Didnt know he has a youtube channel! Hell yes loving yhe vintage collections. The scaplers are out of control this year selling out dolls within minutes thats just for the new dolls!
Very into your Chanel , I have been collecting Vintage Barbie, Family & Friends for decades & you breathe fresh air into the hobby ! I do collect it all from Vintage to Silkstones & every repro ! Thank you ! I totally enjoy watching !
I had walking Jamie I got for Christmas! Of course I gave her away to cousins when I was a teen, kept most of my other ones though...I did keep her poodle and accessories! I sold her empty box at the beginning of the internet years ago😂 for $100
I really enjoy the whole vibe you give off in these videos. I dont know much about 60s and early 70s dolls or have even seen them before. This video was awesome! Your channel/following is going to be big someday. Keep up the good work!
This entire video is something of a flex. Not only do you own these rare dolls, but they are complete and in perfect condition! i had to create my own Yellowstone Kelley. i bought a Quick Curl Kelley doll and had it rerooted with floor-length red hair. i was going to cut it, but the long hair makes her stand out. i've been chasing that doll for about 5 years, but i refuse to pay those prices.
Yeah I get it. We all kinda determine our own value for certain things. A lot of people would never spend over a hundred on ANY doll. And that’s cool too. lol ❤️
That infamous incompatible plastic on dolls that time, I busted a busy doll too and the talking Barbie’s were the start of those easy break bodies, unfortunately all mine I have now are glued down so they can’t move as they should
"Hi Barbie!" 👋 Loving your channel!! I saw the Dia de Los Muertos, you have, on clearance at Walmart for $39, I didnt get it, not my flavor, lol!! .... I also love vintage Barbies, can't get enough!! Thank you for sharing your Barbie knowledge!! I learn something new everyday!! I bring Barbies to work w me!! Lol!! I hand sew clothes n pocketbooks for them!!
Excellent video - looking forward to seeing more! Out of interest, how do you think some of the elusive overseas exclusives rank on this list e.g. Eli (sun sun and living), Japanese Skipper/Francie/MIDGE, Sun sun Malibu Francie, German Francie, Hawaiian Superstar Barbie? And how about Sidepart American Girl? Could be a topic for another video! 😊
Thanks! Yeah those overseas picks are such wildcards and so dependent on location that it’s really hard to say, but sidepart American girls, bubblecuts, etc are definitely easier to price. I really wanted to focus more on a variety of dolls here, as opposed to variations of more common dolls, but it’s a great idea for another vid! ❤️
I LOVE YOU 🩷 Thank you for being so great and for saying prices, no one does 🤷♀️ also exactly- we all know about the first ones🙏🥰💖 lots of love from Sweden /Annsofi 💖🩷💖
Love your video. I learned a lot, especially about quick curl Cara; I never knew about her existence. I really love your Francies, since she's my #1 favorite in the Barbie-spere.
Watching your videos in order is particularly satisfying, as I’ve started collecting only recently and this is such a fun way to explore the whole world of Barbie! I’ve saved a lot of $ for this, and it’s so difficult not to run out and buy every doll I see. So I had to put the brakes on until I learned at least the basics, and got an idea of what decades I love, and what collections from those decades! Some of these expensive dolls are tempting, but I think I’ll stick with my fave 80s and 90s collections for now.
I have a *1970 Walking Jamie,* with titian hair. She's cute. I would like to have a blonde and brunette, but I'm not willing to pay eBay prices for her. I have a couple of *1966 Color Magic Barbie* dolls. I have a Golden Blonde with low color face paint, and I have changed her hair to Scarlet Flame before, and even wet-set it into a flip. It actually styles really well if you treat it nicely. I also have a high color that is rerooted in black. She's a real showstopper. Obviously it doesn't have a color change feature. I have a couple of *1964 Miss Barbie* dolls. I always thought she was a bit not-beautiful. I think she's a great doll to wear outfits like Ski Queen. I have never heard of Fashion Queen heads being damaged by the wigs, I don't see how that could happen. I also have a couple of *1974 Yellowstone Kelley* dolls. I have one that is flat-out mint, with the wrist tag. Her joints are frozen, and I haven't bothered trying to move them or repose her. I have another one with a repaired body. I don't have *1972 Talking Busy Steffie.* I have a few *1972 Talking Busy Barbies,* two on the original body, and one on a Quick Curl body wearing Picture Me Pretty. I also have *1972 Talking Busy Ken.* I don't have *1972 Montgomery Ward's Anniversary Barbie.* I've never found her in the wild. I have quite a few longhair TNTs, but none in the redhead/titian color. I think the titians are oxidized Go-Go Coco. I have a couple of *1971 Live Action Christie* dolls. None in the original outfit though. I have one in Glowin' Gold, and another in Super Scarf. I have a couple of *1972 Busy Steffies,* and the head for a *1972 Busy Francie.* I have gotten really good at repairing Busy and Talking Busy dolls. I even 3D printed new arm pegs for them at one point. I also have *1972 Busy Barbie* dolls and *1972 Busy Ken* dolls, a few of each. I've never had a *1971 No Bangs Francie,* but I do have the Smashin' Satin repro. I don't like her that much. I also think No Bangs Francie is kind of overrated. She's got that yellow face issue that the 1971 Japan dolls often suffer from. I have a couple of *1975 Quick Curl Cara* and a *1976 Deluxe Quick Curl Cara.* I also have *1976 Ballerina Cara.* The only Cara doll I don't have is *1976 Free Moving Cara,* but I do have *1976 Free Moving Curtis,* who is even more rare than Cara. I have repro *1967 Black Francie* dolls, and part of the original. I have her body, but not her head. Someday I'll complete her. I think that you should add *1972 Barbie With Growin' Pretty Hair* and *1971 Hair Happenin's Barbie* to this list, as both are quite rare. I don't have either of them, but I have the box, dress, and accessories for Growin' Pretty Hair Barbie. You should also talk about Sidepart AGs, LHAGs, etc.
