You can buy a proper 12v A123 that will pop your trunk. It's about the size of a AA battery. The extension cord thing can be ignored, just lower the current to 5A or so and re connect it. Hope this helps, mabe make a follow up video to share these tricks. I saw someone tape an A123 inside the to hook door just incase!
You can use the extension cord. Just set it to 5 amps on the charging screen to avoid a voltage drop. I charge all the time with 100 feet of cord, but it's a lot thicker than the one you had.
Usually with those jumper boxes you have to push a button to force out 12v. They typically look for voltage first before they supply any, hence why you need to make it force out the voltage. I’ve jumped a ton of fully dead cars with my NOCO jump box and once you force out the power, everything comes on
Vehicle Virgins Great Video I think it's awesome that you explained how hard it is to Jumpstart a Tesla and I think it's insane that Tesla charges so much for a simple tow
I really don't get the extension limitation. That the car isn't smart enough to trickle charge overnight for a couple of miles seems a real failure. RE jumping, cars generate a lot more juice than they used to. You can still do it, but you don't want the car that is being used to jump to have the engine running.
High voltage drop means high line resistance AKA fire hazard. If he lowered the current to 5A or less, it would have worked. I'm glad Tesla does this because some vendors didn't and the consequences are serious.
Tip ... If you are worried about hurting electronics on a dead battery car that needs to be jumped. If able disconnect the positive terminal from the dead battery (or both pos. And neg.) And hook jumper cables to dead battery from a running car and allow the running car 15 minutes to charge up the dead battery. Then disconnect jumper cables and rehookup dead battery to car and see if it starts. If the battery is dead dead trashed then this method will not work. It only works if the battery was accidently run low.
I hope you sell that pile of junk and get rid of all the headaches you’ve been having with that car. I think it’s time to call it quits Parker bye-bye Tesla.
With all the unbelievable great cars that you own and have the chance to review and drive why on earth would you waste your time on those overpriced and overhyped electric cars from any manufacturer?? Those cars will never have the heart and soul of a classic combustion engine car and I wouldn’t own one if Elon Musk himself delivered one to my house and give me one
Didn't watch this channel for a few years and wow Parker lost an insane amount of weight.
And hair
He looks mercked
And views? Lol

So how did you override the extension cord issue?
Maybe put a variac inline with the extension lead to increase the voltage to account for the sag over a longer distance
@@georgesnowWell, that just flew over my head. 😂
Turning the amps down would probably help

Parked my Model Y for 2 months during the Canadain winter not plugged in, battery went from 80% to 72%. No battery discharge problems.
Yea! Haven’t seen Christina in a minute.
Beautiful Patek Nautilus! I want the 5980 in rose gold on bracelet so bad
Anyway cool vid!
Interesting! Thanks for the information!
It's a 16 volt in the frunk, not 12.....at least not for about 4 years.
Noticing some changes in you Parker. Hope you are doing well. Thanks for the tip on Tesla. Make sure you take care of you!

Me and my wife went to Thailand for 2 weeks, you can literally turn off your Tesla lol it’s like a huge phone, went from 100% to 87% when we got back
Hey man great vid as always I hope everything is well with you. Lost quiet a bit of weight there Mann
Great Video! Thank you
You just need a thicker gauge extension cord and it should work just fine
I think the 9v battery thing was an issue with people breaking into the frunk too easily
"my girlfriend's mom's boyfriend Anthony" wha, wha, whaata
Not her stepdad yet.
😂 they always say that every company of different cars so you spend money with them.
That’s crazy you can’t leave the car mostly discharged for a few weeks with nothing active and still come back to it dead
Congrats, you prollly just voided the warranty.
Elon can forgive him
@@Sir......Never trust a Zionist like Elon and Trump, both sides have the same end game agenda aka China the blue print of the world
Void the warranty because you charged the car? 🤣
Tesla 🤦🏽
*Leaving your car with less than 20% charge for weeks was a bad idea, especially in the summer and in direct sunlight.*
Put anker solix f3800 in the trunk and and a rear window solar panel inside will be better
will AAA tow a tesla? their memberships are pretty affordable i think
They will, I was dumb enough to run my Tesla to ZERO. They towed it to a supercharger, when that didn't work, they towed to the Tesla service center.
I wonder why you didn't park it at your house?
3:23 idk.. sell it... LOL
videos to stuff sausages😂

Awesome
So it’s a nope. I will never cause I just can’t trust them.
Thought the tesla was the best 😂
Bruh, it has the same 12v battery as any gas or desiel car ,if you leave your gas car sitting for to long the 12v battery will go flat aswell
Sell it😂
Bruh.
That’s why I wouldn’t buy a Tesla because they bad shit 😂 😂 $900 nah
