This is the cool shower I used in this episode. Check it out! www.geysersystems.com/ref/thestorytillnow/
Loved watching this, Shaun good leaders always do what you do and try to understand what and how they can do better (thats where real growth comes from)
Teddy has that never quit attitude and Braun is just the man, he’s that guy you want and need when you go into battle. Well done gents!
EVERYONES MOOD CHANGED AFTER THE OWNER OF THE WHITE JEEP LEFT THE VEHICLE IN THE PREVIOUS VIDEO
DAMM TEDDY SHOULD OF LISTENED TO THE SPOTTER
All the mosquitoes n that grass.
This is more like a movie than a RUclips video.
That's always been my goal. 👍 I feel like I got pretty close this time.
This is better than most movies
Definitely better than most movies👆🏽🫡
This should be on Netflix. It’s that good.
Even the music 👌👌
Ser Braun of the Blackwater deserves MVP for this trip. Mechanic skills while on a trip like that is indispensable.
yep - in the event of a Zombie Apocalypse, I'm following him, Braun has FARM/DAD strength.
Right?! He doesn't know whether to be pissed or just say fuck it and enjoy himself out of delusion.
He did not have fun
Trip of a lifetime. We knew it going in that it would be, and you captured it perfectly. For me, Mack on three, Incabins and Get In Your Truck will be remembered forever! lol and remember folks, ALWAYS listen to your spotter 😉
You did ok, Grasshopper.
Love you teddy
Spotters are your eyes, they have a different perspective of what's going on. Somewhere north of Montreal, there are some great beginner's trail, where experience drivers take the new people for a taste of offroading. Spotters are your guardian angels... Pride will get your hurt, or break your ride. But spotters will save you... that is if you listen to them :)
*Wonders outloud* Is Teddy ever going to recover from the Mack Trail trip, and record new "offroad /wheeling/overlanding" Content specially in the new Gladiator, with the shaggin wagon in tow..
@@KrazyMitchAdventures yes. I already want to go back and do it again in the new truck. As soon as funds allow ill do it again and make the video I know I can make of thst trail.
Braun's beard came with a pre-installed cigarette 😜
I dont understand how you dont have 500k subscribers at this point. Your videos are incredible and this was one of my favorite series to watch
Thanks!
Braun is the freaking man! Love seeing that old 4runner making the trails look easy with the new Jeeps.
The editing of this series is fenomenal. It really brings out how difficult this was to accomplish. One can feel how tense it got at times, without taking anything away from the beauty of the place. My respect to all of you.
Looks like the real test of friendship which I hope survived and thrives. Thanks for brining us along!
These guys are my brothers for life. No matter what the challenges along the road.
4x4life!
Thanks so much for doing the Mac! Been on my bucket list for years. I should go now, since the trail is nicely cleared. That’s a big job!. You guys rock!
This has to be the best overland adventure video I’ve seen. Good job guys!
Kudos to you guys, that whole trip was no joke man. wow. 🔥🔥🔥
Sorry, y’all are great an all…but Braun is coming with me in the event of an apocalypse.
Great trip, congratulations on completing it. Good thoughts on your part about being a trail leader. It's tough to assess the skill level of people, they tend to overstate their real experience levels. In my younger years, I used to do some informal guiding but quit doing it except with friends after some close calls putting the group at risk. Keep up the great work. It's very cool following along without having to fight the bugs and manhandle the chainsaw. And tell teddy to get a real topper with sides. It works well keeping all your gear in the truck. :-) Looking forward to the next adventure. Very curious about how the Volvo does on the trail.
I'm ]oud of you guys for sticking it out! Keep it up fellas!!!
I’m pretty sure the devil is scared of Braun 😂that man has no fear!
Just curious, did you have to pay Braun extra for the cigarette hanging out of his mouth whenever he’s chain-sawing?!? :-)
We need to appreciate the fact that Braun replaced a rear wheel bearing on the trail. These are usually removed with a press. An alternative is to slam the axle onto a hard surface to force the bearing out and they probably had to do that here. Not a fun trail repair. Great video Shaun!
Lol and a torch to open the bolts.
many people don't know this but B.C. actually stands for bring a chainsaw.
