Chewing gum on the mic is asshole tier for sure
Are you kidding me with the gum!!
Agree, basically lets the viewer know the IQ level going on here. Not suffering through anymore of this shit.
Lol, i like how bear creek gets its own tier
Bushmaster’s roll mark being so cool puts it in B tier.
Smacking that gum right in that mic lol.
Yeah man, Im glad I'm not the only one that was cringing at that.
I had to mute the video… zero self awareness
BCM is my benchmark. It’s right where $, quality and performance all fall into line. For each $1 spent above the price of a BCM you might get $0.25 increase in quality and/or performance. IMHO
I bought a triarc as a post deployment gift to myself right before the events of 2020. It was pricey ($2200) Great gun though. Bought a BCM more recently as my second AR. Gotta say, I like the BCM better and it was maybe $1100 after I took advantage of a sale. The law of diminishing returns is very real in the world of ARs
They are excellent, but their barrels are a step down from DD. Only reason I bought a DD agter I had a bcm was for their barrel, got the ddm4v7 lw and it's noticeably more accurate than the BCM barrel in my recce 16 kmr-a
100% agree. Best I could get out of my BCM was 1.30” MOA off a very solid bench setup. And a PA GLX LPVO optic. It’s a thin barrel and hates suppressor heat also. Therefore, to make the rifle perfect (to me) the barrel will get swapped to something heavier.
@@xxdizannyxxI appreciate you purchasing the best equipment you can, there’s just nothing to actually back up the claim that DD barrels are better. No statistics, no objective metrics to go off of. Just anecdotally fallacious testimonials. At the end of the day, both companies are battle proven and their barrels will last at least 15k-20k rounds before you start to see diminished accuracy
@@scott2228I’m guessing you have the enhanced light weight barrel. BCM doesn’t recommend running a suppressor through those. The MK2 with the standard BFH barrel runs like a dream suppressed, but that’s what it’s designed for

I bought an Aero upper and had buyers remorse when I received it due to the barrel not having a drilled gas port (bolt-action). They did fix it, and now I enjoy it quite a bit, but you shouldn't receive a barrel with no gas port. Thankfully I knew about their BCG issues so I had a Microbest at the ready.
that's a feature!
think about the fact that someone installed the gas block onto the barrel and didnt notice the missing gas port! how do they even make sure they are lined up correctly.....
@@FocusTripp hey man just bought a lwrc di how could you tell it is over gassed by more recoil or …….
Was it a ballistic advantage barrel? Almost all aero stuff uses BA barrels. I use faxon.
@@volkskrieg8735 faxon isnt any better, they OVER drill their gas ports. I prefer ballistic advantage for a budget build. never had an issue with BA
geissele and larue above LMT, Noveske, LWRC and HK is insane🤣
I do feel bad about LWRC
That would actually require LMT/Noveske/LWRC/HK owners to fire more than 50 rounds through them to get data lmfao. I think we accept they are good because it’s been used by the military community to some degree, which is its own fallacy. I’ve seen plenty of end users complain about LMT QC and even seen a Noveske bolt catastrophic failure. Are these lemons or do they make the brands a no go? It seems to be a lot of anecdotes and generalizations
LMT has PSA levels of QC. I'd even dare say, PSA has better QC than LMT as of late. It's sad.
HK is too busy getting high off their own farts to provide a good value.
LMT doesn't pay its workers much and is handicapped by location.
anybody paying $2k for a 5.5" 5.56 deserves to part with their money
hey....
lol
Sadly, I have just over $2K in a Radian Model 1, and it's the most accurate, softest shooting, tight-fitting AR-15 that I have ever shot. Otherwise, there are options that are less expensive.

