit me during this video that the guy who sings "Sitting is the opposite of standinnnn" is in it. Love that doof. This movie isn't so much "horror" as it is campy. Its got plenty of comedic beats, Megan is serving look after look (the sunglasses with the deep brown trench coat??? iconic), she's slaying dances on her way to slaying people, and she reads Gemma to absolute filth. I cannot wait for the sequel.
3:06 there are definitely scenes in movies and TV shows that I call, car crash shots, because there's no other times you see a certain kind of framing, also on TV shows you rarely see characters traveling from place to place, so when you do see them in the car or on the plane, there's either going to be important dialog or a major accident
I never thought of it, but that is so true! And we intuitively know it, right? As soon as there is a car scene we pay closer attention and, in these kinds of movies, get nervous
I love the marble joke almost as much as I love the consistency with which Dylan uploads every. single. monday. And Jacksonville is obviously the best city on earth, home to the man, the myth, the legend Jason Mendoza.
I'm gonna be honest, I have no idea what I would do if I had a hypothetical niece who suddenly came into my care because their parents passed. I don't want children so while I totally would try my best, I think I would actually make a terrible parent/guardian, which is why I never want to have one lol.
Like I can barely take care of myself on this hell of a planet, now I gotta take care of a child I never wanted??? And I can't even blame the kid bc it's totally not their fault, but goddamn, this would be the worst lol.
No same here, so I don't think the hate on this character is fair at all. People who don't want to be parents suddenly being forced to take care of kids can't really be expected to be good at it since they're doing it entirely unnaturally and unwillingly. I'd despise parenthood.
You always have the choice to say no to caring for a child! Even if that child has no other living relatives. No one can force you to become a legal guardian, not even a court system. I've worked in child welfare; it would open up room for way too many lawsuits and too much child abuse.
24:11 so I’m a Canadian law student and to charge someone with an indictable offence they would have to have the mens rea and actus reus so their mental intent and the action that lead to that crime and she didn’t have the intention to make a killer robot and once she knew she tried to disable Megan but they would fault her for not contacting the authorities also, so in my personal opinion I feel she would get manslaughter because she never had the intent to make a killer robot but people still died as a result of this robot and she is main creator of it
From what I understand about the movie is that for some reason is really big with queer people. I think that it's meant to be some sort of anti-horror movie. A lot of fans actively rooted for Megan throughout the movie.
camp horror is its own subgenre, but i think it's usually only appreciated by horror fans rather than general audiences. horror fans usually care less about jumpscares and just want to have fun watching a movie in either humour or cool visuals. and dark subject matter with goofy/funny execution has always been huge with queer audiences, look at heathers and jennifer's body

The fact that I just got introduced to this channel and my slight binge had led me to your introduction of the marbles and retirement of them in back to back videos already saddens my heart lmao
I remember finding this channel around 2020-2021 and just loving it! Seeing your platform grow and get bigger sponsorships just makes me so happy for you and really gives me a scope of how much you’ve grown. We love you Dylan and never stop doing what you’re doing here which is make thousands of people laugh every day. 😊❤
AYEEEE MY BEST FRIEND IS THE VOICE OF MEGAN! i was waiting for u to react to it 🎉🎉
ariana what are you doing hereee
you watch dylan?? 😱
18:06 i personally think the marbles should NEVER go away, they fit too perfectly!!!!
missed you dude

Wym? We see him every Monday
Yeah me too
The amount of happiness I felt during the marble joke! Insurmountable 😂
Okay, but if Dylan made a series where he reviewed old, niche Christmas movies, I would be so down 😂
Am I the only worried about how consistent he's being lately? Who's holding you hostage Dylan? 😭
Blame Bubly
😭😭 😭
it almost feels like he's spoiling us before he takes a break in January like usual and we gotta go a month without him
@@tati.nightwingnot looking forward to january 😔
Probably the now inate desire to make money since we live in a capitalistic society
He's making thousands of dollars per upload, to watch a movie- he's doing just fine, dear. Lmao
Dylan never misses a Monday
that's why it's called movie commentary monday
Yasss
it’s thursday
@@jingl3ballfor some reason his followers like to make this joke in every video multiple times
@@TessaxMusic95 We're just appreciating his consistency bro. It's hard to see youtubers taking their jobs this seriously.
