GM Jerry Krause did this intentionally because of the disrespects he got from the Chicago Bulls team. This was his way of getting back at all of them for their put downs and making fun of him. He said within himself this is revenge. I made you now I will break you apart. So long, bye bye...
You have to laugh at the back-to-front logic at work here. Shannon concedes that when working the calculus for getting rid of the coach (not to mention the best player) or getting rid of the GM - the latter always loses. So what I gathered from this is Micheal could have kept playing for another 2-3 had phil stayed in Chicago so it’s possible the bulls could have won 1-3 more rings. In addition, you can argue Kobe and Shaq would have never won a ring had if the bulls organization took care of their players and coach.
I think they would have eventually fell off after 1999. Mj wouldve gotten bored and left and so would the rest of the roster. But I still believe he would be the all time leading scorer if he didnt retire twice and won atleast one more ring.
In today's game Jordan would have gone to the owner and Kraus would be the one gone
Lol yeah maybe
God bless Lebron for that
NBA players they have a say in what they want. Also the mentality of players in the 90s they think other players from other teams (enemies) which makes it difficult to move to another team. Just stay here play for our team we own you. I’m glad players now says ( f ... that I’m out, trade me before I leave) 👍🏽 god bless Lebron
Very probable
@@ddhassan5607 that started before lebron lol. I mean Kobe pushed shaq out of the team.
Rehan Khan
I meant the owner dominant over a player. Lebron gave the finger to cavaliers owner . After that he absolutely free to do what he wants. The league follows. And that benefited players. They got more money .
Look at Jordan times . Even Jordan got hard time. Forget about Scottie pip.
Compare that to Kawhi decision, AD, KD ....
Old players hate Lebron partly cuz of this. They just wish they had such influence.
This is why MJ is and forever will be the greatest...He even beat the team he was on while he was playing for them🤯
My first time hearing this. Really surprised me
Not really accurate

Jerry “Krumbs” was his nickname😂😂
I never liked Jerry Krause. He also wanted to trade Pippen at least twice. MJ wouldn't have it. Jordan knew the value Pippen brought to him and the team.
Pippen was also underpaid.
KEMP trade would of got a ring still
@@davemusic4853 He was a great dunker and wasn't as good offensively as Pippen. Plus, he wasn't good defensively. Pippen was light years ahead of Kemp in defense. And he played the point. I disagree.
The person Krause wanted to trade Pippen for was a young upstart. The young upstart turned out to be Tracy McGrady. That would have been interesting.
So we gonna ignore the fact that Shannon just pooted?? 11:43
There's three mics. So three suspects lol

I heard that too, not looking at the video. Perfect timestamp🤣🤣
I knew Lebrons name would be mentioned lol
Totally ridiculous
Why I'm not surprised? LeBron lives in Skip's head, rent-free and tax-free.

Man what could have been, imagine if the Bulls kept on for two years after ‘98 and eventually play a young Kobe and Shaq in ‘00 finals. That would have been epic
They would’ve make the final
Oscar Plata you wish
Shaq & Kobe would have beaten them then. Best Jordan retired from the Bulls when he did.
We would have gotten the Clash of the Titans we all needed.
If Bulls win, they would have been one of the greatest teams ever. If Lakers win and kept winning, there's the passing of the torch to MJ's Apprentice Kobe.
@DeWayne Phillips Word. MJ wouldn't have quit until his body failed. That's the only other way he would have retired, as he did as a Wizard.
Let's face it Jordan is still the face of the NBA always will be but people keep trying to replace him with LeBron and it just can't happen LeBron is not on a Goat level period...
Jerry "crumbs" Krause...
Yeah, Jordan gave him that name😂
Although, your feelings about Krause may be justified. There's no denying that he did help bring one of the greatest dynasties in sports history to Chicago. Krause is not the only one at fault here. They all had egos!
Jordan is the G.O.A.T✨🙌❤🏀
5:50 And especially in these times Jordan will feel like a idiot about that, when Chuck is gone one day.. They were pals for years, and he can be at Chuck's funeral thinking about how they didn't speak for years over petty BS.. So stupid..
True what he said was a little worse. They speak but they aren't buddies
Dam
Chuck knows a lot about Jordan. A LOT. With this in mind it's not difficult to understand why Jordan cuts people loose the minute he has trust issues. I don't even think it's personal with Chuck. It might APPEAR personal. But actually it's just business.
Ummm Chuck and Jordan are Great friends. They were on Oprah clowning on each other. And Jordan will never say Chuck is Terrible bc hes not a "Champion"🤦♂️

