Yuka you speak the truth about Del Bocca Vista - that's a top-notch trail no matter what colour you put on it; and it's definitely the best Green trail I've ever ridden too.
This is a fantastic list! I also give honourary mention to "No Joke" trail in the garbo zone as being in the list somewhere too. So many amazing trails on the list, just wow!
Personally I think the most iconic double black tech line is Schleyer, in part because it isn’t just a tech line but, save for a rock garden, a tech line that turns into a flow trail with speed. It just combines the best of whistler bike park in a way unique to anywhere else in the world. I think that there are 2 pro tech lines, Filthy Ape and The Manager. Filthy ape is the most visually impressive but the manger is the real deal, with its sub bike length ledge half way down.
Whistler is something to dream of for me as I am located in Germany. But who knows... maybe one day. 🙏 Anyway like that vid same as all the others. You are such an inspiration. Best regards to Eric as he also is.
Very good video. Good choices. The bike park has been in such bad shape this year that fatcrobat just hasn't been much of an option, and Top of the world is also not really viable this year either. Still the trails you picked are the best of the best. I like Schleyer the best because it can be ridden very fast by good riders and very slowly by people just dipping their toes onto the double blacks. Its kind of the del bocca vista of double blacks.
@@VanGirlYuka That makes two of us! I left BC many years ago and it is only recently that I discovered Whistler as a great reason to go back in the summer!
I finally went to whistler a few weeks ago and unfortunately I was a little disappointed. Halfway through my first day I was riding the lift and the guy next to me upon learning it was my first time at whistler said "there's just nowhere like this in the world" and honestly I just couldn't agree. I think I had so much hype built up in my mind about how amazing it was that I expected everything to just be on another level from everywhere else I'd ever ridden. Maybe it would've been better if I had been brave enough to checkout more double blacks, but from my perspective my local bike bike parks jump lines (around Idaho and northern Utah) were just as good as the whistler jump lines (whistlers were a little bit longer, and the jumps were maybe 10% bigger, but the trails were rutted and brake bumpy and the flow wasn't as good). As for tech whistler was good but the northshore I spent the 3 days before whistler riding was much better. For the record northshore ABSOLUTELY lived up to the hype, northshore was AMAZING! Don't get me wrong, it probably IS the best bike park in the world, but modern bike parks have just gotten so good that I wouldn't say it's on "another level". I'd give my local parks an A and whistler an A+. Maybe I'll go back one day and try more double blacks and my mind will be changed, but as for blues and blacks I rode almost all of them, don't expect them to be on another level. One suggestion I'd have for anyone else that goes is don't even bother with the gondala, just ride the chair lift - my second day was much better when we chose to ride the chairlift all day.
This years bike park has been a bit disappointing. Three of the 4 zones are effectively unridable, so the variety is not there, and the part that is open is getting very blown out from over use. That said if you had ventured on to the double blacks I'm sure you would have seen a whole new side of the trails. It is still an awesome place to be despite this years extreme challenges
I don't understand the use of imperial measurements, you're Japanese in Canada but not using metric? 🤔 Still enjoying the videos but puzzling over that.
Really informative! Thanks yuka! I can only dream 😂
We all are still dreaming because the Whistler is still closed! It opens next Thursday 😁
just book the ticket already

Great video Yuka. You are the most courageous person I've even seen. Hope you're doing well this year!

Those jumps are so huge. Awesome as always.
They are huge but they were built very well so pretty easy to get used to. You’ll feel like you become an awesome jumper✨
Whistler is certainly on my bucket list. Nice video!
You must visit the Whistler! It’s the mountain bikers Heaven🤩

Great video Yuka! It all looks like fun! Now I'll have to plan a trip to Whistler soon!!

I think we rode Schleyer this year more than the past year combined and I loved it! Even though I had a stupid crash on it🤣
agreed, there are new lines Ive seen people come up with the last few years too, the trail is iconic and seems to be a fav
So stoked for my first trip to Whistler this summer! Bummer that creek side will be closed… but I’m still stoked!
Original Sin is one of my favorites! Glad to see it make the list
Great video!!! That's a huge bike park. I've never been there before, and this video helps those of us that have never been there before.
You make it seem so easy. 👍

It’s been a while, but Goat’s gully, Detroit rock city and Schleyer were tops for me.
Goat’s gully scare the hell out of me 😱
Glad to see a local video of a great trail system. Definitely need to get out to Whistler one of these days. Thanks for the review and inspiration!
A great place to live✨ I’d love to go ride everyday if I were close to the Whistler!

Polp fiction def my fav
I like POLP fiction too✨Taking the wooden line on the right might be smoother than the rocky footy line on the left.
I travel to Whistler in July... I'm very nervous!!!!!
Don’t be nervous it’s so fun there
Fun shine is now completely different full rebuild and probably no top of the world this year because of the creekside being closed.
That’s right! I really wish they build an alternative route!