okay but why is 480p the highest video quality i can select? i want dylan in HD
I was looking for this comment
Ikr 😢
Stop that’s so true omg 🤣
at first I thought it was some kind of joke since dylan has complained about how some streaming services' hq is still awful 😂
Literally i’m like :((((
so, funny thing is, i arranged with my coworkers to go see this film but unfortunately we got lost and then stuck in traffic so we were late and had to buy tickets to see puss n boots the last wish and ended up sneaking in m3gan right when she met katie but the experience was fun, lots of laughter rather than horror.
if you haven’t reacted to puss n boots 2 tho i highly recommend. we still went to see that since we had the ticket and it was so visually and comically fun and had a surprising amount of heart! i cried more than i wanna admit so i’d love to see your reaction.
Dylan always takes january off. It's difficult for him since he's so consistent with videos every Monday. A well deserved break.
I went to see this in the last weeks in theaters with my friend and there were like 7 other people there. Ever since M3gan started singing, the room was just filled with laughter. This was definitely a comedy (and not worth the money we payed) 😅
I wanna hope the director and writers knew how goofy the idea and trailer was and just decided to go with it 😂
@crunchytomato20 of course they knew it was campy! This movie has legitmate money behind it lol
Worth the money I paid
"Kids love jazz hands"
You're ready to be a father, Dylan
Dylan's videos never disappoint. I really needed this too, life has been really rough lately. Thank you for bringing me some happiness. 💜
Here’s to hoping 2024 is the year Dylan finishes the HTTYD series 🤞🏽
I love that I never know what’s coming from Dylan as far as what he’s going to watch. But we can always rely on his schedule :D
Love how Dylan is advocating for poor Cady and ALSO wants Bruce to yeet her out a window 😅
I really wanted to see him react to the Titanium singing 😂
I hope the sequel is even better. Like James Cameron T2 quality better.
not only is she going back to work immediatelly after having a new child she's using her niece right after her parents die for said job wow
I have a funny story related to this movie. While we were watching it, I shouted at Alexa, who is in the next room "Alexa, please don't kill me". Alexa's response was "Uhhmmm, I don't know about that" . Made me LOL but worried me a bit at the same time 😬
😅😂 dont ever give them aposable thumbs. And be kinder. Justtttt in case 😆
When I watched this the first time, I nearly died laughing from her dancing and when she went into full on bear mode when she attacked the kid
She be switchin up real fast
@@swelanajohn7170 why couldn’t she just sprint towards him??
@@Sarahonwheels animals with more legs run faster and trip less, humans are only designed with two bc our heads are heavy. if speed was their priority four-legged mode was inspired, but idk why u would need that for a toy lmao
Cant believe Dylan never misses a Monday. Top tier consistency👌🏾
ikr... most consistantcy ive EVER seen
Every once in a while I think "where is my Dylan's video?" And later that day he always posts. I think I have a biological alarm for his videos, love it
M3GAN was literally my obsession for the first half of 2023. The moment I heard about the movie and saw the trailer, I knew it would be one of my favorite movies. I love doll horror movies.
You are hilarious and I've rewatched your videos so much and I laugh everytime.
when there are no more princess switch movies, this is what happens 😭😭
When Dylan posts, he actually gaslights me for a moment that it`s monday
What do you mean, it is a Monday???
Dylan, I live in Jacksonville and I've been watching you for years. I fangirled a little when you mentioned it but I would also choose the deadly AI robot instead of living here.
Dylan calling Brian Jordan Alvarez a "doof" was a highlight for me lmao
I just got hurt by someone I think I loved, am really down but your videos always manage to make me laugh. Thank you Dylan
I think the movie would’ve been better if it kept an R rating, they apparently cut a lot of horror aspects out for that pg13, I think the two assistants were supposed to die too but they reshot it (but I’m not 100% sure that’s true).
