I'm sad you weren't allowed to play with Barbie when you were a little boy but thank you for creating this channel and doing these videos. You are delightful.
You are an amazing presenter and conveyor of a lot of historical information heavy with manufacturing facts and details. You make it funny and light and a little nasty. I think you’re a fantastic presenter. Thanks! You remind me of a dear friend who also collects Barbi. You’re both obsessed and amazing. Your joy shines through.
This is so good ... I watched twice , It's really fun to see another collectors perspective & joy over the Mod Barbie period ! Your segments never disappoint ! & are always so entertaining . I think we subscribers would agree. Your content is our happy place for collecting Barbie ! Cheers Matt Sky
Hot glue or a stick of gum. 😂😂😂I’m Canadian. Weed is legal here, like in Cali. Barbies are awesome. And vintage Barbie clothing is my jam. Ronald McDonald isn’t what I see in that outfit. More Comfy Couch. I’d pay serious cash for that London Mod look. Amazing upload. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Wow I have never seen any of these Barbie fashions and they are so fabulous!! Thank you so much for sharing. Love your videos so much!! I'm watching this again. . . . .
Dying! Its my favorite era as well. Thank you for s really fun video. You're helping me to pair down my collection of dolls and focus on what I really love and that's special.
I had a blonde Casey as a girl. I remember the day I got her. I loved that she had a single earring she was just too cool! I had the Twiggy dress with the green, yellow, and blue block stripes. I had Lemon Kick! I just loved the TnT face mold! It is to this day my favorite Barbie face mold! MOD was and is my favorite time for Barbie, probably, aside from being fabulous, it is the time period that I grew up with Barbie. I love watching your shows it brings back such fond memories!! I loved my Francie, she is my favorite to this day. Oh Stacey! I had the blonde/white haired Stacey. I loved her! It is amazing how well the vinyl has held up all these years! The current vinyl disintegrates so quickly if you aren't careful. Amazing collection!! 😻
I love Mod Era Barbie 💖 I would totally collect everything from this era if I had the budget. Love how Barbie got younger looking and more experimental with fashion. I am more of a Superstar Era collector being an 80s child , but Mod Era is my second favorite part of Barbie’s history.
Dolls from the past are just simply artful...they do details and clothing's were much intricately sworn...design is just so high fashion...and you have almost all of the rare dolls..kudos man
It's fun to watch your videos mainly because you are so enthusiastic about the dolls. Years ago, my friends were so excited about vintage dolls. We loved to go to 'doll shows' and loved talking and sharing stories about toys. Over the years, people's excitement about dolls has waned (in my opinion). That's one of the most exciting things about creating Larvie; seeing how excited people become when talking about Larvie. People instantly start to brainstorm ideas for Larvie. They start trying doll shoes on her. They giggle and squawk about how freaky she is! Love her or hate her, you can't stop thinking about Larvie.
The late-60s / early-70s are their own mini-decade - the culture and fashion is somewhat distinctive from the other parts of the 60's and 70's. However, the fashions disappeared just as quickly as they came, and then we were on to the dreadful mid-70s and then back to fun and glamor with the late 70's disco. Great video content!
I was born in 69, my sister in 65, so you are hitting me in the feels lol. There were such insane fabrics used back then! Just watched part 1, now this, and I can't help but think how awful these outfits would be made today: all one piece, printed details, burnt edge hems, etc. As a kid, we had a lot of lace/tulle/see through pieces, and very delicate fabrics, and although they looked great, they were so difficult to get on the dolls and not tear them up. It's like all the clothes back then were made for adult collectors. We always kept a bottle of baby powder in our toy box to help get their pants and shoes on the bendable legs. I had my mom's old Ponytail swirl, and although I thought she looked freaky, I played with her all the time simply because she was easiest to dress.
I am sooooo stoked he's back! I thought the early 60s/Part 1 would be the best... 'til I saw the mod fashions. This is my new Favorite channel, by far!!! Amazing content by a creator that I can not peel my eyes from... I'm in love. 🥰🤩
Maxi n Mini is one of my favourites. Though I have to admit to deboxing the NRFB one I got, to get a mint example to display. I have mind on a TnT Christie with oxidised hair...the red complements the blue so well, and picks out the red in the dress....
So glad you're back!! Ive been trying to collect some vintage repros (60s and 70s) on eBay and the prices are ridiculous!! I wonder why Mattel doesnt just issue or reissue reproductions each year since they seem to sell really well....
Mattel hasn’t done any Mod repros in a while…makes me regret not getting that “Mod Friends” set they did a while ago with Barbie Stacey and Christie. It is so expensive now.
Good to see you back! Your videos are always so much fun :D all of these outfits are gorgeous (and kooky)-can't pick a favourite! And I know exactly what you mean about the feeling of the fabric! I used to collect and wear vintage clothes for myself, and the feeling of the (often worn in) fabric is just so much nicer haha and I definitely feel the same about vintage Barbie clothes
What a wonderful presentation! You have an amazing knowledge not only of fashion, but the whole "vibe" of the period. Great job and very enjoyable to watch.😊
I enjoy your videos so much! As a collector myself I am so impressed with your amazing dolls! I too have collected for a couple decades now. I'm in my 60's and how I regret not starting decades sooner!@@@
A little late to finding this channel but I LOVE ITTTTTTTT!!!!! I will be watching everything back and eager for the new video! also your voice is so hypnotic it like makes me want to actually pay attention to what you’re saying so thank you
Hay king of barbie it's a hobby that just grabbed me a couple of years ago am 40 i look like you sorta full tattoo slives when I tell people that I collect vintage barbie thay think am joking it's just getting worse I can't stop but am loving it peace keep posting love the vids
me: woah a Twiggy doll! I bet that was hard to find me: he has FOUR more of them wow. that's so many. me: oh my god he just pulled out another one. does he have an endless supply of Twiggy??
You’re correct, side kick outfit is absolutely not PJs. it’s either in the new ASSOULINE Barbie coffee table book or the new Barbie takes the runway coffee table book but it’s absolutely shown next to the actual human fashions that inspired it and they def are not PJs they were part of a HUGE stripes fashion faze in the late 60s
Love it! Will you make a video talking about the doll market and how to get a deal on vintage dolls? I love these dolls but the price is out of my budget for sure. I have a couple cheap repros from the 90s but even some of those repro dolls are kinda expensive
I have an easier time getting older dolls than the newer ones out now including the reproductions. I been collecting vintage Barbie steadily since I was 14 in 1992, and it’s a very endless hobby
love learing about fashion and Barbie you are so cool you are died right now!!! I love your Joy you are most beautiful thing I seen haha the doll fashion are ok Haha
So cute!
You are so much fun! Love hanging out here with you!
Thank you!

Yeah I love the 80s and 90s stuff too, even if it ran more into fantasy territory a lot of the time. So much fun

Thanks so much! Yeah that era was definitely the most exciting period for fashion. And like you said, just like disco, so incredibly short-lived. ❤️❤️