I was under the impression the bad QC was a few years ago. Now the QC is back
Great vid my fellow German brethren . I own a BCM, Daniel Defense, FN, LWRC and PWS. Def A-tier value!
All that matters is the Mass Effect references.
I love my rosco k9 12.5 barrel but I wish they'd do it in something besides stainless steel in the series. I do appreciate the nitride finish though. I also love my 16 inch faxon pencil barrel. It has been a great performer for me in my lightweight rifle build. I've had a couple BCA uppers that ran great but I've definitely seen a lot of people have issues with them. I personally like to assemble my own rifles now though rather than buy a complete upper. Might have to buy one of your dissipators though haha. I do have a KE arms kp15 lower that has a lot of rounds through it and it works great. Its not the wwsd ambi lower. It takes triggers just fine and made a sweet lightweight rifle build. Great video
If they make a 4150 version of the barrel I will buy more of them.
Bear creek " Trash Can " 😂
I got a psa upper during covid and have about a thousand rounds through it over the past 4 years with no issues. I would gladly buy another upper from them again, and if I have to give it a look over I’ll chalk it up to a learning experience. I like to tinker. I have heard the horror stories of their qc though, so I like to think I’m not walking into it blind.
That said, I also wouldn’t mind getting an upper from BCM or focus.
BCM, PWS, ADM, Geissele, Centurion - would all be good options for complete uppers.
@@DrunkDrynastysame, I am like a jealous ex buying PSA products. My first was a bomb proof rifle I beat to death and was consistently impressed with. Also the worst gun I own (ks47) is a PSA and i am still butt hurt about it.
The problem isn’t that low quality brands can’t make good guns, it’s that they can’t make them consistent enough to warrant buying their brand
Do you have any opinions on Phase 5 weapon systems? I like the look of the uppers at a good price.
Non.
The last post John Noveske made was about how every mass shooter has been on some form of prescription antidepressant. Noveske quality used to be damn near S+ and after he passed it has seemed to slip down pretty hard. The infidel was the first 13.7 rifle I saw over a decade ago, before every other company went there. I wouldn’t pay $400 plus ever again since Johns passing. My geissele’s and bcm rifles are still my favorites. I’ve had every worth while brand on this list minus the lower end ones and KAC. First was old school bushmaster over 20 years ago but back then it was pretty much just colt and bushy. I’ve never experienced the DI LWRC but there IC SPR in 14.7”. That’s was when LWRC went after Sig lol. Funny to see how much has changed in this market
Im in SC. Psa or any ffl out of state can't sell to you but if it's legal in your state they can ship it to your ffl in your state.
Would love to see an Adams arms piston upper review.
Was the geissele rifle sale in their own web site? Thats a killer deal. Thank you.
Yes it was.
I jumped in half way, but did hear about the great deal on the Geissele Automatics Super Duty rifle for $1,200. Where can I find a deal like that?
It was on Geissele's website I believe. It's a temporary sale, they do 3-4 a year I think.

I wonder how Cobalt Kinetics rates on your list?
I need more experience, but I would imagine high tier.
Hopefully you get a Type-A and Blackout Defense on the channel in addition to Noveske and Radian. Noveske and Radian are definitely A+ tier. PWS and VSeven definitely need to be on your next list.
Noveske soon, I am not a huge fan of Type A.
Radian is definitely S-tier. No comparison.

I love Geissele and the REBCG is fantastic. I had one in a custom 13.9 that blew up due to an over pressured round from PMC and not only did Geissele send me a brand new REBCG free of charge despite it not being their fault but also were very responsive and sent me a bunch of swag.
Looks like it was a fun one. Thanks for the share!!
Describing the fact that you've shot a lot of customers DD rifles as "HAD TO" shoot it...rofl
I said what I said!
anderson sport upper is the best fitting upper ive tried its my fave, not billet and forged 7075 but is exactly an a2 upper but without forward assist done with billet after handguard fit problems
Wait, where can you get Geissele rifles for $1200?
Is there a way to donate to this channel. I’d like to buy you a coffee ☕️. (As long as its not black rifle company)
Fairly often what you’ll see with people trying to “save money by building themselves” is that, with all the extra money people spend on upgrading their mid tier rifles, they could have just saved that money up, gotten something significantly better straight from the factory, and have a lil money left over
I would very strongly disagree if the builder is competent. Instead of "upgrading", simply build from good parts from the start and the potential for a better kit is there. The determining factor is the builder. If the builder can competently source good parts, and can follow basic build procedures; then the possibility for building a good kit AND saving money is very possible.
The truth is that most that build their own rifles make mistakes, or don't put in the effort to find good parts for sale. On top of that, many are unwilling or unable to improve. I wouldn't let those people be the standard of comparison though. It hardly represents the capabilities of those in the gunsmithing trade.
Where is PWS & Sionics?
And SOLGW
PWS was in A tier.
We added them at the end.
How about silencer co?

cmmg has fixed my 22 bolt twice first a broken barrel collar which was the fault of an out of spec beyer barrel and also the weld breaking on the back after 10k rounds at least, both times for free and the rdb 8 inch bolt and barrel is awesome
Good to hear.
I know they don’t build full rifles but where would Criterion barrels go on this list?
Probably S or A tier. ADM, which is A tier, uses Criterion barrels, and I would say Criterion barrels are better than Geisseles and LaRues, which are S tier.
High Tier.
What's your opinion on KAK sandcutter ish BCG?

