I love your mannerism, joie de vivre, and how you express your demonstration. Its so campy and enjoyable to watch. You are a good speaker that would never make your audience fall asleep.
I was tempted to have a bunch of those jars of plastic cupped mango jelly imported so I'm glad I found this recipe!! Thank you for posting this! At my old cafe job, we would pour jelly into a cup, put those cups in a muffin tins on an angle, let that set, and then for the other layer of jelly we would sit the cups up so when it all cooled, we had these diagonal layers!
Finally got the chance to make this for a pot luck gathering. It is a hit!! Thanks Pailin for the wonderful recipe. The only thing I did not do well was the choice of mango. I bought the ones that had a lot of fibre which affected the experience slightly on the negative side. Now I know this, the next one will be perfect!
I made a similar recipe but I modified with gelatin coffee layer and coconut cream agar. I did add a little too much agar and it was more than my liking for that top coconut milk layer. But I'm so happy I made my first layered jello dessert and it was great. Where I'm from the stores have super intricate molded jello cakes and it's like 3D and beautiful. Thanks for the video!
Phew! Finally found this recipe. Was looking for it for a very long time. My local Thai restaurant has this dessert. I have to wait till I go to that restaurant but now I can make whenever I crave for it. It’s super easy to make with minimal ingredients. Thank you!
7 years late but I made this tonight and it is so good! I added lychee to the bottom layer because I had some fresh languishing on the counter. Thank you for this great recipe!
OMG Pailin!!! I tried it today and it came out soooooo delicious!!! We were totally melted with the taste!!! Superly duperly awesome!! N the details were very helpful! Thank you soooo much!!! Keep posting!!
This recipe is so good, just did the mango and mint with lemon juice (instead of lime) to cut down the money budget. Also used apple and mango juice instead of orenge and its so good!
It's been muggy in CA lately, so I made this asca refresher...and it truly was! A delicious one at that!! Thanks Pailin! Looking to make one of Lychees or jackfruit!
Hi. After watching your video, I went to my kitchen to try out this recipe. Oh my, it is indeed easy to make. This is so so refreshing. Definitely a keeper. Thank you for sharing and will follow your program to learn more of Thai food.
Hello Pailin! Minnesota here. I wanted to say thank you so much for doing this dessert. I’ve been making the simple coconut jello version for years and wanted to incorporate the mangos, well I found ur video and made some today and it is easy and we are enjoying it! Love it!
Hi,thanks a lot for the detailed info in the use of agar agar and encouraging people around the world to take great interests. I have a question. Is it possible to mix/combine agar agar and jelly crystals? Thanks in advance for your support and you deserve a medal for your work. 🎉
Hi Adam here - and I don't think so as they have different melting points, so you'd get crunchy jelly :). But if you want to ask her that one directly rather that put it out to the community (as she doesn't see the comments on here once the post is more than a week old as per her note above), you can check out all the options to get hold of her at hot-thai-kitchen.com/contact . Cheers!
Hello hot pai kitchen...you really make the best looking jelly based fruit and coconut dessert i've seen on the youtube...very delicious looking, easy amd all....thanks pai

Agar-agar is malay word that's spoken in Malaysia and Indonesia I believe. They use a lot of double barrel e.g. Kanak-kanak and etc.
Amelia Chin absolutely! there are so many doubled words in Bahasa and Malay
Amelia Chin