😂 love it
So true!
Braun is a beast! Awesome to see his 4runner keep up an out wheel the latest modern offroad vehicles. Even with the hiccups. Braun u the man brudda!
Awesome series!! Braun is awesome. Estimate how many trees you guys cut?
It’s a blur. Easily triple digits though.
Massive RESPECT for you three for what you made happen. Massive RESPECT, for ALL 3 ALWAYS from here on out...I'm not going to be like others and say one person's contribution out played another's because that's not what I saw. I saw an amazing TEAM effort. It takes at least three legs for a table to stand and all three legs of your table were strong and you all get to sit and drink wine on that mesa. A hell of a great 3 part vid in which I very much enjoyed. Excellent job guys! much props! : "Everything you've ever wanted is one step outside your comfort zone".
Thank you 🙏
The cameras never do a trail justice... how rough or steep. And definately not that crazy off camber angle. It looked Tippy on the video, so we (wife and i) could just imagine how off camber it REALLY was.
Any chance we get Braun with a cigarette and chainsaw stickers?
I’ll see what I can do.
congrats on completing this trail. Great work.
What an epic adventure! Memories made for a lifetime.
You and your buddies do such inspirational adventures! If my Toyota T100 4x4 didn’t have 402,000+ miles on it, I would love to drive up from the US to join you guys.
Brand new Gladiator *YAWN*
Another brand new Gladiator *YAWN*
Old beat up 4runner *YEE YEEEEE*
All are nice rigs but that ol'trusty Toyota is sweet.
I'm unsubscribing from Netflix. This is all I need. Amazing content man! Greetings from Argentina
There is no bitching on the trail. You drive, clear trails, eat, sleep, etc. - but no complaining. Just be thankful you're not stuck behind a desk all day.
8:59 Tsacha Lake or CAE4 airport, I landed an RAF 2000 Gyro there to refuel. What a beautiful place.
16:11 It hasn't changed much in 30 years.
Very cool!
What a great adventure. Seems like one of the best channels left.
Would a stock sasquatch Bronco make this trip? With a winch? Any recommendations?
You guys did some solid work getting that trail passable! Nice!
Does Braun roll his own regular tobacco or is he tuned up all the time?
😉
Cons of 4runners....not easy to change rear wheel bearing....my u es shop used a press and a torch......it was bad 🤣🤣
@TheStoryTilNow, Shaun once in a lifetime adventure, absolutely amazing 3part series of your camping overlanding adventure, spectacular views and trails where our explorers had traveled and endured harsh trails and weather conditions back in a day, truly thankful for all your time and effort to bring us your videos, glad all of you guys made it home safely, that was some of the badazz trails ever, I enjoy watching your channel Awesomeness and keep doing what your doing brahda, see you on the next one 👍 stay safe and safe travels brahda 👍 🤙✌ 👊
All that just to get away from Casey?
Yeah I hope there's no hard feelings about the sideways hill traverse. From our perspective it all looked fine, Teddy's concerns made sense, definitely understandable- it was a tense situation, mosquitos were biting, people were tired. I think the most important thing aside from preserving life and vehicles is that nobody feels bad about speaking up in a time like that, if you're really at risk no one will appreciate that more than yourself. Going on adventures is accepting risk but you have to do what makes sense for you and make sure you get yourself home safe, even if others don't see it quite that way at the time.
There was never any tension between us, just a tense situation.
Every group needs a Braun to push things, ideally in a 2nd gen 4runner or XJ; and a Teddy to keep everyone grounded.
"It was really funny, but not for him". Now that's a true friend. :--)
Regarding Teddy’s recovery, 25 degree slope is about the same as many black diamond ski runs… 😱
I have jumped a Jeep on the trail with speaker wire before. Improvisation is key in the mountains.
Braun is friggin G.O.A.T. 🐐
Congratulations on completing the trail! It's crazy to think you guys actually accomplished such a technical feat. The beginning of this video is a good reminder to all of us who overland and explore roads all over the world to make sure that we are keeping each other in check and safe during trips like those. These videos and previous ones inspired me and some friends a year ago to start exploring logging roads in Montana and it has been absolutely amazing. You guys also have lots of helpful tips throughout your videos which is a huge blessing. Thank you for all of your knowledge sharing and for taking us on this adventure with you.