Where would you put Centurion Arms
No experience but a lot of questions about them.
Not sure about complete ar15's but im certain focus shooting llc uppers are at least for me are top tier.
I don't even think you can realistically put hk on for the 416/417 you'd have to look at the mr556 since that's all that's offered to the civilian market lol
No Midwest industries?
Im not understanding your explanation on the LWRC, you said Geissele is S tier and LWRC is not, but Geissele rifles are over-gassed more then the LWRC. I own both, once my super duty barrel gets hot that group opens up, My LWRC gets hot the group stays alot tighter, and the reason being is the heavy barrel. If a smaller contour barrel gets hot, the group opens up, if a heavy barrel gets hot thats built of quality, the heavy barrel hold groups better. Does my Geissele run like a well oiled machine absolutely, but i hold a 3oc pattern with my LWRC with zero malfunctions, my super duty is 2oc with 3 or 4 stoppages, PMC runs fine in my LWRC, run it through my Super Duty and every now and then she gets a bit unhappy with the PMC. I guess its pretty much preference. Good vid.
My LWRCs were much more over gassed than my Geisseles. I also have had that accuracy issue
I'm the opposite, my Geissele is gassier then my LWRC, cold bore my Geissele is a touch more accurate, after about 2 or 3 mags, my LWRC is a lot more accurate.
Nemo makes some great stuff.
Larue was S tier before Mark got butthurt by everyone shitting on the c note and doubled his prices. Now it’s A
wait for offers. I bought a complete upper in June 2021 for 710 bucks.
Primary Arms has deals often on their uppers
Deals still exist on some of the top brands.
Check primary arms now. Larue absolutely has deals and deserves the S spot
Primary Arms still ships whatever you need to Washington State. You must affirm a disclaimer before they ship, but they will ship what you need. Just know your State and Local laws and regulations.
What about NY?
@@A-PatrioT not sure. I actually called them and asked about what it is they are willing to ship out. Optics Planet just took a sh!t on us and won't ship anything.
I also called my local gun shops and spoke to staff about aspects of our recent AWB. There is much confusion due to vagueness of the law, in terms of our ability to buy PARTS for rifles like the AR15.
Basically everyone is using their own discretion in terms of interpreting the law. Some are willing to take the risk of selling parts within the state. Some refuse to chance it, other may provide limited items such as Barrels and Bolt Carrier Groups. Basically anything that is essential to the construction of an AR15 or its derivatives is off the table. Some places will still sell muzzle devices, collapsible stocks, buffer tubes, safeties, pistol grips, charging handles and so on.
In other words, many are assuming the "Right to repair", while others simply refuse to take the risk.
Speak to your local dealers, then call Primary Arms to see what they can do.
This is what I’m worried about in Colorado. That companies will just cut ties.
Good to know. Will have to keep that in mind,
Battle Arms Development and Mega Arms used to make really good receivers for the price, don't know if that is still the case today. Those were always my go to for stripped lowers.
I def agree with the Geissele placement. They are nice. And getting their triggers and reliability enhanced BCGs is huge value added. Most of us put them in our rifles that we buy from anyone else lol. I’d bet 80% of the guys posting here have Geissele triggers in their guns..or wish they did.🤓
good info to support the rankings.
POF is S tier the 416 is best ever rifle and I got a revolution for 1499 its amazing
Gotta slot JP in. Remember they don't just make gamer rifles. They are responsible for some of the highest end/most accurate large frame ARs, made waves in the SASS program with the RSASS (remington submitted their rifle)/ They have super high quality barrels, thermofit barrel extensions, great triggers, the list goes on. Easy A+
I think Geissele gets so much hate because of bill’s weirdness, and how pricy the ssa is. I think Geissele was well placed.
On a side note how often do you see full rifles from companies like KAC, LWRC, Larue, or Radian? I hear about them a lot online but I don’t think I’ve seen a single one in person. I’m slightly convinced that they only exist online for people to argue about on ig.
I haven only ever seen a few in person. But yeah, Bill is a strange man.
@FocusTripp SanTan Tactical? I don't think anybody mentioned them.
My first AR was the Ruger 556. I still have it and it still works, but the QC on it is terrible. The amount of slop between the upper and lower is laughable. And the Ruger furniture they put on it has long since broken off.
The best thing to come out of it was that it helped to teach me about gunsmithing and what to look out for on low quality ARs.
That's what my first ARs did as well.
At 13:16, did this man say he threw away the whole upper?? Or the barrel? Or the barrel and the gas block?
That should tell you everything you need to know about this guys view on saving money and value
What about Barrett? Never had a problem with mine 4000+ rnds later. A bit overgased, but I prefer the term " combat gased"
A lot of these companies don’t manufacture anything lol, they just buy from an oem and slap a label on it. Some will do in house QC, or pay for a high level of QC from the oem though.
A lot them do make changes to the products.
My favorite AR15 company is Sionics. The only thing they make is their barrels. Very accurate barrels. I have 5 samples that are all MOA or better with good match ammo. Both chrome and QPQ.
They source their uppers and lowers from Mega/Zev. Like others do. Their BCG's are NP3 coated. And they are completley vetted. A ton of departments use them as patrol rifles.
I’ve had problems with the higher end s and w rifles I had a ar10 and ar15 had jamming issues with both
I know they have had some issues.
No JP or Adams Arms?
Definitely should have put JP, I haven't tried Adams yet.
Curious where Griffin Armament would fall on this list. Their ambi MK2 lower is awesome and affordable. Pretty much identical to the ADM ambi lower at half the price. Plus they make all of their stuff in house.
Edit* Just seen where you speak of them pretty much putting them on the same tier as ADM.
There's a good dozen brands, maybe take a few that I would consider. Just so I don't get paralasys by analysis.
Dude was so salty on the Geissele part, lol.
How did Spike's make it to C? I thought you gave it a B?
He was supposed to move S&W down to C buy messed up.
Also zev bought mega. the owner of mega, the man that made mega what it was, left and founded icon defense.
Never baught a complete rifle from a single manufacturer. Always source upper lower handguard from Aero, bcg and barrel from others, Magpul furniture, gas block else where too. You can build a great rifle with a pinned adjustable gas block and a great barrel for $1000-1500
Ah no live chat replay?
YT is screwing up rn.
I'm gonna have to say this, because it didn't come from aero sight. Those complaints could have been some or even all from aero built uppers built by other companies using there parts. Kinda hard to hold the QC itself against them using that. Except, maybe the part itself failing depending on the situation.
Possible, but like 20 bolts breaking in a row isn't a great sign.
@@FocusTripp That's fair

