I had my right knee replaced and I'm still in recovery mode. With no where to go and nothing do, this video was a perfect way to enjoy two hours of my time. Thank you!
Brad, I cannot thank you enough! I have watched the entire video twice so far. The wildlife, the scenery, the adventure it’s inspiring, and I hope to make that trip someday myself.
I drove from Seattle to Alaska and back (7700 miles) last summer (2023) and it was the most epic vacation I have ever taken. It will be with you forever.
That was the best video you have ever done, and I have enjoyed all of them since i started watching your channel in 2018. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Awesome Movie as always Brad. Thanks for putting your whole Expedition into a movie. It would be so awesome if Shaun could put his videos together from y’all’s expedition. Thanks for letting us ride along with y’all on y’all’s adventures.
Brad this one been one of the best videos Ave watched, been glue to my phone till the end of adventure, just know you didn't take the adventure alone and surely it was worth it
Absolutely loved this movie. Well done. When I saw it was just over 2 hours long I decided to wait until I got home and watched it on the big screen with my wife. She generally doesn't watch this genre of RUclips personalities, but she also highly enjoyed this film from beginning to end. She may now even agree to take the same trip with me sometime in the future. Thank you! 😃
Thank you for the glimpse into your adventure. Last June, I took a trip to Crown King, Az, and spent some quality time with my 18 yo son. Two yrs ago this month, we lost my wife from a long illness and she loved to go on vacations. The last vacation I told her to surprise me and just navigate to where we were going, she took us to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It was a long drive from Fort Worth, Texas, but totally worth it. She was an angel among us and left a lasting impression on anyone she met. Your videos and narrations do the same for a lot of people. Thank you so much for that. You are the main reason I bought a 4x4 tundra and am building it out into a camp truck so I can take 2, 3, or 4 vacations a year and just go camping and see some amazing places. Love your work, thank you.
What an amazing adventure the two of you had! The joy on both your faces was so great to see! You’ve rekindled my eagerness to do a trip like this soon as well! Thanks for all the hard work during your shooting and editing - such a great watch!
Man, let me tell you. It felt like I was right there with you. The sights and scenery were impeccable! I could only imagine the fresh air. You're from San diego and I'm from fallbrook. I've been following you since 2019. It's amazing seeing this grow! Keep it coming!
Know what I’m really late on this video but I have a whole new respect for you and the trail recon team about recognizing the need to catch and release protocols
I have been following you for a good while. This has to be the best trip. Its so good, that i will do it also. Its a WOW trip. Great scenery, shots and more.
Im glad you finally saw the big horn sheep. If you ever find the need again, go to Boulder City NV, they are usually hanging out in the city park by the dozens.
Wowww what amazing journey guys, I watch the whole video and it's beautiful. thanks to share with us such amazing journey, I'll be tuned for the next adventure. Take care guys
I'm so glad you spent the time to edit & create this video documentary ! I watched your earlier short videos but was left wondered " there must be more " - sure enough here it is. Great job !! I'm waiting for a friend in for a hospital procedure & have another 60 minutes of your video yet to watch. Bet I'll watch a 2nd time at home with my wife & enjoy on larger screen. Be well & thanks !
Hey @trailrecon, I live very close to where you camped at the start of this video. It has a name, and I won’t spoil it for sake of keeping it hidden. But it also has a reputation… let’s just say you were very lucky that you had no incidents while staying there. It’s notoriously an area where people go to partake in *interesting* activity including theft. Glad you made out safely. Judging by the hillsides, you were there around mid may. Great video!
Hey Brad I wanted to thank you for recommending shift auto really nice group of people there. I have a manual gladiator that as you may know has a recall on the transmission but as always parts not available at dealers. I purchased a centerforce kit but was having trouble locating a reputable shop in my area until I saw your Alaska prep video. Guys at Shiftauto got me squared away and even though it’s roughly 12hr drive definitely worth it. Thank you again
Watched...the...whole...thing. I've seen the shorter versions that you have put up, but this was really great to get a feel for the trip. I've got about 7 years left until I can retire. I'm hoping that my first big trip will be up there.
Thank you for your video. It's amazing with this wonderful views and roads. I apologize because my English is not so good to tell what I feel. I'm from Brasil but I understand every word you say. Your English is very nice for a student of English. God bless you.
Question: can you compare features, comfort, ease of set up between your RTT/trailer set up and Shawn’s Four Wheel camper? Miss your Four Wheel Camper for this type of trip?
Back in the day, we off-roaded out of necessity going fishing or hunting. THIS is what I would like to get out and do. Fire roads or a little mud is fine, but I don't want to try to tear my stuff up as it would still be my dd.
@trailrecon as someone else asked.. It would be great to hear about the difference between the trailer setup and the truck camper. I am looking at those options to do similar trips as you guys just did. Thanks!
I just did vancouver, up the Stewart cassair hwy, then the dempsters hwy to Tuk, over to daweson city, then the Top of the World hwy or to Tok Alaska into Denali National Park. Then back to Liard hot springs, Muncho park down to fort saint John and back to Vancouver. Epic......everyone should see dempters hwy
You've ruined RUclips for me. Your videos have such great quality, that when I watch other videos, I'm often disappointed because Brad didn't make them 😂 Keep up the great work and awesome adventures!
This is definitely an epic trip! I did this from Toronto to Tuktoyaktuk in my 4Runner with a roof top tent, a DIY drawer set up, 12V fridge and EcoFlow 2kWh power station … departed Aug 19th at 4pm, back home Sep 1st at 10:30am. I loved this trip, and plan to at least go to the Yukon / NWT territory as a destination again with Alaska as the destination next time (in 2yrs?). I just calculated my travel, and it took me 7 days and 7 hours to get to the Arctic Ocean, and 5 days 18.5 hrs to get back. So my round trip was 12 days and 18.5 hrs, and a total of 14,600 kms (9,125 miles) and avg 14.5 L / 100 kms in fuel (16.2 mpg). Wasps eating bugs off the front was a big issue at fuel stops (kept windows closed). Fuel was pricy, did an oil change the week I left and the day after I returned, rotated tires and rebalanced, and now I’m dealing with passenger side rear bearing seal leaking diff fluid. My 2022 4Runner had 20K kms when I left and now 35K kms (thankfully work from home). Everyone that can, should do at least a portion of this trip … at least to the Dawson City. Amazing drive.
I have two questions for you, and please excuse me if this has already been covered in your videos, as I am new to your site. What program is it that you run on your iPad? I love the interface. Also, where can I get the mounts you use for the iPad and phone? Thank you, and keep the awesome videos coming!
Welcome to our beautiful land 🍁 🍁 CANADA. I hope that you brought fishing rods? A square stern canoe OR A KAYAK made for fishing clipped to the roof with a small kicker motor can get you to a lot of great fishing but remember life jackets? Camping on a small island away from the mainland & the blood sucking flies cannot reach you out that far. You can literally eat for free if you do a little research. Happy trails Brad from Ontario. Love your new ride! By the way FYI. avocado can kill birds with fatty liver disease so can it do the same to people? Just saying!
I have a video on my channel of a family of bighorn sheep when I went to Colorado to spread my mom's ashes on Pikes Peak... I got roasted in the comments cus I kept saying goats 😅... Just told them this ol mid-missouri boy was just happy to finally get to see the Rockies & it won't be the last time I make a mistake...😂 Happy wheel'N up there...👋🤠👍
If only you were carrying some sort of boards that you could put down on that ditch crossing. Those boards would have prevented your buddies traction boards from dragging. 😂
I had my right knee replaced and I'm still in recovery mode. With no where to go and nothing do, this video was a perfect way to enjoy two hours of my time. Thank you!
Funny, I just had a shoulder replacement, no better way to chill relax than watching Trail Recon.
Brad, I cannot thank you enough! I have watched the entire video twice so far. The wildlife, the scenery, the adventure it’s inspiring, and I hope to make that trip someday myself.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Great videos as always- amazing seeing the full journey and the experiences along the way!

