Can I just say how much I admire you for donating so many pieces of furniture to your community. You didn't have to tell us you were going back to selling for awhile but you did and I love that transparency. You do what is best for your family!
Extra great video Katie! I like the sand dollar pair better and that happens to be the neutral color I have used throughout my house in the staircase, bonus room, and to highlight accent wall colors 😊
I really appreciate when influencers share mistakes - it’s easy to show all the amazing work, but it takes courage and care to explain things you would have done differently. And then you fixed the issues! And thank you for that helpful bit at the end; I won’t operate as business on Facebook Marketplace but I do buy and sell regularly so this was really useful. Missed you!
Your still my favourite Katie, even if you don’t post for a few weeks. I like both sets. I’m really glad you changed the handles. They just instantly dated the side tables. The sales tips are spot on. Braces and orthodontists are a killer! I live in the most expensive city in the world (recently announced), Sydney Australia. So I hear you about the cost of living, and teenagers aren’t cheap!!
I haven't been able to work on my own furniture flips for almost 2 years now because of chronic pain, but you and all my favorite flippers have kept me sane. Today, I worked on my first piece in 2 years, and it hurt like hell, but it felt so good to be back to flipping!
From a fellow Canadian (about an hour away from Toronto), I just want to say, Katie, I so appreciate you and all you do! Thank you so much! I always look forward to your videos and have learned so much from you. You are beautiful inside and out and it's long overdue that I wrote an encouraging comment. I think both sets are gorgeous, but I do favour the cream. Well done! I also think it is amazing how you encourage other youtubers and take the time to comment on those with far fewer subscribers. I've noticed it a few times with some of the other youtube refinishers I watch. You surely have a big heart and it comes through in all your videos. God bless you and your family!
Don't feel rushed to get a video out...do a part 1 and part 2 the next week. You have so much information in your videos that occasionally splitting them into two would make us happy. Honestly not sure which of the two I like better. Great job.
Take care of yourself. We will wait for you. We are all so very appreciative of the many things you have shared over these years. I don’t even refinish furniture …. Well, a couple of pieces for myself over time, and I am a faithful Katie fan.
Katie- I totally get the burnout syndrome - and when it happens, it’s so hard to get back to the job. Good on you for getting back in the garage and putting out this wonderful video. Know that we viewers admire you and your work so much and we understand when a break is needed. Team cream!
I have no idea why I’m watching this but I find it so fascinating. I’m really into quilting so I think I’m enjoying watching you because it is process driven. Just like quilting, restoring furniture requires multiple second passes, and without these processes the finished product would not meet your personal standards.
My brain says Team White because they're just right for a small space and they can brighten up a room, but my heart says Team Black because they look so classy.
Never thought I'd be "team light" but they're beautiful. The dark stands have more of a bachelor pad look than I would want. But your work is GORGEOUS!
Fellow Canadian here! I just found your channel very recently and want you to know, YOU ARE AMAZING Katie! You are so entertaining, encouraging for us newbies at refinishing, and enlightening. Keep up the great work and I'll be watching and learning! Cheers from Ontario.
Team cream, definitely; but personally I'd prefer the burl drawer fronts to be even lighter. I think they both will sell very quickly, though - you did a great job! The tips you've shared with us on selling are great for all items, especially the self-promotion, which is so hard for many of us. Thanks, Katie!
Your honesty is something truly admirable! And the fact that you donated for so long??? So selfless even though you deserve it every penny you’d earn. Not only that but your work is some of my favorites because you are so thorough, informative and simple to understand. Some of these products can be very tricky to work with and you are so detailed with tips/tricks- dos/donts. It’s nice to show mess ups every now and then because I don’t find most do and EVERYONE messes up so it’s nice to know how to fix it. The fact that you disclosed that you are going back to selling is truly amazing. Although you don’t owe anyone anything, especially explanations… it’s better that you did because you’ll have VERY sad and pathetic people WAITING for you to mess up. Thank you for all that you do. ❤
Love both pair restored night stands. I’m so glad you re-booted the dark pair, because after I watched you re the first go round, I was thinking something was not quite up to your known standard finish around that burle(so?) wood insert! So happy you redeemed yourself to your original quality, because your work always has inspired me! So many tips! Such great high quality work. You are so worth watching each time. I love your work and your willingness to share valuable info ~ thank you so much! You are an amazing mentor and good Mom!
Great to see a new video, Katie--we all missed you! I love the redo on the black one. There's never time to do it right, but there's always time to do it over (just kidding). I love that you never treat a project as "good enough" like some RUclipsrs do. Your work is always A1 quality. Be well!
I'm usually a black/dark furniture kinda gal but the cream set was marvelous! I love your choice of handles and the burlwood looks great on both. Thank you for the ideas for selling. I really appreciate the work you put into your channel!
Both sets are beautiful. You did such an amazing job and yes, it stinks when things don't turn out as nice as we planned but thank you for taking us along the journey.
