Thank you!! Thanks for stopping by! You're welcome!
The video has an almost meditative effect on me - no silly music, no superfluous information, just the facts presented in a perfect way. 10 out of 10 possible points!
PS: Have I already praised the chilling atmosphere - I love the chirping birds in the background. 👍👍👍🦜
Perhaps the best video tutorial, clear, slow... dummy proof..! Thank you!

Wow,the Italian schtoor has much more complex design at cvt case than made in Taiwan! In Taiwan country side, every family has several schoors for family guys. It's so conveient and useful in our daily life.
Thanks for your job and great work.
Interesting! Thank you! Ride safe!

Quality tutorial! Will use it when working on my Aprilia!
😄👍🏼🙌🏼
@@MitchsScooterStuff what weight sliders by Dr Pulley do you use with the 300cc (OK - it is 278cc in reality)? There are four or five different weights ranging from 11 to 22grams available for this (and the 200cc) engine. Also: do the lighter weight sliders give better acceleration/higher rpm at a given speed while the heavier ones provide lower rpm at a given speed and thus better fuel economy? Do you know the weight of the original roller/slider?
Speechless best tutorial ever for driving belt many thanks man 🔥🔥🔥how often do you replace the belt? Its about 15000km If im not wrong? Thanks again
perfect and so clean job, thanks!
Our pleasure!
Top! This video shows that the variator must be tightened with the correct torque! If the torque of the vario is incorrect, there can be performance problems when cold/hot. With Minarelli engines, for example, this is about 30-40 NM. Threadlocker would be good too. 👍👍
Excellent! Well done!
Danke! Greetings from Rosenheim Bavaria Germany
Thank you for the big support! 🙌🏼❤️
You saved me $100's. Thanks.
complimenti e grazie per il video ! ✌🏻
I like your vidéos because you explain well thank you
You are welcome!🤗
while opening of scooter parts like shown on the video make sure to clean the parts with wd 40 and clean the clutch pad using 80 grit emery paper it will work better
Bellissimo video, bravo.
High great video do you think on a 125 vespa GTS super that it might seize the scooter the heat not sure how true this is. Your videos are bang on..
Great video keep them coming👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Thanks, yup!
Superb tutorial thanks
Hi Mitch. Any recommendations on getting some more power/speed out of a pre leader 125 LX?
Great TUT!!!! thanks mate!
Thanks!
Bravo bravo bravo 👍 ciao dalla Sicilia 😁
Hi! thank, geat video! One question: Is the placement of washer in the variator necessary?I have longjia xdv 300 (lexmoto, keeway vieste 300 xdv etc, with piaggio engine) and this washer makes scooter starts at high rpm's
Hi Mitch, once again i love your videos and i do the same job on my GTS 300 after i study your video :-) do you also have a video where you chnged the silent block!? Greeting from Germany
Exactly the same CVT as in Gilera Runner 125 ST, you can add in tags, thanks so much!
Thanks for the info!
Excellent job👍
😄👍🏼
Excellant as usual 👍
🤙🏼🤙🏼
Would graphite powder be a suitable substitute for the high temp grease?
Thank you. Excellent video..
You are welcome!
Fricken awesome video bro.
Thank you!
Changed my rollers it’s still rattling so I’ve ordered the bearing , and new pulley someone said it should help now .
Thank you sir. I want the 300gts Vespa. I owned only Japanese X-max so far, how reliable would you say vespa is? would you do a long trip with this one? My x-max is 50K and had no issues with it all those years.
Thanks for the video, can you tell me the 3/8*24 in mm , please?
Have a 2010 GTS 300 with 5000 miles. Original belt but seems quiet and smooth. Do I need to replace it because of age? It’s ridden somewhat mildly with no highway use. Would appreciate your thoughts.
Should you use high temperature grease on the spacer?
19/10 molto chiaro fatto bene
is it recommended to apply degreaser and clean heavily soiled parts or best not to?
i noted here you did a dry only cleaning perhaps on purpose?
If cleaners can be used, what kinds?
Awesome videos. Thank you.
Yes you can if it’s hard to clean off dust and dirt, just careful not spray in hole where grease are…
I use gunk engine cleaner “foamy”
Thank you!

