- We sat down with Daniel Kaluuya to play a game of Snack Wars, where he was comparing British and American snacks.
In this episode, Daniel tried toxic waste for the very first time, told us how he normally prepares beans on toast and had a great time reading out the (hilarious) jokes on Penguin bars!

I know Steve mentioned he does fluff on PB&J but that’s seriously uncommon. Those of us who live in the US do PB and jelly takes it to another level but fluff seems way too much, this is coming from someone who has toxic waste and doesn’t flinch.
I am so used to Daniel playing tough/serious characters that I always forget what a gorgeous smile and great sense of humour that he has. He’s so likeable and SO talented!
The time I saw Daniel, he played a nerdy kid in the horror series The Fades. He was also in Skins.

Here’s a few: Palm Springs, rye lane, set it up, the broken hearts gallery, 13 going on 30, the proposal, how to lose a guy in 10 days :) romcoms are not supposed to be revolutionary film, daniel has the looks, charisma, and talent to be in one if he wants to but regardless I’ll be seated for whatever he’s in

He’s just so naturally hilarious, like he had me cracking up this whole video.
You get so used to seeing him in dramatic roles, it becomes easy to forget how hilarious and charming he is. I love this man. Absolutely one of my favorite actors today.
I saw Daniel Kaluuya for the first time in black mirror before he was famous, I thought his performance in BM was freaking award worthy. When I learned he got famous after Get out I was so happy for him, such a great talent.
Just finished rewatching that episode an hour ago. And his performance is SO good. Better than I remember.
In this new season 6, I also thought Aaron Paul’s performance in ‘Beyond The Sea’ was Oscar worthy as well. Loved him in breaking bad. He really deserves accolades

First film I’ve seen Daniel Kaluuya in was Johnny English Reborn, he played Johnny’s sidekick Tucker. So great to see his career progress since then. So great he’s doing Snack wars.

I really like these shows, BUT I wish LadBible would do properly comparable items, like if you’re doing Hershey’s Kisses, pick Galaxy Counters for UK or something. The items from each country are often nothing like each other 😅
Also, if you were to research the participants favourites, like how Daniel says he likes Jelly Babies, that would be super cool. I always think the research Sean Evans (of Hot Ones) does is like the gold standard - if people put that much effort into the research, it’d elevate the show so much.

My American ass came to the comment section to say this. For example, the sandwich round. STRONG NO to fluff and peanut butter. They should've done fried (beef or pork) baloney sandwich VS a better beans and toast sandwich.

I grew up in a fairly rural area and the shops near me usually would have Toxic Waste. They were a bit pricey though from what I remember

Posh Kenneth, he was fantastic in Skins and a smart guy he knew to produce direct and write young. Granted, the women on the show did not have a fantastic experience, but many of the cast went to great work.

That beans on toast doesn't look like it has any butter on it, I would've spread some butter, garnished it with pepper. Maybe some poached eggs on top and let it all melt. I also use a little worchesteshire sauce, got that idea from an old man down at the breakfast cafe near my apartment. Mind blowingly simple yet so delicious
I, literally, had a PB&J yesterday and rice and beans WITH garlic powder, Adobo and butter. YUM! 😋

You do need to add stuff to baked beans! I used to love adding marmite and pumpkin seeds. These days I just add brown sauce. Cheese is also amazing. Marmite, pumpkin seeds, brown sauce and cheese would probably be insanely good
