You missed seeing Eland at Banhoek. They are the largest antelope species. Majestic animals. There is a large herd that roams around there. I nearly smashed into one a few months ago as I was descending there and it took flight across the trail right ahead of me. It was frightening and terrific at the same time. I can still see the rippling muscles on its flank as it ran past.
I’d love to see them! I think we kind saw Bonhoek but they were so far away. We looked around the game farms around but there were none but the donkey…
I believe that "big butt bird" was a Guineafowl, but Elephants are my absolute favourite large animal! The biggest land amimals and they are vegans! Did you know that there are 23 herbivores that are bigger than the biggest land dwelling carnivore?

And 'Bosch' is a German car manufacturer 😂. _The reason why it is called like this is probably colonisation, which of course isn't nice_ but the name is still kind of funny 😝.
What about mambas? 2nd deadliest snake in the world. Virtually 100% fatal. Very common in SA and the fastest snake in the world. You, definitely will NOT be able to outrun one.
