Talented, resourceful, hard-working, honest as the day is long... you are a breath of fresh air in a world of coughing post-covid-idity. (a good thing in case you're wondering😜) I hope you never EVER change. Love the process/ end result. Cheers Ang ☕ Pat x
Oh,Angie. I am near tears when i saw how it finished. The mismatched woods just look unique and quite beautiful in their own way.the paint being a quiet force that pulls the piece together. Hoping the hopping critters are all fine. Your mouser checked out and found no mousies!!! Thank you.
I discovered your channel and have watched every single video. I’m in Australia and love the snow scenes too. 😊You are so creative and artistic and I love watching you work. Love the bunnies too, as we’re not permitted to have them as pets where I live. You are an inspiration to those of us beginning to refresh and refinish lonely furniture pieces. Thank you.
It’s not biased if it’s true! I have to agree with her! And I’m so grateful for everything that you do- you have no idea! 👍🌟🤘 (Loved that Willow didn’t find anything wrong- kitty approved!)
I love Angie because she teaches and has amazing taste in music. If y'all want some fun, check out Modern Makeovers. Talented, hilarious Asian kid. No speaking, no music, the occasional caption to give you his thoughts, but what really sets him apart is his video production. It's absolutely top flight. Time well spent.
I personally love those warm neutral tones-very soothing. The drawers remind me of reclaimed barn wood. Great call keeping the original hardware. Beautiful!!! Angie, you've done it again! ❤
You turned this humble little dresser into a quiet beauty. I really, really like it and anyone would be proud to have it in their home. Love the natural wood and I'm glad you stuck with the original hardware as it's really pretty.
You knocked that one out of the ball park! The drawers’ grain actually look to be a work of art in themselves : the heavy grain, variation of type, size, color of that wood grain in total combines into the look of an abstract painting. Brilliant, stunning, perfecto!
"There is sometimes beauty in imperfections." Yes! The mismatched color and grains of the drawer fronts are what give this piece it's interest. I love your attitude and your work.
WOW. What a lovely transformation! The end result is amazing. Thank you for not only saving a neglected but decent piece of furniture from the landfill, but also giving it a gorgeous glow of beauty. Those tawny shades are so rich! And the brass accessories are perfect. Great job as always :)
Sometimes its enough to just do your job - be a sturdy piece of serviceable furniture. Its a bonus if Angie makes you beautiful. The hardware was perfect and those casters are adorable. 👍👍
You are such a master rehab-er, Angie. I personally like asymmetric wood grain, so those drawers are attractive to me, "interesting patterns" is another way to look at them.
I love it! It's GORGEOUS! The variations on the color of drawers are AWESOME! Yes, it's better than the other, older set you transformed... it's WARM and CONTEMPORARY! Thanks so much for sharing
Those new, shiny rollers on underneath the dresser make me smile. I love that little bit of bling even though many people wouldn't care. I'm glad you did.
Angie, you are nothing short if a magician. From the mousy dumpster worthy piece to this piece that is interesting, eclectic, and yet has a classy flair. I'd love to have a piece like this in my guest room!
My initial reaction was, “Girl, you’ve got your work cut out for you”! I never could have imagined what you did and how beautiful it turned out. You truly are an artist, Angie ❣️ Once AGAIN Fabulous!!
🤣🤣🤣 That was my grandmother’s bedroom suite except it was all blond finished and two nightstands. I recognized the handles. 🤣🤣🤣 The last time I saw it was 1987 on a visit to Rochester NY. Great job rehabbing it.
Your choice of paint color was spot-on!! The finish on the drawer fronts coupled with the painted body of this dresser is harmony….perfection. Great work!
At first glance I thought the drawer fronts might be plywood - that’s what you had to start with and wow! What a stunner - you’ve a keen eye for the endgame!
Angie I think you don’t give yourself enough credit for the amazing transformations you do as well as the education along the way! And while MCM isn’t my aesthetic, I simply love this! Great job!
This looks so good now! The paint and washed drawers go so well together and because each drawer has different grain with variations of color, it looks deliberate. The more I look at it, the better I like it! 👌👌👍👍💕💕
I feel this is how you get the natural, imperfect look that farmhouse style seems to strive for - without the shabby parts. You made this into such a classy, surprising piece, with that bit of muted drama brought on by the mismatched wood. Loving it!