Wow, sounds like you’ve got a great collection. Yeah, sometimes I forget how hard to find growin pretty barbie especially is. I’ve had them for so long I sometimes forget. I’d have to agree about no bangs Francie being overrated too. Just not worth the price at all.
Hi there, I'm enjoying your channel very much. I found a number 6 Ponytail Barbie lying face up and naked, at the top of a dumpster. 😅 I took her home. She might not be a number 1 but she was FREE. Now I just have to find her red swimsuit. She's wearing a vintage sky blue and silver halter dress at the moment. It was destiny. :)
Loved all of your choices! I was thrilled to get Black Francie this summer, but I’m still looking for several of the others you showed. One tiny correction: it’s not a baking soda solution that changes the Color Magic hair, but washing soda. I was able to get some on Amazon and change my CM wigs. I don’t dare try it on my one doll or her outfits!
I saw a wonderful Barbie doll in that video. Her name is Color Magic Barbie and you say she`s from 1966. Okay. I changed to ebay and found her. Guess how much she is? 1400 bucks! Can you believe that? That`s insane. And I found another one, also with that yellow hair for 2100 dollars. What a high price! But the doll is abolutley gorgeous.
Okay I could kick myself! Had Walking Jamie got her for Xmas. She was my least favourite Barbie gave her to my cousins daughter. Keep ALL my other Barbies but her. But I did keep her poodle, leash dish etc. Had her box kicking around for years storing things and when the internet first came out I was in a Barbie group and sold it for $100 empty box only. To someone in California when I had to wait for a check in the mail 😂
I love the color magic 🎀💖 do you have the hair set?, I will love the see a video about this beautiful doll, she deserved, there's not much videos about her, and the things that she comes with 💖💜, thank you for your work
She’s amazing! I do have the set with solution bottles and hair dryer and wigs. If you check out my tour collection videos I think you’ll see them. Would love to make a video all about her sometime ❤️❤️
This was great ... I have almost all of these gals!!!! (Just missing Yellowstone Kelley, and TBH I wouldn't wanna pay a lot for her as she just doesn't do it for me! LOL) I also have the vintage versions of No-Bangs Francie- both blonde and brunette, but the sellers didn't know who they were, so I got both for about $350!! ... though it took years of searching as I also refused to pay a fortune for her... I also have all four of the Caras too, and I LOVE her! Your black Francie is stunning! 😍
Awesome video I have all these beautiful dolls in my collection I don’t have a number one but I do have a number 2 been collecting for a long time the current prices on eBay are really high even Allen is expensive now I’m currently collecting all fashions from 1959 to 1964 only need 3 more yay!!!! I also love Kens fashions I collect from 1959 to 1976 so please continue giving us collectors more vids thank you
I lucked up it was a late night auction and no one was bidding on her so I did and won I couldn’t believe it she’s a really pretty brunette I only have one number 3 but I have several fours I just love the early ponytails
I don't care what anyone says, the Barbie Mule is by far the sexiest heel a lady could ever wear, especially with a high waist skinny leg denim jean paired with and off the shoulders leotard like very Peggy Bundy lmao now I need some cute mules
How TF did you find them so beautiful like that i cant afford none of it nib on ebay its ridic. Miss barbie was freaky my dolls head swung around lol 😂 with the magnet in her head
I am one of those "weird" Barbie collectors. I love vintage Barbie reproductions. But I do not care for vintage Barbie. That preference has saved me tons of cash.
fun fact Montgomery Ward did a line of Mid Mod furniture during the period when Herman Miller was working with Eames-----they consulted the same big designers but they were sold under the store brand name........you can find some real gems under the Montgomery Ward name -----fun fact I was a mid-mod furniture dealer in Michigan with my EX husband in another life LOL I LOVE YOUR FUCKING CHANNEL SO DAMN MUCH if i ever come to LA I want to nerd out over pop culture shit wit chu K?
Talking busy Steffi, slowly spinning with that vacant mod expression, looking like she just dropped a tab. I live.
I want color magic barbie so bad you don’t even understand 😭
I lost it at "mod mario" lmao its so true
2 episodes in 1 week!! This list is so awesome really enjoying learning more about vintage barbies 🤩😍
Awesome! Thanks so much
Didnt know he has a youtube channel! Hell yes loving yhe vintage collections. The scaplers are out of control this year selling out dolls within minutes thats just for the new dolls!
Thanks! Yeah, the Barbie movie has turned the market pretty wild this year.
I feel like many of the early 70s Barbies look like Elizabeth Montgomery from Bewitched. Especially the live action version
Totally! I always thought the truly scrumptious doll look most like her. 🙌🏻❤️❤️
@@Thedollswitness definitely!
Great list! Would love it if you could go over the different face molds. ❤
Thanks! Note taken!❤️

Yup, I had Busy Barbie and she fell to pieces, and I wasn't hard on my dolls either.

I Have the Talking Busy Steffie too! (fun fact: in one of the tv commercial she was called "Talking Busy PJ" by mistake)
Does your Steffie still talk?
Nice fact! My steffie speaks in some incomplete phrases a lot of the time, but she’s doin her best ❤️
I’ve been saving for color magic
You nailed it with the highly desired Barbies and fashions... facts!