Those rear bearings suck to change in a garage. Mad props to them for changing them on the trail!!!
There's no Matts Offroad Recovery in Canada! Hahaha!
the fact that you are finding carcasses of trucks that have been by the side of the trail for possibly 40-50 years is nuts. That's history right there too
It takes a real level headed person/group of guys to really go off road. I like the trials and tribulations. Nothing is easy really going off the grid. Great job guys
Glad you guys finished it. I want to hit the Mackenzie badly, but I doubt that it will ever happen. I'll have to be content to experience it vicariously through guys like you all and XO.
when he said "its like an inch deep" I was fully waiting for a" that's what she said"
Fantastic series .... Didn't want it to end ... I would love to do something like this but too old ... All the music was great ... Please continue to keep the content at this high level ... Going to buy a t-shirt 👕 to help support ... How many gallons of fuel did it take to complete the trip? 150 liters is 40 gallons. Thanks
Not totally sure on the fuel I lost track. I think I’m the end it was around 150 litres.
Love the guy with the smokes. He's my guy. I don't smoke...
Shaun I am confused about that off camber section (late in previous video) as I don't remember that back in 1980 (dating myself here) and have not seen that on all the other videos posted by you previous and others. Did you take a slightly different route?
The route we took is the original trail. Most people bypass this section on the newer dirt road.
Any video with Braun is a fucking wicked video
Amazing video. Top quality stuff for sure. I, too am looking at the Geyser shower vs Joolca to see which is actually the better deal. What is your opinion of either one?
The geyser is the best shower I’ve ever had.
The correct adjective doesn’t exist to describe this! As close to a Lewis &Clark experience as could happen in present day. My two best trail buddies have agreed our Alpha personalities would have resulted in a grave marker out there! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks!
Love your video styles man! I wish I could get into videography like this. Good work and I love the movies you produce
Epic!
Great filming and editing. I felt it with you guys… as much as possible from my comfy chair. At one point I wanted to put on bug spray.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Props to you guys for slogging through this! Very impressive and good teamwork!
Those chainsaws earned a 12 pack and a good steak on this trip.
Shaun, you have to invest in a portable jump box for emergencies. I have one that cost me 80 bucks, it has 1500 CCA and fits in my glove compartment. A must need, got it off amazon.
I have one, and jumper cables too, it was just an oversight when packing unfortunately.
Braun always got a joint glued to his lip 😂 my man. Wish I lived in Canada 🤙
That was a great series of videos, you did a great job with the cinematography. I would love to make a trip like that with the exception of the 25 degree shelf road.
The most impressive part is that Braun swapped a rear Toyota wheel barring on the trail it took me a torch and a press to get mine out in a shop
" I do mind the diying part. especially after 3 people died in Colorado last week going over a 300" enbankment.
Four, Mount Blanca also had a rollover death. That didn’t make the news tho.
Wait so you weren't actually able to complete the last 30km of the trail down to the ocean? Why exactly?
The drivable part of the trail doesn't end anywhere near the ocean. The ocean is a couple hours drive away on a highway. That part of the trail that Alexander Mackenzie took is hiking only. All we did was travel on the south side of the lake instead of the north side, and ended at roughly the same place, to avoid going through the native village and angering them.
Outstanding trip video. You didn't try to sale me any type of gear along the way and just let me emerge myself into your trip. I just put my feet up and enjoyed it very much. Thanks for posting the videos. Hope to see you on the road someday.
please no more chainsaw noises! Trying to fall asleep to this for gods sake. thank you
I hope others that may follow your route appreciates all the hard work the three of you put in to make it safer for them.
The team killed it and got through. The video series was outstanding !! Love the channel 🙏
Thank you!
I was just thinking about it. How come you don't use the Bronco anymore?
We've been waiting on parts for it. It's finally getting a bunch of upgrades next month and then it will be back.
Amazing journey! It looks almost like work than fun though.
Looks like one hell of an adventure. Thanks for showing us!
