I took a group of Whistler virgins in 2016 and at the end of day 1 my buddy goes, "This is the Greatest day of my life and I am married and have 2 kids don't tell my family". It really is life changing.
I feel deeply grateful to VanCan for showing me around. I know I would not have progressed as quickly without his help. Glad you dug the vid and the music! 🤘🏾
Nice! That's part of my goal. It took years before I could finally put together a trip to Whistler. But now that I have, I know I gotta go back every year. There's a reason it's called the MTB mecca. 🤘🏾
Thanks! That will be a haul when you do it. But you'll have plenty of fellow Aussies to keep you company when arrive. I got more used to the Aussie accent in the village than the Canadian accent. 😆 I hope to get to your hemisphere someday!
Great tech, love the trail previews! I go to Whistler every year but haven't yet taken videos for my channel - you've inspired me to do so this year! BTW: personal preference, but for me on most of these I find a good enduro bike (160/170mm) feels better than a DH bike. The suspension feels more dialed and on most of these it won't bottom out, and the bike is a bit more nimble and maneuverable since except for the fast jump lines I'm usually not riding at high speeds on most trails.
Have you been to Whistler yet? If so are you about the tech, flow, or jump lines? And if you haven't been yet, why not?!
Heading this fall when only Fitzsimmons is open so appreciate this guide!
No worries. Hope it helps!
@@s_wipp Also heading to Whistler this fall. Keen to try some tech trails.
Fun video. A lot of Whistler videos are of same old, same old trails if you know what I mean. Loved seeing these tech trails.
Thanks! I can't wait to get back to Whistler!

Hahaha! I can relate.
Caught that "watch me walk it" in there haha great editing and some fun riding dude. Love some good tech.
LOL! Nice. I was wondering who'd catch that. 😆
Thanks! So much good tech in Whistler.
Blasting through Fade to Black like it was nothing! Now I need to watch that video!
Ha! Yeah..that trail flows.
Rad ridng Alan. It's a huge trip for me , so not sure I'll ever make it, but it's nice to watch.
Thanks! I feel you. It took a fair bit of logistics and resources, but going to Whistler changed me. 🤘🏾
Wish we had Vancan to bring us around when we were there in 3 years back. Thanks for sharing and great content with nice music too!

Dude, the oriental music is awesome. Great edit - and so funny intro!
🤘🏾😄
Haven’t been to Whistler but i hope to go there some day. The trails there look real nice. Technical stuff mixed with some flow is my kinda jam.
Yeah! You gotta get up there.
I agree! I love a good combo trail.
That intro was awesome. Love the background voice!
😂 Thanks!
Your videos just make me want to go to whistler. Hopefully soon I will be able to make it up that way. Keep on shredding!

Awesome trail system enjoy 👍
Thanks! Will do!
New sub here. 63 year old rider from New England. Great videos sir!
Yo! Thanks for subscribing! And thanks for the kind words. Rock on! 🤘🏾
Whistler is so far away from Sydney Australia but hopefully 1 day I’ll get there. Rad video Alan once again 🤙🏼
Thanks!

@@mtb_alan we do get around 😀
💯
Great riding, love your music choices!
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Love all of it. Any level can ride every type.
Such an amazing place!

Heck yeah! Make those vids!
I definitely had fun on my Reign SX which is a dual crown but not a DH bike. It's a 190/165 bike and great for bike parks.
How many days until they open the trails in Whistler? Already jonesing...thanks! haha
IKR. I'm tempted to go for Whismas but I'll probably not go until June when everything should be open.
@@mtb_alan Count me in!
Hell yeah!
Dude, the background vocals...💀
"We'll start with some confusion (background vocals: CONFUSION)".
Noice.
😆 🙏🏾
Was this from this summer? I met you (awkwardly crashed another guy saying hi) outside the coffee shop. Love your vids.
LOL! Yo! I'm often either on the trail or at a coffee house, so that make sense. 😆
Yah...this was from last August. You headed back up this year?
Yo yo. Great video. When was this filmed??
Yo! Thanks.
Mid-August 2023.
Oh yeah I forgot DEL BOCA VISTA is the Best Green trail on earth. 🤪🤘🏻
So fun!
Trails look amazing, music choices were painful
Hmmm...maybe there's something in your shorts. I found the music great!
Whistler has to be so much fun. I say we have a contest and the winner gets to ride with you there. Maybe Colorado or California if that's easier.
Ha! The contest would just be one of timing and shouting at me in the lift line. 😄