A lot of regret comes when someone is gone, and time is completely up.. Jordan and Chuck were once like brothers. Things are said, people make mistakes. Bitterness should be put aside sometimes.. Just my take..

He was a kid at the time son
Jerry Krause cost the Bulls 5 or 6 more rings in the 2000’s because with Phil leaving to The Lakers Kobe could have been a Chicago Bull having an extended version of MJ in the near future for the organization of Phil Jackson career had they kept him & Jerry K understanding his role keeping his mouth shut. Just think about it Kobe and Shaq could have been Bulls. Then missed another shot adding Lebron, Wade, Carmelo at the tail end of Kobe’s era which could have been even more rings on top. I mean a total of 15 NBA championships through the 90’s, 2000’s, & 2010’s if not more. Bulls are the dumbest organization to let Phil Jackson go. Bulls could have been the New York Yankees of the NBA.
He is "Jewish" that's how Kraus got the job and that's why he felt above MJ and Phil......
Now that makes absolute sense
Skip was there tell all these youngsters how MJ was so Dominant i was there myself I'm 50 son. these yung in don't know nothing about MJ let me tell you how it went down when MJ was playing it didn't matter if it was on a Tuesday a Monday or any day of the week the streets where empty when the Bulls where playing

The 1998 run was MJ's most impressive title run because that team was running on fumes. They wouldn't have won it the following years. Scottie missed 38 games. Kerr missed like 32. Rodman was on his last legs.
I agree better yet I'm almost positive that if MJ misses that shot they don't win game 7. That game 6 was all the had left which wasn't much.
Facts. But Utah was older than them 🤷🏾♂️
the next year was a short season they would have won!
MJ was good at beating older teams, nothing new in sports.
@Yemi they didn't have the oldest stars Malone and Stockton were older. And Pippen just talked about this the other day saying he thought they could win another one because the only team that could make a run other than them was Utah and they were older than them. Know your history lol
Michael Jordan - Engine
Scottie - Drive Train
RodMan - Chassis
Phil - Steering Wheel
Steve Kerr - Shift
Ron Harper - Dashboard

I love me some BJ Armstrong.
Part of what makes MJ the GOAT is because as skip said if he hadn’t retired he could have won 2 or 3 more championships 🤯🔥
You think one team can make 8 straight finals runs with no injuries, ego clashes, trades etc...kd and steph were a lock to win last year..but the whole team fell apart with injuries...nobody talks abt that..we just think mj would have carried ppl for a whole decade. I'm of the belief that without the baseball break to refresh he doesn't win the backside 3peat..maybe one..maybe 2 sandwiched...but not a 3 peat and definitely not a 8 peat lol
He could played from someone else, but he was afraid to played from someone else and without Scottie pippen
That's why they play the game (The Great Chris Berman)
They would've lost against the Rockets.
"He thinks he the Alpha of this dynasty ? He's out of his mind" 😂😂😂
MJ still made it work through all these difficulties. My respect for MJ just went up to another level.
Jerry Krause has been dead for 3 years but we shouldn't make him the scapegoat and antagonist to all this. The 1994 Bulls still won 55 games with Pete Myers replacing MJ as the starting shooting guard! Pete Myers! 🤣
Lol they took the best players from the first 3 peat and added more talent... lost in the 2nd round then was a .500 team in 95 before jordan returned
even the hawks won 57 games that year... sonics won like 64 games and was out of first round
Skip loves this because it’s all about him,he was “one of the columnists in the locker room”. 😂

Its wierd how they talk about MJ ws the greatest competitor but retired after 98 instead of proving to front office that he could win without them
Oobz Ruger because even he knew he wouldn’t have won, 98 was a miracle that I commend The bulls for pulling off but there’s a reason everyone moved on because they knew if they did stay they would’v ruined that perfect record of 6-0
He only wanted to be coached by Phil

