- Last week I happened to see Airwolf on TV and nostalgia hit. People who grew up in the 80's remember this TV series with a superhero helicopter. Always being obsessed with everything that flies, I was a huge fan.
Just for fun I started 3D modelling the helicopter. Next I wondered "wouldn't it be fun to see this in AR?", and from there I just couldn't stop.
Since I don't own the rights to Airwolf I won't be releasing this, but if anybody knows who owns the rights so I could ask permission, let me know!
THIS NEEDS TO BE MADE AND RELEASED INTO A FULL BLOWN GAME!!! ITS AWESOME. I LOVED AIRWOLF BACK IN THE 80S
This is amazing! What a good idea. Make it. Start with side loading.
Just don't call it Airwolf, call it copter attack. Only us older guys know what Airwolf was anyway, everyone knows what a "copter" is and you would get more tracktion. Release it and make others smile! Great work BTW!
I think you can call it by the real name Bell 222. I don't think it's protected.
This is one of the better ideas ive seen for a VR title. I think you should team up with a mainstream development house to release this.
I need this right now! Doesn't have to be Airwolf (although it would be verry cool) it can be any helicopter. An Appache would rock.

LOVE it!!! As a lover of nostalgic TV and RC helicopters, this hits it right on the head for me!!
I'd pay GOOD money for a mixed reality RC simulator. Even if it didn't have mixed reality i think it still would be amazing. That's one of the genre's that no one has tapped into yet!

@@tony85770 cheers mate for the reply. I've had that app since it came out and it's beyond amazing! Especially for free! Really hoping it gets popular in vr and they do a full game. I've impressed so many non VR people with that app alone. It's phenomenal.

This is "Choplifter" from the eighties! Love it! Scrap the IP and release it.
God, the rolls and rolls of quarters I pumped into the Choplifter machine in the Sub shop near my High School back in the day.
I need this in my life and willing to pay you for it. Just don't mention Airwolf and Bell and call it a RC control vr game. It will sell tons of copies. ❤

I mean, even though there are so many flight sims out there, it doesn't mean that new ones wont be released.

80's TV show, how about "Dukes of Hazard", "Starsky and Hutch", "Adam 12", "Emergency One" and there are many TV SiFi show vehicles/spaceships too

If you don't call it Airwolf, doi not display any airwolf logo or name, or if you distributed it for free, there would be NO violation of any copyright or brand exploitation, though.
Airwolf was right up there with fall guy and the dukes of hazard. I’m new to be at “53yrs” but is this a program you created or is this an available for sale? Pure awesomeness 👍🏼
SO GOOD! It brought me immense joy just to see what you were able to do so far! I think you *can* release it. You just can’t make money off of it. Of course, that’s a good reason to not release it, at least until you *can* make money off of it. How did you make it?
It was made using Unity3D, the game engine used in 90% of Quest apps.

Wow, very impressive. I loved Airwolf as kid. If there are license questions regarding the name, couldn't you just call it "Wolf of the Air" to release a public beta? Everyone old enough identifies your model even without the name visible. A real great job you made, just share it and earn some bucks 😃 I would purchase it

It's probably in hitatus & without someone in the know working for you, there is no way to get a foot in the door, never mind strike a deal.
It'd be smarter to make a "legally distinct Jethelicopter" game & leave a "anonymus mod addition" or paid DLC route once you have a product with some revenue on a store than just a prototype.
People will buy this anyway, the idea is nice & much less annoying than kid playing & crashing a minidrone on the firt afternoon.

It's all done using free software: Unity3D and Blender, but does require programming and 3D modelling skills.
Can't you go outside see how high the helicopter can fly? (Obviously if it isn't sunny).
This is great, could you do a tutorial on how to make something like this? Do you need a Mac computer to upload it or can you use windows

This concept would be awesome for a RC Heli sim as well ,I use Heli and plane sims on iPad and tv but this is definitely next level.

Well if you modeled the heli as you mentioned you do own the rights just not the name or brand so dont call it a airwolf mabey make a sligjt change so it is not 100% a replica and you are good to go

Awesome, I love it. Contact the Meta games division, show it to them and they will surely take it off your hands for a lot of money. The permission?......they will take care of it.

I like Airwolf, but I would buy this game if it were another helicopter model too. This would save me so much problems with the wife and cats related to my flying my mini copters in the house. :)

I think I remember a glimpse of this movie/tv series where the helicopter was flying through a valley I think it was in the desert.
