Thankyou both for this conversation. My maternal aunt found this "religion" as a young newly married woman. She, my uncle and all of my cousins are still part of it to this day! Thankfully my aunt is a very sweet, kind person and still regularly phones my Mum, but they do keep very much to themselves...it's a "cagey" cult!

This cult is very good at disguising themselves. They pretend to be something to the world, that they are not. I'm so glad that you are able to keep in contact with your aunt.
I'm of Macedonian background & my uncle got convinced to join the cult of jehovah by fellow Macedonians, the whole family wife, and +2 kids have now been in the cult for 20 years. They are completely indoctrinated & frown upon my family for being of the Orthodox faith & have tried over the years to convince my parents to convert. The biggest thing I've noticed is how segregated they have become from us, we use to see them sometimes when they'd visit my unwell mum, I use to feel that somehow they were disingenuous & since mum passed 8 years soon only seen them twice. It has definitely separated families.
Thank you for sharing your experience. It’s so heartbreaking the division and break up of families this cult and others have caused. All by design to as by isolating people they know it is easier to manipulate them
Thank you for sharing Tania. Its interesting as God has been revealing to me recently also how shame based our culture is. Instead of leading through love, families interact through projecting shame and guilt to get a response. So sad how much brokenness there is. May Jesus bring miracles of healing as we begin to see where the enemy has taken us captive
@@gabbichoong5076 It's the same modus operandi that narcissists use to control partners. Or indeed some parents do with their children. I think it is quite a toxic culture here actually, in some ways.
Spiritual abuse is the most evil. To think all the children that have been hurt so deeply with these lies that they turn their back on God. Heartbreaking. It really is a struggle that every survivor works through to differing degrees. I pray Jesus reaches all these hearts and brings the incredible healing that our creator has for us
I know so many exJWs who hate religion. They've been spiritually abused and manipulated by a fake god. I tread lightly with them, because they hurt in their soul. I share with them 1) Religion is man-made. Religion is what killed Jesus. 2) It's faith that you need 3) Jehovah is fake . I can't talk scripture with them, because most know the JW bible in and out, and it's so twisted. It's baby steps, building up the trust.
Hi Gabbi my aunt tried to brainwash me because my parents did not convert. We were not close with her family. Her daughters left the cult, both had bad relationships, one daughter had children out of wedlock, moved to UK. I'm not close to my aunt and her family, have removed them from my life. Best thing. My aunty converted because her third child is disabled and to deal with her pain she converted after they knocked on her door.

And may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love, 18 be fully capable of comprehending with all the saints (God’s people) the width and length and height and depth of His love [fully experiencing that amazing, endless love]; 19 and [that you may come] to know [practically, through personal experience] the love of Christ which far surpasses [mere] knowledge, with personal experience, that you may be filled up [throughout your being] to all the fullness of God [so that you may have the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely filled and flooded with God Himself].
Its so sad weve been so misled to not know this. The lies will be shown and destroyed and the truth will last, the real truth. And that Jesus was without any bad at all, hence like a lamb. An angry God he doesnt want to be

It really is so heartbreaking. I pray truth and exposure brings healing to individuals and our communities. This evil should never have happened and sadly its been hidden right in front of us
At this point I feel no matter what Hell we face on earth I will continue to choose truth, righteousness, the hope of Salvation which is what Yeshua means and the real good God that isnt fake love mised to possess & devour like satan does. Im sad about the deception and betrayal so many of us have gone through. But I am more hopeful and look forward to the greater works some will do and miracles we will see unfold in faith. For myself I still feel much beset but know I have the power to choose. So many religions and cults fail at offering that, choice. Ironically especially satans kingdom though thats their motto to do what they will, theyre all literally biund by oaths as have so many survivors been knowingly or not. I really see how we have to get our robes cleaned

Made me cry hearing how Sally asked and saw the differenve between the manipulate 'god' & the real one where we are his children

Religion is man creating God in his own image. Spirituality is the experiential knowledge that God is Love, and Love is All.

It is heartbreaking. This is why I speak out - to expose them and build awareness.
