This great. I had actually ordered a mirrorless camera to use as a webcam yesterday (Canon EOS M6 Mark ii) and I also bought a few lenses, one of which is the Sigma 16 mm f1.4. So this should be perfect for me. I won't be using a green screen because I want that natural looking blurry background.
@@_jimmyrose Ok, just check these things next time before you hit record White Balance - Auto or Custom DRO - Off or Auto Creative Style - Standard or any other Preset
@@v7shal My exposure comp was on -0.7 but I think that was a mistake. Going to increase that Auto white balance. I might need to fix this because I notice that sometimes the video is much warmer when it automatically adjusts Standard creative style Aperture priority DRO was on auto, but after watching some videos I'm going to try level 2
@@_jimmyrose thanks for reply 👍 I also noticed when auto white balance, there was slight color shifts whenever there is movement in Frame , Try Daylight Preset or Manually input the Kelvin between 5200K - 5800K look at the screen to verify if the color is actual true tone
Hit me up with any questions you have below
Nice Video! First time I saw someone compare the Standard Kit Lense and the Sigma side by side.
Glad you like that. I figured it would be helpful because I wasn't sure if it was worth upgrading
I’ve been working on my setup. Got an a5100. Now just to create all the great content like you do
Thanks Doug. Sounds like a good upgrade. Make sure you use it!

Nice! I bought a green screen and never use it for the same reason
Such a great video, exactly what I was looking for!!
Cheers Mike!
Im considering between logitech streamcam and sony a6000.. help? :(
The Sony is going to be a LOT better, but it's also nearly 10x the cost.
If you can afford a setup like the Sony, I think it's worth it
@@_jimmyrose exactly my concern actually.. do i need a certain connector to use a6000 for streams?
@@CCCookieCia yep in the video description you'll find a link to the setup video which shows everything you need
@@_jimmyrose oh yeah great! Thanks mate! Subbed :)
@@CCCookieCia thanks and no worries!
Love your videos. If I plan on using a green screen and inserting a background, should I consider the Sigma lens?
Thanks Adam. Nah I don't think so since the point of the lower f stop is to take the background out of focus
brief and clear ! nice video
Good video, thank you
I have the same camera can you tell your video Settings, you color looks very good.
I'll go through settings in the next video but I haven't actually changed anything. It's all default!

i got the camlink with a sony a7iii , i use elgato to stream but my camera video freezes sometimes , then i have to restart everything.. any tips?
That might be a question for Elgato support. They might ask for some diagnostic info from your computer to work out what's wrong