I love the wood grain variety on the drawers. I love the paint color. As I look up from typing this comment I see the color of the steel siding on our house. It is the same! Great job as always!
One of my favorite transformations you’ve ever done. In my culture when someone makes an amazing dish that warms people inside out, we say, “You put your foot in that!” Certain family members’ recipes can be copied to a T but will never come out the same. This is what makes you such an incredible artist: no one can do what you do. They can use all the same products, tools, and techniques, but it just wouldn’t come out the same. You have a gift. 💜
I love how you preserve and elevate these “lesser” pieces, exposing the natural beauty that people once thought should be hidden. Those drawer fronts are stunning! And thanks for letting us into your thought process, including “I’m trying this technique again, because I think it can be better.”
I think this is one of your best transformations. So many of these items go into landfill everyday and you’ve made something desirable out of what many would consider a lost cause. That’s really inspiring. Great work!
Genius! You know, a beautiful walnut antique piece is one thing to restore, but to take a laminate piece mixed with frankly unattractive solid wood and make it beautiful is where the real vision and artistry comes in. You have an eye and a talent for taking the most unappealing, throwaway furniture and seeing the possibilities it still holds. Beautiful job--these ugly ducklings that you turn into swans are always my favorites!
I'm lovin it! So glad it found its way to you. To me it looks contemporary and clean. I can see it in a masculine room or in a hallway with linen napkins, place mats and your fancy silverware. Your finale reveal display was icing on the cake. You might have a second calling as a home decorator.
Love that you gave her those little jewelry casters. 😻 The taupe washing with sanding worked great! You can still tell that the drawer front wood is a hodgepodge, but it's a uniform hodgepodge because of the taupe tone.
It doesn’t even look like the same piece. Wow! I think the colour choice is great and the difference in the finished drawers is actually flattering to the final piece
I watch a lot of these types of channels and yours I prefer over all the others. You are thorough and precise and you look for that next issue to tackle instead of ignoring it. The other reason I watch is your calm peaceful demeanor. It transfers to the incredibly hard work you do. I’m hoping, in reality, you’ve got the music cranked to 10 and just enjoying yourself. Cats are a major bonus! Beautiful work you do. Thank you.
1- These are some of my favorite pieces. 2- Sanding the paint wash... 100% perfect effect. 3- The pulls were amazing, so glad you kept them. 4- The casters- honestly probably my favorite thing about it. You truly elevated the piece. It's so modern, clean, warm, but with a nod to the past.
Doing a paint wash then sanding part of it off is something I’ve never seen anyone else to do. I wonder if you’re the only one? I love the result. The extreme detail of your work combined with your innovation and imagination show your true genius. I’m always absolutely amazed. Thanks for another gorgeous makeover.
Having ( binged 😊 ) watched quite a few of your videos now, I am learning to really appreciate just how skilled you are. You have this incredible way of “restoring” a piece while at the same time making it relevant. A hint of modern while still keeping the integrity of the piece’s original age. Giving your pieces a much better chance of being loved by new owners for many years to come.
Hey, Angie- I really appreciate that you have a lot of what I call “show and tell” that teaches viewers how to recognize different types of furniture construction. Example: knocking on the edge of the frame vs away from the frame showing hardwood frame with laminate topper.
I really liked how the drawers came out mismatched. It's like each one is its own character. It also reminds me of those wood tables where they put in patches of wood that have the grain going in different direction. Kudos.
Hello and Happy Monday! Wow that dresser turned out stunning! I like the color scheme on this one, Angie! Good call on the "dark taupe" Fusion paint. The dresser gives me Beach House vibes with the whitewash effect on the drawer faces. That's what it reminds me of. I normally would'nt go for this color scheme but the gold hardware ties it all together. I'd buy it in a heartbeat! Ah yes, the Hantavirus. Mice are cute little critters but yeah they are carriers of all sorts of nasty bugs and things. I'm glad you brought in the mouse expert, Willow. She gave the paws up in approval when she nonchalantly walked right by the piece. Too cute! Another outstanding furniture save! Cheers! I'm off to watch the eclipse!
