In the early parts of the video, I was wondering if this chest of drawers might be more trouble than they were worth, but your finished product is absolutely stunning. Lovely work.
It was worth the time & energy you spent. I wonder how many pieces you & the other furniture folks have saved from the landfill? Collectively, probably several tons! Thank you, Katie.
You've been missed! It's so wonderful to watch your new project. I hope you were able to relax and rejuvenate during your break from content making. Welcome back!
Loved the care and effort you put into restoring this for a neighbors teen. Astonishing how beautiful it turned out from the mess that you started with.
This was such a great video! As usual, the chest turned out beautifully! I really appreciated that you explained what needed repair and why, and then demonstated how you made the repair. Bonus was letting us in on the frustrations that are bound to happen! Keep the videos coming!!
Welcome back Katie. Youve been missed but hope you are rejuvenated. This turned out great. Not sure a 14 yr old boy can truly appreciate your efforts here but it looks great.
Another great job, Katie. You and I have something in common. I find I can do some good work in the middle of the night. I'm a second-generation insomniac, and the first thing mom told me when we figured out I had it was to never stay in bed and toss and turn. Get up and do something constructive. It's worked for years. But - back to your project. I think it turned out very nicely. I noticed that you moved the top drawer back to its proper position in the rank. This is a perfect dresser for a pre-teener. A very nice save.
I love seeing the inexpensive furniture flips because after all didn’t furniture flipping get started to prevent stuff from going to the landfill. Great job as usual😍
Thanks for the tutorial on everything needed for an extremely damaged piece. Lots of information. It also lets us know not to do this if flipping . It looks wonderful and I’m sure your friend will be happy.
I am so jealous of you. I wish I knew how to use and properly handle power tools like you. You worked that dresser like a champ and showed it who’s the boss. Excellent work and it turned out so nice. Great job!
Oh Katie! I was skeptical!! The way that piece was shaking all about when you were taking it apart made me wonder if indeed is was beyond saving! But you did it and made it so NICE!! I truly love how you clean up the INSIDE of the drawers to make them clean and pretty again! To me, that shows true craftsmanship! I was hoping you would put cute little legs on it! Did that ever cross your mind? I must say I am so in love with the beautiful paint finish you can achieve!! So sleek and soft!! You are gifted!! 🥰
I currently live in a bus. No furniture makeovers in my near future, yet I can't stop watching your videos AND taking notes!!! I'm addicted! Thank u for all ur tips, advice, and especially for not editing out any mistakes. ❤
Well that was an adventure!! What a lot of work - but a great result!!! So satisfying to watch! I hope you had a great summer and are feeling rested and recovered. I'm happy to see you back and am looking forward to what Katie does next. Kindest regards, k
“There’s always gotta be some crazy plot twist.” The subtle emotion in your voice when you said this-felt so validating to my own furniture follies for some reason 🤷♀️😆❤
I just have to tell you thank you. I’ve been watching your videos for a while and I’ve revitalized my entire dining set, nursery furniture, and now my bedroom furniture. I just snagged a phenomenal vintage baker furniture walnut dresser for $100 and I am so excited to make it match my bedroom pieces. Thank you for sharing your work and giving all these project tips. I have been able to create some really beautiful pieces for my home without breaking the bank, and I’m so grateful!
Wow! You worked quite a miracle on that little dresser! Great job! And thank you so much for all of the really helpful tips. I have a nice old dresser that is in need of a repaint and several drawer repairs. I’ve been putting it off for a really long time because I was unsure of how to go about it. This video is exactly what I needed! Yayyy!! 😊
Great job repairing and restoring this piece and you are absolutely right: the many layers of paint suggest that, cheaply made though it might be, it's served a number of people for a number of years, and will continue to do so. I think it'll stand up nicely to a teenager's use as well!
Katie! So excited you are back! Hope you had an awesome summer! Caught your interview with Christina and Meggie--you were awesome! You really took on a doozie on this one! Kudos to you for turning it around!
I've missed your videos over the summer, great that you are back! What a huge mess this was! Love that you saved it anyways, it looks perfect for a 14-year old!
