My hubby is from Sao Miguel. We have been there 5 times now. Everything you say is exactly correct. In fact, it's more beautiful than any video can provide. We plan on retiring there. Mean temp is 21 degrees Celsius. Can't beat THAT.
I am a local born and raised on Sao-Miguel island, very explained and organized video. But on the second day you have done the north coast of the island coming back to Ponta Delgada, it is mandatory to stop in Porto Formoso for a hot tea and to visit the tea plantation after a long day. You should also visit the pineapple plantation people. Good video congratulations
This is a great itinerary! Thank you so much for this. I will be travelling to Azores next year for the first time and this video is really helpful! I hope to see more of your content :)
Thanks Jeff, Will be travelling in June with my husband and daughter. How difficult is it to find by car these view points for Vista do Rei, Boca do Inferno and Lagou do Canario?
when was this trip if I may ask? I am thinking about going there for 4 days this mid April, but unsure about the weather and if hydrangeas are in season. thank you!
I don't think so - I'd suggest heading east along the coast for the morning arriving in furnas for lunch. For your afternoon tour the calderas in the center of the island before heading west to take in sunset. Dinner around ponta delgada. You'll miss out on activities, but will still see a lot.

No you can't! That's an amazing retirement plan - enjoy.

Thanks Sergio! I definitely regret not making it out to a plantation. I couldn't think of a better place to do my first video than your lovely home.

It would be even better video if the travel time is mentioned in the video😊
