  • The Los Angeles Lakers overcame a 24-point deficit in the first half and beat the Sacramento Kings 100-99. (2:44) On the final possession, Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal both missed layups, but Vlade Divac whacked the ball out to the perimeter to Robert Horry who buried the game winner to propel L.A. to the Game 4 win in the 2002 NBA Western Conference finals.

15 point comeback used to be incredibly special. This 20+ comeback was UNTHINKABLE. This was back when teams didn't crack, didn't get emotionally unstable. Back in the day if you ended the 1st quarter up 10+ there was a good chance you were gonna take care of business and win the game. Now you can't trust anybody. If anything, a team is up early, they're more likely to lose now!

Exactly, if he didn't balntly clothlined Nash, consequently got several suns players suspended , the Suns would have a great chance to win it all that year, and maybe another one, and Nash would be about where Steph Curry is today, and the small ball era would be several years earlier. We were checking the score with them. And the collective roar from the valets when Horry made this shot is actually my biggest memory of the wedding (apologies to the couple!). Chris Weber, Vlade Divac, Mike Bibby, Doug Christie, Peja Stojakovic, Bobby Jackson, and a young, underrated Hedo Turkoglu 🤯. The West during this time was out of control. The Lakers, Spurs, Kings, Mavs, Twolves, and Trail Blazers ranged from very good to excellent. Anyone of these teams would of won the East Conference.