Thank you!! Marketplace sales are definitely tough in my town. My prayer is to get where you are someday (or even kind of close) by supporting yourself and your kids thru RUclips, and be able to have this be my main job instead of just a side job. It wears me down doing two jobs but I don't want to give up on YT yet. If you ever have the time to make a teaching YT influencers type video that would be so wonderful!!
Girl!!! You’ve already built an incredible channel. You know what you’re doing ❤️ but message me on IG whenever you want to chat. I’m always up to “talk shop” on the business of content creation.
I love how both sets turned out but I'd have to say my personal favorite is the dark stain. I just love listening to you describing what you're doing and teaching basically. You have a rare calmness about you when doing your video monologues. I see fantastic things for you and your business!
I like both sets, but leaning toward the cream pair. Katie, you are so amazing at your job. I love your presentation style. You have a good eye too, for the possibilities of a piece that is being worked. Well done!
I loved everything about this video! I feel like when influencers share these types of mistakes it trickles down to a whole lot of flippers being a lot nicer to themselves when things go sideways. Thanks for keeping it real Katie 😊 Team-Cream for me!
I Love watching your Real Life Channel! We all have hiccups in our furniture business and you make it easier for me to admit I goofed a piece up! 😊 I think the nightstands turned out great, but partial to the Cream set! Thanks❣️
Team black! I love how much you explain your process and show us that you also make mistakes! I also really love that you don't just rep a single brand because I can't imagine any flipping for profit can only use a single brand, but videos doing that make the options seem to limited and make it hard for the rest of us to find what out what are really the best things to use for each step of the process.
Love how you’ve taken time to talk through the process of photographing, selling etc, great information. I love both sets, sorry I can’t choose which set is the best ❤
I love the lighter set, it has warmer undertones that go with a lot. I also love that you donate so much of your inventory. Thanks for the transparency, wasn't truly needed. We're all feeling the pinch right now. Hope you and your family had a wonderful, fun summer. Thanks for all the great info in this video and sharing with us❤😊😊
Both sets are really nice but I think I prefer the contrast of the wood in the lighter set. I’m glad to see you’re back! I have an old dresser I might be able to tackle a refinishing transformation on now that I’ve seen so many helpful tips on your channel.
Both look stunning! I love the lighter color. I enjoyed this video with all of the selling tips that are most helpful. No doubt as you go into this season of selling again you’ll have success. I think your refurbished content is impeccable. The pieces are durable and easily incorporate into a wide range of esthetics. Many blessings!
So glad you used the light black stain on the burl wood - it looks great. The new handles are perfect. Thought I'd somehow missed your posts - glad I didn't but sorry you've had a rough summer. Hopefully that's past and the rest of the year runs smoothly.
Thanks for those great tips! Love how professional you are - spending more time, energy and materials to redo areas of the first set just because there was a shadow and you didn't want to compromise quality. It's a very close call but I think I prefer the dark set. Both look great!
I’m so glad you chose to keep the BURL? BERYL? Wood Veneer! So gorgeous! Thank you for all your tips. I know that like/subscribe/share are helpful to your channel but I noticed that some RUclips Channels allow their subs to ‘join’ their channel… If you decide to do that, I can afford $2 monthly. With all your subs that would really help out, just a thought. One of the things I found so cool about you was your generosity, BUT I am so glad that you are teaching by example that having the flexibility to sell or donate as an entrepreneur… is like the top step of Self-Actualization i.e. Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Thank you for your full on generosity that only TEACHERS can do. You are an epic teacher! Prayers that the braces and other necessities work in you and your family’s favor. Can’t wait for the next video! I like both sets of nightstands! B~}
Katie, I love your honesty. It's great to admit we make mistakes and these can then be fixed. Personally, I'm Team Cream, but I'm sure either set would look great in the right setting.
The cream set is the prettiest in my opinion! I do hope your kid enjoys, for lack of better word, the dental work. I wish my parents had insisted when I was a child. As for your future videos I look forward to you giving that cabinet with the white knobs which we can see in the background a glow up.
No wonder we haven't seen a post in a while. You've been busy! The re-do was insightful. And the second pair are very striking. Although I love them both, I like the moodier, darker pair. You are the best, Katie Scott, thanks for sharing.
First of all, great job with both versions of the night stand. I'm leaning more towards the darker version, but both of them are beautiful. Next, you gave the best advice and ideas when trying to sell your products. I mean I really learned more from you than any other furniture flipper I've come across. Two Thumbs Up! Great Tutorial!
I really like both sets. What a wimp-out answer!😂 But I think they’re both beautiful. I like the change in hardware. The info on selling on Marketplace was really helpful. Thank you, Katie.🌸
You make it so hard to choose I like both of the black with the new hardware on it. I love the Burl wood and I also like the light I think I’m gonna have to go team black just because I usually have a piece of black furniture or a black accent, and every room of my house I think it grounds it, both of them are beautiful as usual and so informative. Thank you love watching your channel.
I love them both, and I appreciate you sharing your mistakes. I loved the Facebook marketplace suggestions. You are so creative and down to earth. I truly enjoy watching your content and learning from you every time you post a new video.