Interesting that you placed POF so high...My first AR was a Renegade+. It's my least used rifle. Has a sweet ambi lower but just don't really care about it for some reason. Doesn't seem as accurate as the uppers I have with Geissele or BCM barrels or even the Rosco Purebred 13.7". The gas system on the POF is pretty cool idea if you're a suppressed shooter. I figured they were more 'B' or 'C' tier.
Not sure I'd put Geissele in 'S' tier or Larue. I'm not sure anyone belongs there. I'd love to try a LaRue, supposedly they're suuuper accurate, but I don't know anyone with one or who has shot one.
Thanks for the vid!
Thanks for watching! if you ever need someone to test out that POF just let me know!
Same..just never get excited for a POF. Solid guns but it’s just something funky about them.🤷♂️
Pof-USA makes some of the best rifles on the market, with every aspect of their rifles having some upgrade done to it. Many of those upgrades are copied by other companies in the industry, they have won numerous industry awards for their D.I rifles and their piston driven rifles. If you honestly think BCM, or Rosco is in the same class as POF-USA I don't know how to help you. The Renegade plus is one of the best factory made rifles on the market.
@@justanotherinternetexpert7743 Perhaps it's because POF today, just isn't the same with the loss of Frank DeSomma. Marketing seems lacking, the competition is fierce and saturated, I haven't seen a whole lot of innovation as of late from them (maybe marketing?).
I may try again but It didn't seem to be as accurate a rifle as the FocusShootingLLC 13.7 upper I purchased at 100 yards, maybe that was me though. Maybe I just need another trigger.
Sending it to Jonathan sounds interesting since it's a safe queen.
@ReticentIndignation ok I will admit I am a pretty big fan of POF-USA, ....BUT I have not bought a rifle from them since before Frank Past away, I own Four of their AR Type rifles/pistols: 16" P308 EDGE(piston driven)in .308/7.62×51
12.5" Revolution (piston driven)in .308/7.62
10.5" P415 EDGE(piston driven)in 5.56
10.5" RenegadePlus(D.I.) in .300blk
Three of them were bought while Frank was alive and running the show, and the Revolution was actually in the mail being shipped to my local FFL when the news hit that Frank had passed away, so I have nothing look at to see if their quality control has gone down after he left, I don't think it has. Because it was always a family run business and the rest of the family is still there, I believe. All that being said, the Phoenix 9mm PCC h should have been delayed blowback or gas run somehow, and they should have started with 45acp or 10mm even. And that Peice of crap lever gun they put out never should have seen the light of day. Hahaha! ......BUT that does not mean their AR pattern guns, piston and D.I. are bad guns.
Aero is C, but they’ve probably sold more civilian rifles than everyone else put together by now…I’d love to see a total lowers sold comparison.
I don't think they outsell PSA.
@@FocusTripp like I said. I’d love to see total numbers
I would guess Smith and Wesson with the mp series
So I'll argue that Colt should be up in A or S tier. At least for my state just from the stand point of 1 you'll always get a MPI bolt head out of the box since those are always pulled off the military assembly line same with their Uppers those are M4 marked meaning real M4 contract uppers built to Technical data package spec. And 2 Colt is one of the few companies that make a "non" heavy heavy barrel with their Socom heavy profile which in my state all AR's must have a heavy profile barrel and marketed as having a HBar which the Socom Heavy is a government profile barrel with a bit more meat near the barrel nut under the handguard. Add those up and that it comes from an actual company and Colt for me in my state is and A-S tier manufacturer unless you build one yourself using Gucci parts and get a heavy barrel put in it.
