ERICH WOLFGANG KORNGOLD - Love Scene from Capt. Blood [1935]

I think this is my favourite sequence from Korngold's first original film score, and so beautifully conducted by him on this original acetate recording from the optical soundtrack. The aching romance of the second theme underscores the quarrel between Peter Blood (Errol Flynn) and Arabella (Olivia de Havilland) just before the final sea battle - of course all turns out well in the end. The Warner Orchestra play superbly as usual.
