BUT to be fair, Jake said in ALL interviews that Rahman got the better of him, he was honest and yess I bet improved since (but btw, I don’t know how much u know boxing… but this is LEVELS above, from positioning, head movement, patience, knowing where to stick it etc… let alone strength - sorry but it takes more than like 15 months to improve to this level - Jake simply needs more experience and he had been getting it which is why I am mad he pulled this stunt)

BUT I DONT BLAME JAKE FOR THAT, HE IS A ENTERTAINER WHO WANTS TO GET GOOD AT BOXING, so one by one, he gives himself a harder challenge(all of that is good on him) and finally he gave himself competition against woodley, because woodley is no “push over” though he does NOT KNOW HOW TO ESTABLISH A JAB AT ALL or properly know the craft of boxing , but he was a dog in the mma and was no push over at all - while Jake had been learning the craft of boxing only for 4 years - I took Jake in both those fights because at that point he had been dedicating 4 YEARS STRAIGHT to boxing taking it very seriously and getting much better as anyone who is doing so should! hence most of us boxing fans were surprised when “just mma”/“Jake paul sucks type of people” thought Jake was going to lose , smh - Jake looked better in the first fight too, so u could tell either 1) it was a bad night for him in the second and he still put Woodley to sleep or 2) he was actually overtly cautious of that wild “bad form” but STRONG right hook from fight #1 that had him tumbling if it were not for ropes, but Jake still would have gotten up from the 10 count easy if the ropes did not help him up, instead Jake had no 10 count to give him a second to get his legs under him after the punch, etc… hence why I was MORE IMPRESSED on how jake stood his ground after moving to the exact opposite corner right after it happened and did good on the ropes than Woodleys punch, it was far more impressive - hence jake was much better in that fight because woodley got one sloppy (but of course powerful shot on him) by a simple mistake (as he was cruising past woodley who was not throwing his hands, hence jake most likely got too comfortable and thats why it landed)
but *what* us actual boxing fans and not some goofy haters of a young kid trying to grow is the sneaky crap he did through this whole Rahman process - and people are still blind…saying cuz of ticket sales yadayadaya….Jake wanted to act as if “look… tommy pulled out again, BUT im going for an even BETTER pro” type of shenagagins, which is obvious now that was *never* the actual plan (it was a business/career move , an “almost” smart one…but unfortunately for him, he took it too far and exposed it to people with half a brain cell - and I think it was smart overall in his career but he should of just said, i want Tommy first or someone of his caliber before moving up to fight someone of Rahmas caliber then up and up etc, “so I am going to call the fight off for now” and then apologize to everyone on undercard because he tried, but ultimately it wad Tommy again …. and thus that would have been RESPECTFUL - in fact if anyone called Jake “scared” for saying that is a PUNK- that is not scared that is being realistic and this man is realllyyy trying to win over the boxing community - but NO, jake ruined what many of us started to give him credit for, and thats pull some old i guess “YT like antics and shenanigans” per se (I don’t know what he exactly did on YT on why so many dislike him, but i would assume it was stuff like this) …. because all the promoting himself antics, first i really saw of him and of course I heard of him, i thought were a bit cheesy but smart on his part and it payed off - and worst yet, what he did to rahman…. boxing is unfortunately political, it takes many many fights to start getting big fights, hence why at the start (no matter who u are) u start with cans …. so this would have been BIG for the young man because in boxing your “name” carries … hence he essentially had this planned out from the beginning, hence again Rahman was being played the whole time for jakes name and career before maybe getting a anderson silva fight or tommy for once etc….

This is how SPARRING works …the head gear helps because you are SPARRING to prepare for u an actual fight
it is mostly cuts, etc…on why head gear is essential in sparring…. and yes you are of course “less likely to get knocked out” with head gear on but you can still get legit KOd by someone who has got power and trying their hardest like a d***… 100% lol
but as the OP pointed out, in a fight fight, those were FLUSH (like others) but in soft dangerous spots….because in a fight fight, guess what? Really admire how calm Jr. stays. Dad must've installed the crucial importance of that at a young age. I know the first time I sparred my heart rate and mindset were super elevated. Had three rounds in me and was done. End of that 3rd round I felt the panic of thinking about that fourth round starting. Depending on your cardiovascuar level/issues it can feel like you're drowning and the percentages of you getting knocked out because of that skyrocket.

There are 50 athletic commissions. In New York there is a weight clause that happened here as one guy isn’t doing anything for a month. And there is a rehydration clause.
All commissions aired different and there are 50 different versions in the USA.
So for an example as the weight played apart in this fight. It did in khabib nurgamodev title fight. Paul Felder would have been the first opponent as ferguson blew his knee out on some cables.
They would t sanction the fight. As Felder didn’t have a number in front of his name I think he was ranked 21.
