How to hard reset Tesla Model X Quickly & Easily (2016-2021)

  • Most videos show a more complicated process for hard resetting your Tesla Model X. This is how I hard reset our Tesla Model X which really does help gets most things working again!

    THANK YOU!!! our Tesla x was bricked in the garage with the key fob not being recognized even after multiple new batteries for over a week. THIS WORKED!!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Now we will cancel our service appt 3 weeks away!!

    My key was not being detected. Worked completely fine but did not register it was in the car. Tried every reset option within the car and nothing. This was the only thing that worked and you can tell it completely resets the system. Similar to wifi box, sometimes you just have to unplug it and give it a few minutes for it to truly reset. Im shocked this video doesnt have millions of views but yea.
    FYI dont mind the sparking when disconnecting, bugged me out at first but I had my hand all in there no problems.

    Appreciated. Fixed our glove box. But the sparkling when taking the cable off the battery... man I hate electricity :D

    Omg I can’t thank you enough my Tesla model X started giving an error and wouldn’t charge luckily it happened at home and I quickly did the thing on the video and also performed a reset after by pressing the two steering wheel buttons and it was all good! Loved it!! 🎉

      This didn't hard reset your Tesla? Or what was your exact problem?
