Been having a look at the US presidential candidates recently and I can't work out what you guys see in Biden over a guy like this. This guy isn't just the best of a bad bunch, he's a genuinely good candidate with a functioning brain.

Then why does he propose a VAT (which raises prices on items working class families need) instead of raising taxes of the companies that offshore and automate? Money to the poor goes directly to corporations (all welfare now is directly or indirectly corporate welfare, and corporations should be paying for such). Using a VAT to tax the middle class so they can continue to support Amazon, etc is a sham. AMAZON should be paying for the workers they displace.
If he was serious about problem solving then he would propose that we set up UBN (Universal basic necessities) with all the technology we have access to instead of making us hopelessly dependent on UBI. Do the math.

Do poor people have to buy keyboards, office supplies, US assembled things made with foreign parts like office chairs, clothes, school supplies? When all you have to do is create new IRS business categories for companies over $500 million that automate, create automation, offshore, and to what degree are they doing it. I started following his campaign after I came across one of his Q&A's. I like how he actually answered the questions and gave actual solutions that makes sense. If I was American I'd vote for him.

Primary is worth temporary changing your registration ASAP. Even if it doesn't work out, you're always free to vote for any candidate in the November election regardless of your current party registration.
Yang is probably the best candidate with the best timing for fixing what is actually broken in America while preparing us for the upcoming difficulties. Unfortunately he will not make it primaries because the rest of America has zero clue with what is actually wrong in America versus what extreme left or right narrative story makes the best headlines that translate to the convictions both sides use to shoot each other with. Money to the poor goes directly to corporations (all welfare now is directly or indirectly corporate welfare, and corporations should be paying for such). Using a VAT to tax the middle class so they can continue to support Amazon, etc is a sham. AMAZON should be paying for the workers they displace.
If he was serious about problem solving then he would propose that we set up UBN (Universal basic necessities) with all the technology we have access to instead of making us hopelessly dependent on UBI. Do the math.

Or are we going to make things super duper confusing and try to "VAT-this-but-not-that" everything to death, creating an insurmountable mountain of red tape and audits for smallish companies in places like Akron Ohio that make office chairs or print packaging. These are the companies that employ most people. Not Amazon or Facebook.
And you guys are proposing this complex VAT program, and pretending it only affects rich people... Very shady. When all you have to do is create new IRS business categories for companies over $500 million that automate, create automation, offshore, and to what degree are they doing it. These companies can well afford the additional paperwork to report such. And if a company can't afford to pay directly for the damage it's doing to our employment picture (or other aspects of society, like the environment for that matter), then perhaps their business model just isn't viable.
Andrew Yang is a front for wall street and/or big tech, who are planning on putting people out of work and are hoping the middle glass will pay for the damage, so they can still have customers.

Just because other countries have specified a VAT that exempts food doesn't mean that we are bound to implement the exact same thing. More loopholes is exactly what the these companies can afford the paperwork to circumvent. Your portrayal is almost completely reversed. If Yang was the Wall Street Candidate, his donor profile would be very different, as would his Mainstream Media Coverage.

I don't agree with most of Yang's policies, but I love his tact and approach. Very much a great figure to represent moderates and people more center. I hope we see more people like him in the future.
