5:20 ... that was a BEAUTIFUL moment. "I just need to trust the trailbuilder and send it!" *perfectly timed beautiful take-off, hub, landing sounds* Damn, it was gorgeous.
Eric, you better hurry up an heal, Yuka is gonna be towing YOU in! Yuka, you are so genuine, honest an stoked on life!!!!! Abosolutely love when you post! Keep pedalin 🤟
Last week I showed my wife your videos to help her understand why i love MTB and thanks to you she came out on the trails today and loved it! We did shout out "Van Girl Yuka!" in your honour a few times whilst riding 😁. Thanks for helping me show her how awesome riding is 🙌
If case hurts.. stop hurting. No brake. :) I love your channel. Had to add that. Just the way you talk to us while you ride the bike makes it so interesting and hearing how you challenge yourself.
That second drop is crazy and you crushed it way to go! That place looks so insane i actually made my 1st trip to a downhill mtb park here in the states and it was so much fun i cannot wait to go again! Keep up the great work!
I've been riding much of my adult and almost my entire formative years but I've still never jumped with your confidence Yuka. If I could have just 20% Yuka courage I'd be twice the rider
OMG YUKKA!!! I’ve actually been lucky enough to visit whistler and them drops are HUGE!! I mean huge! I don’t think I will ever be able to send them. I don’t like drops very much. Can’t seem to do them well. And then you sent the ski jump! That’s massive too! That’s on my bucket list for next time! 10/10 for your riding today! That blew me away! Very well done! Just awesome and in awe!!!
Yuka, one of my big challenges has been jumping again. Nothing like what you have shown here but it's so funny that my palms got sweaty watching this...this just owes to your detail and info you provided during the video. So entertaining and love that you cleared all your challenges. Thanks for the great video!
Yuka that was fucking amazing 😍. Your progression is incredible. Your jumping and drops on this video were fantastic, you could really see how much confidence you were carrying through your riding. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Hey Yuka, kudos on riding the proline, your skills are improving for sure. I noticed you have large grips and your brake levers are at max reach, might I suggest you try small grips and bring the brake levers in as close as you can without hitting the second finger. You will have a much better hold on the bars and you'll be able to brake without bending your wrist and reaching up. Give it a try you won't regret it. Peace
I always look forward to your videos as well as BCPOV videos.By far my fav RUclips folks.Yuka you just keep getting better and better.Enjoy life and stay safe
I want to visit Whistler one day and have my best day ever! You did awesome girl! The progress you have made jumping and drops are huge. Keep up the great work. Your enthusiasm is contagious. I Love your channel.
Best day ever❤️❤️❤️🤪🤪. Eric must have been a bit sad he missed it😢. Awesome fun video, I look forward to them each week! Can't wait to get to Whistler, but in the meantime I'll get jumping here in NZ.
Wow, the amount you've progressed with your jump skills is really inspiring!!! I was out in Whistler about a month ago (my first time) and I rode Dirt Merchant and A-Line. Those are some scary jumps... You did WAY better than I did! Congrats!!! Now I need to go back and try to find the same confidence that you found!
Moving to the bush next year with trails starting 2mins ride from my front gate. Also will be living on a 6 acre property with space to setup some practice trails. Going to work on my jumping as a nasty stack which busted my arm and gave me a concussion a couple of years ago totally killed my jumping confidence. Your jumping journey is inspiration for this goal...I just need to find a good dose of your courage. Also, my girls love your vids too and always ask when I will be as good a rider as Yuka ;)
Yuka have you ever tried riding a big bike like the guys you ride with? It will instantly make the chunder in the bike park much smoother and jumping will be easier as a result. Your already pushing that small bike quite hard, would love to see you crush it on something with more travel at a bike park.
The first thing I ever learned about jumps is that speed is your best friend. If you show fear and are tentative then you will land shallow in the trough or worse, flat against any follow up ramp up on any subsequent jumps in the line! That will wreck you and your bike. Now we are talking about a night's sleep in a ice tub and repairing your bike. You have to trust the run designer and know that speed is crucial.
This is true 90% of the time and fear most often wins in someone's mental battle before a jump which is why cases are so common. Also your comment, when applied to Whistler specifically, is _extremely_ true. But I have overshot my fair share of local jumps, some EXTREMELY far, and overshooting will very very frequently lead to endoing as your body instincitvly tenses up and you don't pull on the bars like you should on the face because you know your going too fast. This is why so many mtb endo crashes are from overshooting jumps.. you rarely see it happen when they go the right speed. Trust the trail designers at Whistler, but not everywhere!
your videos are just great, love them all! i´m new at mtb, but i try to practis every day, and challenge myself to progress more and more. Im from Chile, south america, and i love your videos and the BCpov too! keep riding!
The phrase "Just send it like Yuka" is becoming a part of my regular vocabulary.