Definitely would've been better if it was actually horrific. This just ended up being a cheesy comedy where nothing scary happened.
Dylan being consistent with his videos is my Christmas present :)
Don’t kill the marble joke! It gets me every time 😂
You pulling out the bag of marbles cracked me up! 😂 I forgot you bought those! I didn’t care to see this film and after watching your commentary, I’m pretty sure if I had sat down to watch the whole thing I would have felt like I wasted my time. So thank you for your sacrifice. As always, you had me laughing throughout!
The marble joke gets better every time. Keep it up, Dylan! It'll all be worth it soon.
Ahh another movie commentary Monday. Keep up the good work Dylan. Love your punctuality.
right!?
so rare to find this type of thing these days!
I just love movie commentary monday, it's THE most consistent content. I think megan is a campy horror movie rather than being just horror movie, that's why people liked it
finished my final exams today and just got home to have dinner and dylan drops a new video. my life is amazing
SAME!!
whoohooo
@@tjack43 LETS GO
"just like that snow truck warped your parent's bodies." I fear I may have laughed too hard at that...
Never knew seeing a bag full of marbles would make me so freaking happy 😂😂😂 love you Dylan. ❤❤
3:06 there are definitely scenes in movies and TV shows that I call, car crash shots, because there's no other times you see a certain kind of framing, also on TV shows you rarely see characters traveling from place to place, so when you do see them in the car or on the plane, there's either going to be important dialog or a major accident
This was used in that first episode of Last of Us!
I never thought of it, but that is so true! And we intuitively know it, right? As soon as there is a car scene we pay closer attention and, in these kinds of movies, get nervous
@@clevercat34 exactly, I can almost always call out a car crash in movies or TV because of the way they frame the shot
Love the quality HD experience with this video
I have never seen Dylan in this high resolution before. Very immersive. (This got fixed but trust me it was funny for like 2 hours or something)
"It's gonna warp the wood like that truck warped your parents" omg Dylan I'm deceased hahahahaha
Concerned parent Dylan comes out in this kind of movie and It's his most attractive quality! He already mastered the dad jokes!!
18:06 Never gets old 😂😂😂keep the marbles jokes coming!!
Ah yes It’s never a Movie commentary Monday without Dylan uploading on a Monday 😂😂
Makes my mondays so much more bearable lol….
Dylan being a better care giver than the fictional aunt
I'll never get over Dylan's excitement over characters dying in movies. "You're about to die ✨ yayyy 👏✨"
Dylan’s videos are my favorite things about mondays every week.
Yet another consistent upload this Monday. Sanitaryyy
Watching Dylan and Pretty Much It watch Home Alone is like a Christmas must for me... you guys should do a Christmas collab again. We need it! 😂
You know it's a good video when Dylan brings out the marbles!
Dylan’s Wisconsin accent comes out so strong whenever he says Jaguars 😍
Tell me why Dylan makes better plot threads tangents about movies than what they actually do
I was not prepared for the marbles to make a return 😂😂😂
The marble jokes got me through 2023, $7 well spent if you ask me
I love the marble joke almost as much as I love the consistency with which Dylan uploads every. single. monday.
And Jacksonville is obviously the best city on earth, home to the man, the myth, the legend Jason Mendoza.
the marbles joke never gets old 🤣🤣 another amazing monday movie commentary, thanks Dylan! 😂 I love THIS mondays 🤪
@@hgdellinger And didn't the social worker talk to her about Cady's other relatives wanting to take care of her? Problem solved!
It was very camp!
camp horror is its own subgenre, but i think it's usually only appreciated by horror fans rather than general audiences. horror fans usually care less about jumpscares and just want to have fun watching a movie in either humour or cool visuals. and dark subject matter with goofy/funny execution has always been huge with queer audiences, look at heathers and jennifer's body
How tf is a movie about a killer doll linked to queer people? 💀
@@ceezee57she’s a slayful killer doll
@@ceezee57well i mean brian jordan alvarez, the mastermind behind the gay and wonderous life of caleb gallo, is in it n thats reason enough for me to consider it queer
