    • @AdventureByJake

I was hoping for the same! I’m running Pirelli Angels on my 125cc Sprint. It looks like City Grip 2 and the Pirelli Angel are very very close in performance (direct competitors). Angels slightly better in the wet, City grip 2 has slightly better longevity. I’m at 4600 miles on Pirelli Angels and the rear should last until the 6000 mile service.
There’s also Pirelli Diablo and the Michelin Power Pure as the sports versions from Pirelli and Michelin. Again, very evenly matched from what I’ve read, but both sacrifice a lot of their wet weather performance for dry weather grip.
As I’m in England and ride all year round, I think I’m going to stick with the Pirelli Angels.
      What tyres are you running?

Yamaha really pushes their automatics as performance bikes it seems lol
My SMAX came with the Power Pure I believe, on the front, and the Purelli Diablo on the back.
The XMAX comes with the Scootsmart tires (seems to be the same on both wheels), which seems to be rated by some people as really good. :) No need to change tires luckily.
But I love to hear about automatics, it just isnt heard about much at all in the west despite it not being so small of a group of riders.

I run Power Pure's on both my scooters (Burgman & Kymco Like), no issues on either. Sounds like you have bad valve cores. Did you spray soap IN the core and see if they bubble? Get a tool and replace them. Only about $5 for a tool and lifetime of cores.

+ScooterDano I went to a different workshop and they sprayed the soap on the tire bead and rim, lots bubbles showing immediately,so they sanded the edge of the rim a little bit before swapping the new tire set and problem solved.Since I was never get used to the slippy feelings of Power Pure,so I also changed both of my front & rear tires to Pirelli Diablo Scooter, feels awesome. The valve cores didn't have any issue, but I still changed, just in case.

That maxxas tire on a grom! Why don't more grom riders have it?
We all go off road and drop the grom. I love mine. Great grip everywhere on or off road. No chicken strips on mine

The Pirelli fashion tyre is surprisingly good in the rain when it's mounted backwards. It basically handles the same as it does in the dry. Which is mediocre especially when it comes to braking.
All the courier scooters at my job have those, mounted in reverse. Predictable, mediocre performance.

If you want to ride most of the year on your scooter City Grips are no good. You should try the Heidenau K66.

@@timtaylor8557 Because for many years my scooter was my only mode of transport year round. On wet roads and low temps City grips don't give you much confidence, if you ride 6 months a year they are very good.