You having a lucky neighbor with this nice piece off furniture !! Looking nice again but a little bit smaller after stripping all off the old paint.....😉😉!!
My dresser was damaged when my house was flooded. I was going to throw it away but not sure why it is still in my house. Now you have given me the idea to refurbish it. Thanks Katie. I wish you were my neighbour ❤
Love the finish of that paint! Do you think the alkyd satin enamel would work on metal furniture? I have a large flat file (like architectures use, or for map storage) and I've been looking for a good paint to use to change the color on it.
Hi K…I think latex paint was what someone used….latex paint just sets on the wood, that’s why I love Annie Sloan chalk paint…it really adheres….it’s made for furniture…your hard work paid off…you r the best kind of neighbor to have…love your kindness.
That looks terrific. Love the way you reuse the old hardware; it came out well. I hope the new owner watches this - but probably not. 😍 We enjoyed it though!
So glad to see you back! Hope you enjoyed some down time. This was an amazing ‘re do’. I always enjoy the black frames with stained wood drawers but understand this one was probably not an option. Looks great!
Great job saving a very functional piece of furniture! The drawers looked to be a generous size; I can't size a wimpy sized drawer. Truly a trash to treasure.
11pm?!? So many comments!! First, you’re a great neighbor to help out on this one! Second, thanks for showing the transformation - it looks wonderful 😊 - T
Missed watching your videos while you were on hiatus. My goal is to eventually get a place with a garage to allow me to finally partake in this hobby that I have been wanting to take part in. Let’s see what this year gives us.
Oh my goodness Katie, the transformation of this piece is incredible. The yellow paint was by far the worst I've seen. You are a, " Warrior " my friend. Thank you for keeping furniture out of the land fill. Love &Blessings from Nova Scotia. xo
Hellllllo Katie, I hope your summer has been wonderful, sure missed you. Awww yeah this piece definitely turned out awesome, but I NEVER doubt you on anything you do. Lol cause you’re awesome! Your little neighbor friend is gonna love it. God Bless sweet girl ❤
It’s like watching a crime show…and that dresser was definitely a crime scene to start. Every show needs a crazy plot twist! 😂
A very accurate analogy 😂😂😂
This was a furniture miracle. That thing was U-G-L-Y! It looks great now and I loved watching the transformation. Perfect piece for a teenage boy!🌸
I agree that this was a furniture miracle. Great work. I’m sure your friend’s son will appreciate it.
I think so too!
I wished newer furniture was made with the care you give each piece. As always great job!😊
Thank you! 😊
In the early parts of the video, I was wondering if this chest of drawers might be more trouble than they were worth, but your finished product is absolutely stunning. Lovely work.
Those spray can trigger handles are game changers!
What a great teacher you are! And the end product turned out perfect as usual! Thanks for the lesson!
I can appreciate a crazy plot twist!
It was worth the time & energy you spent. I wonder how many pieces you & the other furniture folks have saved from the landfill? Collectively, probably several tons! Thank you, Katie.
A lot

Ugh what a mess! Welcome back from summer! Hope this didn't erase all the relaxation you created in August. So fun to watch the process again. 💕
That was soo much work! Wonderful result Katie!! ❤
Katie, you have a very big heart. Thanks for not giving up on such a time consuming project. It now has a WOW factor beyond imagination. Thank you.
I really like watching how you tackle different problems. And the result is amazing.
Another wonderful resurrection of a piece that anyone else would have cast off. Nicely done.
Loved the care and effort you put into restoring this for a neighbors teen. Astonishing how beautiful it turned out from the mess that you started with.
Glad you are back KS! Excellent work and explanation as always.
Yeah……she’s back. Thank goodness. This project certainly satisfied my furniture flipping obsession. From total trash to beautiful. 😊
The hardware turned out great.

Love the transformation. Glad that you gave this dresser a new life and that it didn’t end up in the landfill.
This dresser looks fantastic!! I’m sure your neighbor loved it!! I know I do!!!

Welcome back. Quite the mess. Your sander earned it's keep on this one. Loving the end result and I'll have to keep my eyes open for that paint.

Brilliant paint combo on the hardware!
I think the time and cost of products was very worth it because you nicely gave your neighbor's son a cool looking piece!
