These aren't actually trends amongst American made knive, they're only representative of your preferences and what you gravitate towards.
For every one "overbuilt" Hinderer or Demko, there are thousands of Para 3 LW's and Bugouts.

I see your point, but I spoke about those specific brands (hinderer, Demko, Medford, etc.) Being "high-end American-made knives" and the qualities of those brands and designs, are overbuilt.
And you're right, those are my preferences, absolutely 💯. But I didn't design those knives, they came from each manufacturer that way, overbuilt. I also touched on the commonalities of those brands featured being the bigger blades and tighter tolerances.
Notice I didn't feature Benchmade or Spyderco, with the Para 3 and bug out. Which are lightweight and slicey blades. But rather, I featured the opposite which come from those brands shown in the video which are 100% made in USA with every part and design are made in-house.
      Correlation doesn't necessarily mean causation.
Appreciate your feedback my friend! God bless you

The problem with American made knives. They were beautiful, built, strong with the primary use of a knife. Any knife large is small is to cut in the blade at the edge usually is too thick and you can’t get a very sharp edge and it is not a good cutter, so regardless of everything else, it falls on its face for the primary use of a knife to cut😢