Old Colt yes, current Colt belongs C tier.
Which state is this?
@@KevinWood44 Maryland
@@theduck17 See I don't think so, I got my M4 carbined marked CR6920 before CZ bought into Colt and comparing the fit and finish to the FN MD HBar it was leaps and bounds better. The fitment of the upper and lower was tight like no wiggle or slop unlike the FN which no joke you could if you twisted the upper and lower you could have fit a dime in the gap between the receiver sections. The finish on the FN also rubbed away very easily just from handling and storage maybe that's because of the Samson rail just being shit but the Colt was nicer. AndI agree old Colt is way nicer I also have a 1986 preban and running the charging handle and bolt feels like it's on glass because it's so smooth.
I wish Colt was better.
Wilson combat?
I didn’t watch the entire video. But why do you have Geissele in S-tier, but LMT, LWRC in A-tier? And HK in C-tier? Because they’re expensive or hard to get?
These are getting obscure but are all make good rifles. Yes, some aren’t DI AR15s readily available in the US, but if you’re going to include HK and PWS, you might as well include them: Caracal, Haenel, Schmeisser, Sako, B&T, Barrett, and soon Beretta.
Also PRI, Sionics, Hodge, and (Canadian) Colt.
Hk rifles for their military contracts might be higher on the list but their civilian rifles cut corners. There's no reason to sell a rifle for those prices with an untreated carbon steel barrel.
Wild to see how many people have issues with aero stuff. I have thousands of rounds thru my all aero build. Hasnt had a hiccup.
That's the thing about QC, 8 out of 10 peoples stuff could be great and the other 2 could be complete garbage
"Not a fan of Aero's hand guard" well that's the thing that I like most about them LOL, now I feel inadequate.
They aren't great. The rail itself is fineish in terms of strength and rigidity, but the wedge locks are made out of paper mache. I have had to cut through customers builds after they lock them up and strip them out. Their new Mod 4 rails should be much better in all regards.
@@FocusTripp Ah, I kinda like their wedgelock system, I find it kind of innovative in terms of getting a good lock with minimal hardware. I also like the feel of their slim version. Their new rails are significantly heavier. I've removed them and reinstalled them dozens of times without issues but I guess the mechanically disinclined may have trouble.
from how bad my banshee has been reliability wise. c or d.

Yep, mine was the most unreliable gun I’ve ever owned.
BCM is the all around best to me. Excellent quality and assembly, nothing proprietary, and complete rifles can be had for $12-1300 (buy uppers and lowers seperate).
IWI should be B for sure, especially if S&W is.

DANIEL DEFENSE B TIER WAAAAAT HATING THE RIS II WAAAT THE FOOK ITS PERFECT
Ris is a mediocre rail. Furniture is mediocre, everything else is fine.
I have a bcm recce 16 kmr-a and a ddm4v7 lw and the DD is gassed noticbly better than the 7 DD barrel quality is noticeably better and more accurate. Both are boring reliable, yes. I prefer BCM fit and finish/qc over the DD though. I shoot almost daily 150-350 yards in my backyard, so I'm talking with certainty from my experience with my rifles.
Seems there should be a tier between A and S
The tier list system isn't perfect.