Does removing the pulley between the two discs affect the motorcycle
@
Mitch's Scooter Stuff: Hi Mitch. I'm an avid watcher of your videos. just a quick question, please. why are some CVT belts grooved from both sides, inner and outer? inner, its understood, to give more grip with the pulleys, just like in cars. but why does the outer side have to be grooved too? thanks in advance.
According to Honda, in esp+ generation, dual teeth vbelt will reduce vibration and enhance fuel consumption:
Double cog belt
The drive belt used for shifting gears is a double cog belt with cogs on both the outside and inside. Compared to the single cog structure, the double cog belt is softer in the direction of bending and has higher rigidity against pressure from the sides. This characteristic reduces the resistance generated while bending and suppresses friction. The deformation caused by the pressure applied from the pulleys to the sides of the belt is suppressed, resulting in highly efficient output transmission with less loss of driving force, and low fuel consumption
@@bachnguyenvanbang8846 Much appreciated. You'd be surprised of how many motorcycle mechanics don't know that. Thank you sir.
One question: I had the belt replaced at 20,000 km, now I have 29,000 and when I accelerate at the start it whistles, but it responds well to acceleration. Then warming up he doesn't do it anymore. Can it be solved with some spray or do I have to replace it already? thank you.
dudeeee u are awesomeeeee
You are!
Good job.
Thank you 👍🏼
Excelente video
Thank you!
Hello from Romania . Quick question : i have a 2023 Vespa GTS 300 HPE Super Sport with 4000 km , and i recently upgraded it with a Polini Speed Bell Evolution , Polini Black Rollers 13 grams , but also changed the belt with a Piaggio original belt and also a new original Piaggio V-Belt Pulley . The clutch remained the original one , but at some low speed acceleration and then braking , or when i release the throttle at low speeds , i can hear a metallic rattling sound coming from the transmission , It sounds like some keys are dangling in your pocket over some coins , something like that , for a short period of time , maybe 1 second . Have you experienced this sound after changing things at transmission ? Many thanks
Perfect 👍!
You are fantastic
I don't recommend using 2 bolts to lock the clutch bell to remove the cover. I cracked a cover that way. You can get a very inexpensive tool for doing that, or if you have a picture of it, you can make one.
I cracked it too
best part of the video is he didnt even use any special vespa tools to remove the cvt
❤️🙏🏼
Bravo....
Would it be a good idea to grease the spacer and rollers? Or would that make the belt slip?
No! No! No! (No grease on sintered bushes.)
No grease to the front?
how much nm force we need for cvt cover 10 bolts?!
Hope that's not one of the wife's good towels... 🤣 Yes, I know I've seen that towel before, or maybe a similar one. Great job as always better than those who always jabbering about what goes on or off next and the reasons why... The beauty of silence.
Haha! That’s work towel 😆👍🏼
Loistava video 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks
Thank you for being a big support! 🙏🏼❤️
lavoro ben fatto!
Thank you 🙏🏼
Do you k ow the cvt tightening torque spec for vespa GTS150??
Oh no :( maybe same like lx 150, I have lx 150 video with torque setting on my channel
¡Gracias!
You're welcome!! Thank you for the support!
@@MitchsScooterStuff my pleasure, thanks YOU!!
Shouldn't you clean the CVT air intake filter when you do this?
Yes can do that, easy to service that part alone too
how many grams (dr.pulley) you recommend for gts300? thanks
11.5-12.5
thank you . . I'm a fan of yours and a subscriber. keep it up. still waiting for a great result from your VW.
@@MitchsScooterStuff how about gts250? How many gram u recommend brother?
10/10
🙌🏼❤️
What is the outside casing called ? I wanna spray it black
I called it "CVT cover"
You can damage fan propellers
Hello 👋 . How many miles run? to make a service
It tells you in your manual book what you should of got with the scooter.
9,000 miles if you drive a lot of freeway, 12,000 miles if mostly city.
@@abnerbjorn1106 thank you very much 👍
Good vid but airline and 6 tins of brake cleaner would have been nice!

Awesome, good to know, thanks! I want a runner so bad! 😄
