The doctors in my area are living in the stone age and passing out pills like their lives depend on it, especially Statins. It is no longer healthcare, it's universally sickcare.
I have had multiple hospitalizations over my 60+ years on this planet including surgery for illnesses that the so called 'experts' have never got to the bottom of.
It occurred to me maybe 10 years ago that none of the doctors, surgeons or medics ever once queried my diet. Beyond asking if I drank alcohol or smoked, my diet was never queried. At this point, I researched diet and ended up correcting every one of my ailments, some serious, purely by eliminating toxic foods, particularly foods containing glyphosates and sweeteners. I am now an expert in healthcare compared to all those so called doctors.
What I learnt in summary is that achieving good health is more about eliminating toxins than 'taking' a pharmaceutical.

Wouldn't you know that today I learned that this same string of health concerns.... metabolic syndrome.... insulin resistance... pre-diabetes... diabetes is the same string that leads to atrial fibrillation that is so much on the rise. LIFESTYLE. And it takes years and years of proper planning, execution and funding to get lifestyle right. It doesn't take paying doctors to cure you after it is too late. I say this after I did a lot of things right for many years but didn't do enough right. Now I'm alive and struggling with heart failure. My friend is struggling with AFib. These things steal your life. If you think taking care of yourself steals you life, maybe it does, but if you save your muscles and your health you will be saving the gold for your old age.

This is the best advice out there to become healthy. I buy fresh foods and cook from scratch, mostly meats and vegetables. Never buy premade baked goods other than bread and sometimes I make my own. I bake (only occasionally) from scratch whatever I want for sweets which I can freeze and eat them only on occasion. I certainly don’t deprive myself of eating an unhealthy meal when I go out to a restaurant with friends or have a pizza once in awhile. It’s just an occasional thing and not a weekly thing. . I am the youngest of 12 children. My mother and the majority of my siblings were diabetic. I am now 77 and do not have diabetes so I do believe diet plays a big role in preventing it. I am not overweight and overall pretty healthy and take no medications. I definitely could use more exercise though. Still working on that.

@enidcronin9704, congrats on losing the weight and taking charge of your health. B vitamins are important for the ability to digest carbs and control blood sugar. And we need far more than we get in our diet. Perhaps try a good B complex with activated B vitamins and see how you feel. Also look into the role of chromium and vanadium in helping our body control blood sugar. Vanadium is very safe per the studies I have read. And chromium is needed to help glucose get into the cells. Keep learning and improving your health!

Almost as good as fresh, no additives. To much work to cook them? Buy a cheap steamer, put in the water and the vegetables, set the timer on some 12 minutes and walk away. Forget about them for more than half an hour? No problem. They are just fine, just a bit softer. Steaming is also better for the vitamins.

I'm well up in age but will run until I hurt, just to hv a decent baseball ⚾️ game with strangers. There's too much sidewalk & too many museums to walk through to have loads of sugar in the the body. I’m talking aspartame, Sucralose… not sure about natural alternatives like monk fruit and stevia. I’ve also heard of the insulin spikes from “natural flavours”. Any fur5er info on all these would be much appreciative. Thanks for your continued dedication to bringing forth more awareness of how to stay healthy! ❤

Great advice here; if we could manage to do all of the things mentioned here, most of us would actually be healthy.
One other thing that most people don't consider, but I suspect is a major reason for such widespread poor health, is that most of us eat too often throughout the day. In the past, people would eat at mealtimes, maybe two or three times a day, and have literally nothing to eat for several hours in between. Now, the vast majority of us basically snack all day long. This results in blood glucose levels constantly, sometimes dramatically, bouncing up and down all day, which can't possibly be doing our pancreas and liver any favors, and probably leads to widespread secondary effects like brain fog and mood dysregulation.

Dr Dhand - I need this video more than ever!
I got a HOMA-IR done after watching one of your past vids - it was 5.1, which is "significantly insulin resistant."
Although the fasting glucose is 5.5, the fasting insulin was 21 (normal is up to 24) which I think is still dangerously high.
I bet that the normal range for fasting insulin that the lab gives is going to contain a whole bunch of pre-diabetics, so just bc it is stil "within normal range" does not mean it is OK.
Many thanks and Happy New Year

I’m reluctant to rely on numbers that “tests” spit out. There are so many factors that come into play. And your brain/thoughts can influence your metabolic pathways in ways we cannot imagine.

Thank you for all the helpful suggestions to be in better health. I need to include more exercise, everything else you mentioned, I'm doing and at 68, I am not on any prescription meds. I'm very thankful. The only thing you mentioned I don't agree with is diet pop. It has aspartame. Can't that create other health issues and thyroid disease? That's what I've heard from other doctors. Happy New Year to you, thanks again for all your helpful videos.

Almost all family doctors don’t explain the health issue of Insulin Resistance to their patients suffering from Inflammatory Diseases. If patients understand it fully their health outcomes will improve. Sometimes I am wondering whether these family doctors fully appreciate the dangers of insulin resistance.

I have been limiting my added sugar to no more than 25 grams a day and avoiding highly and ultra processed foods. I avoid seed oils and use extra virgin olive oil and butter. I use Ezekiel's 4-9 and Rustik breads. I feel great turning 60 in a week and on no prescriptions. People comment on my health and I tell them what I do and a few start to check into it but most do not change even acknowledging what it has done for me. I am getting disgusted with the Ozempic e-mails I wish they would not push that unhealthy way to lose weight.

@Dr. Dhand, can you make a video to help educate us on what bioengineering foods are and any potential harms they may do because for years had been eating Progresso Clam Chowders and they now read bioengineered ingredients on the back side of the cans so in the trash they went. Is this what they are calling fake foods on media platforms? Please educate as you can and may choose.

@@drsuneeldhandGood day Doctor, I just want to know if you please can do a video on prostate cancer? My dad is 82 and his psa was 27 they did a biopsy and he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He is on hormone therapy injections every 3 months. He had already 4 injections and it dropped to nearly 0.something.
My question is that although we are thank full that it dropped why does he still needs these injections every 3 months as it has side effects. Can his PSA not be monitored and as soon as it gets high say 4 or 5 then do the injection again?
Won't it be better to get an operation to remove his testiculs rather?
We mentioned to his oncologist to do injections intermittently but she says just now it goes up again? We would so appreciate your thoughts on this as he is 82 and hate feeling weak, hot flushes and his appetite is also influenced. We just want to know is there not better options? Thank you for your care and time! God bless!