Shannon, the Bulls would have probably swept the Spurs in 99.
As great as Jordan was he was the GOAT. He didn’t want to play with out a Pippen and Phil. Jerry Krause drafted Pippen, Grant, BJ, Kukoc, trades for Cartwright, signed Rodman and Ron Harper. He hired Phil Jackson to coach. He wanted to trade for T-Mac but was vetoed by Jordan. Krause is in the Hall of Fame as a GM. MJ has seen how hard it is as GM he prolly down deep respects Krause even if he will never admit it.
Imagine having the greatest coach and player of all time and not wanting them back. Wow just wow this has never happened since or will never happen again.
The funny thing about Krause was. He wanted credit for the dynasty so bad that he destroy it himself. The Bulls was never dethrone by another team like the other NBA dynasty. His ego was so big that he believe he could've built another dynasty without MJ. What did he do, oh yea draft a bunch of bust. If he was such a great GM like he claims, he would still be successful after the MJ Bulls.
If social media was around back then, MJ wouldn't be so loved today.
It would not have mattered. Jordan even now like Larry Bird did not crave the spotlight or attention. Similar to Kawhi. Not everyone likes to be all over social media like certain players today.

MJ quit on the bulls mainly because of the terrible GM Jerry Krause, Lebron did a very a similar thing in 2010 when he quit on the CAVS because of the terrible Owner
@@WhatHuh-lr7cr lol HE DIDN'T RETIRE!!!! Patriots didn't want Brady.... SO HE WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE. HELLO

@@WhatHuh-lr7cr Jordan came back 3 years later and was an all-star that averaged 20 a game!!!! HE HAD GAME LEFT.
My question is why didn't the Chicago Bulls Owner get involved in preventing GM Jerry Krause from breaking up the team?
The Chicago Bulls Owner is also responsible for letting his GM Jerry Krause break up the team.
Did the Owner approve of it? Or was the Chicago Bulls Owner misinformed about it too late?
Someone please answer these questions for me?. Help me understand the behind the scenes...
Krause did trade Oakley for Cartwright. That was key for the Bulls getting past the Pistons. He at least deserves that credit.
Your kidding right Cartwright was a below average center who quickly declined Oakley was on his way up it was a terrible trade.
Pistons lost because they was old . . Oakley had 0 to do with the title
Romeo Williams Isaiah Thomas 30 yrs, Joe Dumars 28 yrs, Dennis Rodman 30 yrs, Their 3 best players that year were still in their primes. Jordan was 35 yrs old, Scottie Pippen was 32 yrs, Dennis Rodman was 37 yrs old and they still won the Championship in 98. Stop with that weak excuse that the Pistons were too old.
GM Jerry Krause did this intentionally because of the disrespects he got from the Chicago Bulls team. This was his way of getting back at all of them for their put downs and making fun of him. He said within himself this is revenge. I made you now I will break you apart. So long, bye bye...
19:36 that obama analogy by Shannon got me rollin
Aegistahl I was looking for this comment. Shannon got the best comments 😂
It's a shame that an ego breaks so many great things up
You have to laugh at the back-to-front logic at work here. Shannon concedes that when working the calculus for getting rid of the coach (not to mention the best player) or getting rid of the GM - the latter always loses. And in this case there should be no doubt whatsoever. Which tells you there were OTHER dynamics at work here which are not being talked about. I find it interesting that this series could have been made a loooong time ago. Yet it wasn't. Why? Obviously because Jerry Krause is dead. And dead men tell no tales.
This is the kind of stuff I love from these guys, forget all the drama. I wanna talk sports & all the things us fans always have wanted to know about the business
Notice how in the show today skip said KD was the best player? I thought it was Kawhi? Mine is Lebron KD Giannas Kawhi Ad
They wouldve won in 99 4 sure but idk about 2000 Shaq was unfair that year and Pippen and Rodman werent as good that year

He keep calling him little. How about when Jalen Rose called out your high school basketball stats.
