Robert Horry was the epitome of a perfect role player every championship caliber team needs since superstars can't do it by themselves. Does everything asked of him and the big moments don't faze him at all. The bigger the game was, the better he played.
I love that fact that both Kobe and Shaq missed a shot they both would normally make with ease.. Horry over there chilling like “I got this”...I’ll never forget watching this at home live as a freshman in High School
As a lifelong Laker fan, i watched this game on TV and when Horry hit that shot, I cried. Only time I've ever even got close to crying due to a sporting event. It was epic in every way, and Hollywood couldn't have written something more dramatic. Big Shot Bob is one bad ass player that doesn't get enough love for his playoff performances. Not just 3s at the end, he's the kind of guy that will get you a critical steal or make a great pass etc. at key moments of the game. His entire 4th quarter in this game was masterful.
That series ends in Sacramento if LA loses this game. No way it would have come back for Game 6. Vlade taps that ball ANYWHERE else...ANYWHERE else...that series is all but over...still amazing to watch all these years later.
