Pretty cool setup but let me be the first to give you a heads up about the hex mag , I know they are affordable but the followers in them are made of a very cheap brittle plastic , back when i first got into that world i did it for two reasons one it was cheaper than magpul two the guy who invented the line is based in ga real close to where i live i thought i was doing a fellow gun enthusiast a favor in my hometown but it turns out that this product of his is just very quickly and cheaply made so i went back to using magpul and lancer mags never looked back save your money and get the brands you can depend on you will be happier !

Ah that's interesting to hear. Did you experience a lot of failures with your Hexmags? I own a wide variety of AR magazines and mostly run Magpul, Lancer, and Duramag these days. I actually haven't bought a Hexmag in a long time but I have a bunch of them in every available color from my earlier days as well. My main reason for using them with this gun is that they are the only FDE color mags I have so it matches the color scheme of the rifle. I personally have never had a problem with any of my Hexmags but I also don't run them very hard. They are mostly range mags and I handle them pretty gently and don't drop them or anything. Thanks so much for your 2 cents!
