the way Alex lost is different to me because he lost because he got over-confident, not because he wasn't finding a way to win, and I'm not saying this to take away credit from Izzy, not at all, but I think it's different than losing by getting outclassed, just like how Izzy losing 3 times still didn't mean he was levels bellow Alex because all 3 fights were competitive, I think stuff like this matters in determining how good a fighter is, Alex's biggest problem is Grappling(unless getting finished like that changes him because of coming back too soon)
He was carving IA up like a turkey. That's what makes the KO so irritating. The grappling is only a problem if he's losing points. If his opponent is using grappling to wind the clock down, rest or to just get off their feet and give their body or head a break, but not able to sub, or even trying, it just becomes a points issue and Alex running out of time to either win by points himself or get a finish.