Great series. I love Brawn. I am glad for you guys that he has a Yota...on a JK, JL, or JT, you'd be opening up the diff and yanking out a lot more to change that wheel bearing.
Congratulations on finishing that trail. Not going to lie, on the last video I thought that was it for yall.
These just keep getting better! Keep ‘em coming!
A sherp would make that trail with ease. And just drive over those fallin trees.
Got one I can borrow?
What an awesome trip, I enjoyed this trip. Fantastic 💕
Glad you enjoyed it
This channel is very underrated. I had a great time watching these videos. I hope to one day be able to do this kind thing with my friends. Keep up the great work.
What a great series Shaun. Must be a great sensation of having completed the Mack. Keep it up !!
guy in red toyota is beast. he just sends it!
I ran a bad wheel bearing on the left rear of my Toyota for months. Thought it was tire noise. Then I changed tires. It wasn’t easy replacing that bearing, even in a shop. It was missing a few ball bearings, don’t know where they went 😅. Weren’t in the diff as far as I could tell. That guy Braun is a talented man to fix that in the woods.
He was missing some too 😂
@@TheStoryTillNow it’s amazing how far I got like that. I drove 3500 miles round trip to the Rockies on that bearing, and replaced it later that fall. I’m so glad it didn’t fail on the road, that would have really messed up the family trip!
Toyota: letting owners down since 199Never.
Guys all that water right there. Get an MSR Guardian purifier. Could have refilled all of your water. That and a Noco lithium jump box. You guys have everything and way more knowledge than I'll ever have but come on.....purifier and jump box guys!!
what gear did you use for the night time star lapse and how did you mount? thx
Just my camera on a tripod and Timelapse setting.
EVER SINCE TEDDY DIDN’T LISTEN TO THE SPOTTER IN THE PREVIOUS VIDEO THE VIDEOS GOT INTENSE 😅
😂😂🤦
Way to go guys. Such an epic adventure. Definitely putting this on my list of must do trips for the future. It's far enough away that I think it's going to have to stay on that list until I retire but it's definitely on the list now.
That looks like it took a lot of work to put together. Well done on the editing and the shots, really good
Thanks a ton!
Chrysler should be paying you THOUSANDS for the advertising of JEEP
Braun is an OG for changing that bearing out in the boonies like that. Hell yeah. What a journey guys.
This had me at the edge of my seat. I have watched some of your trips but this one took the cake for me. SKETCHY isn’t the word for it…downright deadly. Glad you all made it out alive. ❤️🤗🙏
Not unhappy I haven’t done this🤣 it’s too much mud and skeg for my liking. Congrats on knocking it off the bucket list! Let’s plan the canol in a couple years. I’ll be able to take time then. That’ll be a major one too👍🏼👍🏼
Well said, safety first 💯👍It's nice to be adventurous but using common sense is wise💯👍 Great footage however 💯👍🤗
Hi Guys - Good video and some concerning angles - It is amazing how far you can go on a side angle - 25 degrees won't tip you over and it always feels worse than it actually is?
I do a lot of 4x4 driving in Australia and looking at some of your water crossings, the first thing anyone in Aussie does to a vehicle is to install a snorkel. That way you will not ingest any water from your air filter and hydraulically lock your engine - which normally means bent piston rods and valves - Have a look at "Safari Snorkels" They are not expensive and very easy to install. Good luck and once again some beautiful scenery - Cheers Guy
This is by far the coolest series you've done, and one of the best in the business! Big respect!
Bald Ridge Grappler tires not recommended!
Just ridge grapplers in general lol the back is what slid, those tires were new.
Incredible, man.
My wife and I watched all three of these episodes. Such great videography over a beautiful landscape.
The Toughest overland route in Canada is not that one it is driving east from Inuvik to the shores or Hudson Bay. No roads no trees no markers no stores no cell signal. lots of danger from mosquitoes to grizzly to polar bears and so on You are truly on your own and
Awesome video, I'd love to do something like this in Canada with my side by side. Great video and editing. If you don't mind me asking, what camera do you use? And what drone do you use? TIA
Sick trail, but how did you get on x off-road app in Canada? App Store isn’t letting me download.