Team cream! Oh my gosh- ❤❤❤love them redone. The black was ok but the new cream color is stunning. Katie thanks for sharing so much with us. You do incredible work.
excellent edition!! great information for those delving into online selling of their products. hard to say. . . I love both of them. your clients will be grateful to have an option. so glad you tweaked. they look fantastic.
Thank you so much for this video! The nightstands turned out beautifully. I can’t decide which set I like more, but I think I lean toward the lighter side as well. I appreciate late the helpful fb tips too!
Both pairs are beautiful. I would put the lighter pair in MY house, but many folks like the darker furniture. Thank you for all those great tips for selling. I know about the cost of living. It's a bummer and most of us are feeling the pinch. Good luck and thanks again!
I love that little cupboard you use as a workbench. I hope someday it will get a little refinish and reuse :) My kitchen is is in the "unfitted" style (1850 house) so my eye is always drawn to these quirky old cabinets. I'm so glad you were able to make the burl beautiful on the nightstands.
Great job Katie and I loved all your tips about selling. I think both sets appeal to a wide spectrum of people. Just depends on preference for light or dark. Good luck with selling again.
Yoooooo Katie!!! Realizing how many videos I have to catch up on. I'm at work for another 6 hrs. soooo let's go!!! BOTH sets are fantastically done but, leaning towards the darker ones. Blessings, Dirty Jersey out!!!
Nice to see you back. I hope you had a nice summer! I think you made the right decision to change the colour of the veneer inset. It's much more cohesive now - for both pairs. The less "frilly" handles are also a great fit! I think if I were buying, I'd probably buy the lighter colour ones, as they make the construction seem less heavy (it's not my favourite style of furniture, maybe a bit too chunky for me), but I prefer the colouring of the black one, with the lower contrast between the veneer and the colour. Great work all round! kindest regards, k
I love both sets, but the light set is my favorite. I love what you did with these the second time around - changing the hardware had the biggest impact!
I love the cream but I can honestly say both would fit happily in to my home. I always follow you on you tube and love your Vlogs, thanks for all the help and advice.
I also paint furniture in the UK, watching your video was just the boost I needed to get me back into my garage and paint. It was so helpful with great advice re Marketplace. I think I like the black night stands as they are so on trend at present. Many thanks
Really enjoyed your presentation and guidance. I always learn so much. The cream color night stands are my favorites. Looking forward to your next project 😊
Love them both. I would tend to reach for the lighter one now a days, but I used to always want the classic black. You’re inspirational beyond words. Been subscribed since the beginning of your journey and you’re like a sis to me & my mentor. Thanks for always taking the time to explain your process and why. God bless and way to help the landfill and your community! ❤ You are our kind! Must be a Scott thing! 😉 🌺
Hi Katie! At first, i hated the black pair. After the redo, i love the black pair. They are now sleek and elegant. I also love the cream but not as much. I’m team black!!
This is the first time I’ve watched your channel. I am so impressed with someone who admits a mistake. I’m going with Team Cream. I have black furniture now and I think I’m over it. 😂 I think the black nightstands would be more striking with another gold accent, possibly like a thin border around the burled wood. All in all, both sets are stunning. And I am going to subscribe. 😉
Well I’m on team black and team cream! Love the different treatment of the burled wood. Thank you for the very generous and helpful tips. Love your work!
I actually like both. Good luck selling them quickly and at a nice profit. It certainly does cost a lot of money to live this life. Looking forward to more.
These night stands are lovely. The soft cream color are my favorite. I know a more streamlined look is popular right now but I really liked the rope moldings and the bell pulls, personal opinion and all that. They look really nice and you did a fabulous job.
Can I just say how much I admire you for donating so many pieces of furniture to your community. You didn't have to tell us you were going back to selling for awhile but you did and I love that transparency. You do what is best for your family!
Team Cream! I’m sorry about your van and the other challenges. Thanks for being human and showing your mistakes.
Extra great video Katie! I like the sand dollar pair better and that happens to be the neutral color I have used throughout my house in the staircase, bonus room, and to highlight accent wall colors 😊
What fantastic information - you're a true mentor, Katie. An educational institution would be lucky to have you as an instructor.
I know what you're going through. Congratulations on getting back in the game.
I've been where you are. Congratulations on being able to get back to it!
From a fellow Canadian (about an hour away from Toronto), I just want to say, Katie, I so appreciate you and all you do! Thank you so much! Thrilled to see the master is back. Love both sets. You are truly gifted.
I'm normally a dark person but I'm digging the cream on these.
Take care of yourself. We will wait for you. We are all so very appreciative of the many things you have shared over these years. I don’t even refinish furniture …. Well, a couple of pieces for myself over time, and I am a faithful Katie fan.
The black one looks so much better now! I think I prefer the black one. They both look great
Team cream! They're so pretty! And the black ones look great now, too.
Team cream….because I am a fussy old lady and find that dust shows up to fast on black. Both look awesome!
Good point!
Good point 😂😂😂
Katie- I totally get the burnout syndrome - and when it happens, it’s so hard to get back to the job. Good on you for getting back in the garage and putting out this wonderful video. Know that we viewers admire you and your work so much and we understand when a break is needed.