Man, what a great video.... Thanks so far!
Btw. the german truck was not a Unimog, but still a great vehicle from Mercedes Benz.
Excellent Video! I Made It To The End!

I live in Mexico and I ship their beans over because it’s owesome! And there is Mexican coffee over here! 😂
Congratulations !
fyi... canadians mostly refer to Tim Horton's as timmies. Great video!
This was a damn movie ❤️
Sounds like the “Beaver” may have been one of the highlights of your adventure.
A price breakdown of this trip would be amazing. On the outside looking in it seems like it would be too expensive to accomplish.
You've ruined RUclips for me. Your videos have such great quality, that when I watch other videos, I'm often disappointed because Brad didn't make them 😂 Keep up the great work and awesome adventures!

Great video bro, those animals are goats, big horn sheeps are different. They horns grow as a spiral form
I have a video on my channel of a family of bighorn sheep when I went to Colorado to spread my mom's ashes on Pikes Peak...
I got roasted in the comments cus I kept saying goats 😅...
Just told them this ol mid-missouri boy was just happy to finally get to see the Rockies & it won't be the last time I make a mistake...😂
Happy wheel'N up there...👋🤠👍
He brad, just curious what size rokblok mud flaps you went with? Thanks!
Mate, could you share what product are you using to hold the handheld radio? Good video mate!!
are you doing a vid on banff ?
Did you camp multiple nights in the same spots?
I've never been so happy for someone to see big horn sheep.
Very enjoyable series thanks for sharing!
Hey Brad on your Artic trip, how do you mount your Go pro on your roll bar. Did you make a bracket?
Big horn ship rather has thick curly horns.
Thinking of buying a rubicon, what do you think about the reliability
Im from bc we call it beautiful bc
Now artic circle is the place that people welcome panhandling lol
Hey brad, what hardtop headliner is that in the jeep?
Hi. I live in CA. May I ask how you got the Wavian Jerry Cans... other than leaving CA to buy them. Thx
Thanks! = 1 liter of fuel.
Sabe droppings…😮
Hey. How can enjoying your convoy group for your travel schedule guys.? Do you have website for that?? Thank you
What was that coffee pot? Electric?
I think some trail to Africa essentially kenya could be a better option.
That's sure NOT Florida!
Yes likely a bear up there in ukon thats up around polar bear area
What did you average for fuel on the drive to Canada? HYW
If only you were carrying some sort of boards that you could put down on that ditch crossing. Those boards would have prevented your buddies traction boards from dragging. 😂
Hey buddy wanted to take note of your fishing skill but guess what, you forgot to do the fishing as promised, nway enoyin this video so much.
Those are NOT the big horne sheep you find in California or Baja.
Stone sheep maybe in California…
2:04:13 January 4th??
Thank God for the $2.65 per Gallon of fuel in Texas!
If in California had so many lakes then you would not have forest fires....Probably goverment must consider to create dozens of lakes.
9mpg…brad you need to drop a v8 in that thing
Tim hortons coffee is crap now
