Another great video as always. Glad your back on the road. Always hard to get back in the swing of things when you have been down for awhile. Keep up the hustle.
Going into San Diego...better make sure you have enough fuel and time on your clock to get in and out...truck stops are few and far between down that way.....keep doing what you do brother! Love the videos!
Thanks bro!!! Ya man I would have thought there’d be at least one truck stop, but no! I had to find a Shell station and maneuver my way in and out to get diesel on my way out of Vista.
@Blue_Sky_Hotshots man...youre up early...its like 4am out there! I'm on East Coast time....Binghamton,NY is where i currently am at...going to Portsmouth, NH...be safe out there driver!
Nice seeing videos again. Love the 'on the road' shots, since it's all places I used to travel. Miss the Siskiyou shots, but it's all good (edit* I gotta remember to comment after the video, not during). Just out of curiosity, on an unrelated topic, I would think the time off when the truck was down would have been a good time to get the CDL. Would you say the CDL more of a bonus than a necessity in hotshot?
It just depends on someone’s situation I guess. I could definitely use a CDL and I’d prefer it, but I couldn’t afford it while also paying for everything while being down, it was just too much. I definitely thought about it.
How much does your trailer weigh and what is the empty tongue weight? Is this RAM 2500 or 3500? If 3500, you don't want to install a slim diesel tank so that you don't have to refuel diesel at California prices?
How do you book your loads? Do you have a dispatcher? I see you have multiple trucks in your MC, do you also let other owner operators run under your MC?
IMHO you pros should stop advertising what you make. Thats no one's business but your own. This invites even more wanna-bees into the industry lowering prices even more for (again) pros like you and Alex.
Anybody running freight for hire has to have an ELD now and log hours. Same goes for weigh stations, we are under all the same regulations and laws as anyone else. I have an ELD in my truck and have gone through multiple level one inspections. I think it was about 3-4 years ago that they changed it.
Thank you for your service.
Hey man thanks for sharing your journey it's good to see you back on the road. I'm hopeful that I can get in the game mid 2025!!

Good video bro, what kind of load board do you use?
How is your truck doing since the repairs? Hopefully driving and handling ok for you...

I'd love to lease on with you.
So non-CDL means no 10 reset needed, right ?
Still need to do the reset as well. It’s the same as a semi, we just can’t use sleeper or split our clock, we have to run it straight.
If non-CDL, why pull into scale ?
