Excellent instructions as always. I have done this job a couple of times, and even though I saved some money, it just kills your knees, hands, arms and lower back. I’ll be paying next time for the change. On another note, Brisbane, Australia has similar climate to your island and have found the Pirelli Angel scooter on my XMAX300 to be absolutely amazing. Especially in the wet, the tyres have never even once given me a scare (I’ve scratched my centre stand a couple of times while leaning in the turns). They have approximately 9000km on them and still feel like new. Cheers!

I try to make all my videos as good and easy to follow as yours. This was great. I've only ever done it on bicycles before lol. Hope your wrist is okay. PS: Vespa LX, nice! I'm on a Vespa S.
The way you're doing it is much less labor-intensive than the way that I did it one time, I mounted a scooter tire myself once, I used 3 screwdriver and a ratchet strap, removing the tire was easy enough, but mounting the new one was one of the hardest jobs I've ever done in my life, I had to use three big flat-head screwdrivers to get it on the rim, and I used the strap to push the bead out so that it would hold air, needless to say after that pain, I now take my tires to a shop for mounting
When rope or hose is between rim and tire, is easier put iron to gap in tightest section. Rope also help pull tire out against leg on rim. Wipe soap off before inflating.
If is hard to get bead to seat on the rim, valve stem hole give bigger opening to get more air in. When stem is inside with string to pull it in hole. Use high pressure and large , short hose.
Hello there, Super video! Do have a question though: Where can i find the values on how tight the brake disc should be tightened on the front wheel? Thanks!
Maybe find a forum with scooter enthusiasts for the same brand/type of scooter that. you own. These Forums are really helpful and people are usually nice, and would be happy to share that info with you if they have it. Sorry, that's all I can offer unless. you want to tell us what kind of scooter you have ?
You are right. But very few people keep tyre lever at home, not to talk about mole grips. Also sometimes the old tyre sticks to rims and it requires hammer and tyre lever to separate tyre from rims( One can use C clamps or mole grips to press the tyre)
I don't have a compressor, so I tried the tie strap method with no success. I'd seen other redneck videos using starter fluid and grill lighter method. I was a bit apprehensive, but I was successful. Sprayed just a little bit of starter fluid inside the tire, then lit 'er up. Small pop, and it set the beads perfectly. I then let it sit for a few minutes without the valve stem which I'd removed, and everything was all good.