I’m Team K. Scott! It’s too hard to choose between the 2 sets. They’re both lovely and have their places in different decor.
So glad you’re back!
Hi. Both pairs are looking amazing. Good to have you back.

Thank you for all that you do. ❤
I sure admire your patience and attention to detail. It certainly shows in the end product.
I am never going to refinish any furniture, but still enjoy your videos so much. You are both informative and engaging, I'm team black.
The way you systematically explain everything step by step is soooooooo helpful, and the quality of your videos is excellent. Great narration too!
Love both pair restored night stands. I honestly love them both, I like that you did the wood on the drawer over it turned out so nice.

Well done!

I think the nightstands turned out great, but partial to the Cream set!
Thanks❣️
Saludos desde PUERTO RICO!!!!
Ambas quedaron espectaculares.
Love both sets! Thank you so so much for the great tips on selling.
Team cream! What awesome content you have created here Katie. You're the best and so true to what you do and who you are. You're a gem for sure!
I love these! I can’t pick a favorite. They are both so great!
I love how the stain on the draw fronts turned out. They are both very nice but I would buy the light ones. ❤
Love how you’ve taken time to talk through the process of photographing, selling etc, great information. I love both sets, sorry I can’t choose which set is the best ❤
and Mrs T it was so worth you changing the finished result both sets now look amazing well done

I love the redo on the black set! Much better! I do love the cream set the best though. Excellent job!🦋
I really like both pieces....both beautiful...no favorite here. I just enjoy your videos and learn something new each time. Keep up the amazing work.
I love both sets. Beautiful job. Such talent you never cease to amaze me with the work you do.
Katie! Both sets are stunning! But my heart goes to the cream set!
I love the lighter set. Great job on both, Katie!

I really like both sets. What a wimp-out answer!😂 But I think they’re both beautiful. I like the change in hardware. The info on selling on Marketplace was really helpful. Thank you, Katie.🌸
Love the “Caviar” for my home but the “Sand Dollar” is gorgeous too! Great videos! Love all the info you give! Happy selling! 😊

Honestly I couldn’t decide between the two, I could use both in my home in different bedrooms, they are both stunning as usual!!
Hi Katie. My favourite is the black set. It looks modern & sofisticated.
Very good video, and both sets turned out well! Thanks for taking us along your journey of re-doing the first set….that is encouraging/helpful too!
I like both….they have a lot of potencial. And i am glad you changed the knobs.
I love both sets, but the light set is my favorite. I love what you did with these the second time around - changing the hardware had the biggest impact!
Love the video KS! Glad to see you put one out today. Hope you are well!
They both were beautiful but the lighter set was just so soft and inviting so that is my pick ❤
I love the cream but I can honestly say both would fit happily in to my home. I always follow you on you tube and love your Vlogs, thanks for all the help and advice.
I love the black, and I think the redo made a world of difference! Beautiful!
I also like the cream. Beautiful work on all the pieces.
I think both colorways are gorgeous! I normally gravitate towards darker colors, but, I love the lighter set.
I am Team Cream.
Katie, you are so articulate. Your information is so valuable for potential furniture flippers.
The light. Both beautiful and professional. Good advise you have. Thank you .
I'm team black. I'm just getting started selling, so far so good. I have refinished furniture for years your information has been very helpful.
i just love all the work you do please keep up all that great work you do !
Well I’m on team black and team cream! Love the different treatment of the burled wood. Thank you for the very generous and helpful tips. Love your work!
I actually like both. Good luck selling them quickly and at a nice profit. It certainly does cost a lot of money to live this life. Looking forward to more.
Thank you for the information about listing. Great info. The nightstands turned out beautiful nice job
I like both sets but the black does it for me. Great work, as always.
These night stands are lovely. The soft cream color are my favorite. I know a more streamlined look is popular right now but I really liked the rope moldings and the bell pulls, personal opinion and all that. They look really nice and you did a fabulous job.
