    Alex is a real humble guy, look at how he doesn't edit the footage to make him look super good against the guy, he even slow motioned the guy dodging his punches, making this look quite decent on both ends. Very nice.

      Also, he was game. The other guy definitely looked like he was scared of pereiras power (don’t blame him). The kid was fluid and even though he got tagged multiple times, he didn’t disengage, keeping in mind Alex wasn’t really hitting him hard but he’s also much bigger so I know that kid felt them shots.

    As someone who's boxed for a long time, Alex's low guard style would be a nightmare for most boxing coaches lol But he's incredibly crafty, accurate, measured, and you can tell the guys really respected his power as they backed off when Alex started to let go. Quite a fighter.

      yeah he's not a particularly good boxer as you would expect but the potential is clearly there, he is a freak athlete. I believe he only started fighting in his 20's if I'm not mistaken? If that's the case, he reminds me of Deontay Wilder, someone who really just has superior genetics. If those two started fighting at a young age... oh boy.

      I'm far from anything but an amateur boxer but he looked to have a hitman like stance in the beginning of the video. I feel like the way Floyd jabs with arm already forward before the jab would work in mma well.

    what i can see from this video is that poatan is working on the EXACT sequence that he had with adesanya. Everyone talks about the power but very few people talk about how precise he is, not only with his attacks but also with his training. Dude is always trying to improve on whatever weakness he sees.

      It’s just technical, not necessarily power. He sets up his hips for leverage, then pops them like a corkscrew with his punches. That’s what gives it that insane pop.

    It looks like the first boxer was working on his defenses while letting Alex work. His slips were really good and timing as well. All rounds were great. Much respect to all of them.

    Great session... I truly enjoy sparring videos as the fighters seem more relaxed and free flowing. It's a clearer display of their skills. Alex looks good here! I'm excited for the Jan fight!

      He's a 36 yr old experienced professional fighter who, at pro boxing level, would rank as a heavyweight.
      Maybe you should stop wetting your gay panties for him, and demand he spar Canelo or Bivol. Then calmly watch what happens when you hit serious boxers that way. Unless he wants to cheat and grapple them, he will end up in a coma.
      In the meantime, go to a gym and learn to fight instead of being a cowardly snarky little bitch, when others have the courage to do it and you don't.

      lot of boxers use a squared up stance; allows for much better lateral movement, ring cutting, combination punching, etc Not everyone has a super bladed Mayweather stance.@@Hvmoudi

    This guy is a beast!. Never had I ever seen an MMA or Kickboxer be this gifted with his hands, at the level where he could had been a real threat (champion) had he started with boxing. I could seen him up there with some of today's great, only if he had dedicated 20 years to boxing alone. He has the strength (of an upper tier) agility (you can see it but it's there) powerful balance, Killer body level shots and the height to weight ratio is incredible. reminds be of a Benavidez at 168, canelo at 147 but even bigger and firmer then both at his UFC weight. Jesus, match him up with the PAUl brothers.

    Alex is one if my favorites and its still crazy to see he can get soooo much better we havent even seen the best version of him yet from a fluid/hand eye standpoint but that left hook is so beautiful the way he throws it

    Props to both fighters that stepped up. Red gloves put on a great showing . Alex really has the power to keep fighters at bay even with low guard. He'd be super scary with better head movement.

    Alex is really good at his no guard defense against shorter opponents where his reach allows him to do so. I also think I this is why Izzy’s style is so difficult for him to dominate against because they have equal range.

    Everyone seeing the short clip dont realize alex could have starched this guy at any time. The guy had to wear headgear. Good session but the long jabs and body shots really crushed him in the end.