@@TranscendFurnitureGallery it was! We had 98% visibility here in my area and it was great to see! Our cloud cover was touch and go but luckily held for the big show. Very cool to see and witness, indeed. Hope you and Andrea have a great day!
Oh WOW! This is a total transformation; great result. I LOVE the casters. Thank you for showing what can be done with a piece that is not stellar quality and for saving the landfills of a major addition. Someone will get a lot of use out of this piece and enjoy its beauty. The bonus is that is passed the Willow test!
As always an amazing transformation. We have done so many blonde mahogany pieces because nobody else wants to do the work to get the blonde finish off! I just took the blonde off from the tops of a Bassett tallboy and lowboy tonight for a paint and stain combo.
It’s a charmer. I really like the personality of the different wood grains. Learn so much from your videos. Used to hate MCM but after watching you make them sparkle I’m kinda liking them. The hardware is always so unique. Thanks for making these videos. Saving one piece at a time.
I feel the colour really suits the really varied wood grain. It helps pull that together without fighting it for attention. It makes the varied wood grain look purposeful.
I love that you made this piece look sophisticated in a quirky vintage way that in its slightly bedraggled state it just couldn't. Bravo for your work on this and I bet those casters wil make it last many years longer and totally worth the cost. Those mismatched grains just look like they belong and give the piece character that celebrates that "common" wood.
Angie, Aside from being an artist & master restorer, you are the 'wood grain whisperer!" I love how you coaxed out the natural grain & color corrected it to remove the yellow tint & it matches the solid color so well! I also love your attention to detail, cleaning, repair, color matchimg, etc. Your work is the definition of quality! Glad to see you wear a respirator especially with any kind of critter droppings. I have a mouser too (different color) & my executive assistant looks like Nacho but with different color eyes. They keep me on schedule 😁
Angie you're an artist! We can see how involved you're and that's not just for flipping or making a video, and your voice is definitely a plus! Thank you.
Really nice job! I have one with the mismatched drawer front but is beautiful now. A man was moving out of the complex and my daughter asked what they were doing with it. They said, dumpster. She said stop here and give it to my mother. I thought it was the ugliest thing I’d ever seen. But one redone, it’s now one of the loviest pieces I have. Thanks! You are a great teacher , far better than most. 🎉🎉🎉❤ I hope you like your gift I sent!
Angie, you chose exactly the right color to tie in the painted to the washed surfaces and to unify the various grains on the drawer faces! I LOVE the variation in colors that the wash leaves behind. They have almost a barnwood or pallet wood look, but with more refinement.
Side note- it's been brought to my attention that the auto-generated subtitles labelled "Hantavirus" (when I was talking about the droppings) as HAUNTER VIRUS. HAHA! Which is comical, but in all seriousness... it's Hantavirus. lol
Also- I just realized that in the video I said I paid $40. I didn’t! It was initially listed at that price but it was only when the previous owner dropped it to $20 that I contacted them. Sorry about that! Totally escaped me during the voiceover.
Beautiful!!!!
Ha, Ha. It would be haunting if someone got the Hantavirus from this. Wah, Wah! No punning around though, you did a lovely job.
Automated subtitles can be hilarious. I once watched a BBC drama where the subtitle read: "The suspect was seen jogging on hamster teeth." True story!
As a resident of Hantavirus country, yes, thank you for talking about being very careful!
Talented, resourceful, hard-working, honest as the day is long... you are a breath of fresh air in a world of coughing post-covid-idity. (a good thing in case you're wondering😜) I hope you never EVER change.

She said stop here and give it to my mother. I thought it was the ugliest thing I’d ever seen. But one redone, it’s now one of the loviest pieces I have. Thanks! You are a great teacher , far better than most. 🎉🎉🎉❤ I hope you like your gift I sent!
Wow Linda, thank you so much for this comment! You sound like a kindred spirit, thank you so much for saving pieces from the trash!! ❤️
Love the mismatched wood grain. Gives it charm.
I'm so glad you like it! 😀
The colors you chose gave it a contemporary feel. This turned out well.
I'm so glad you like it! 😊
OMG! Magical, Ang.
Thank you very much Kathleen!
Absolutely stunning! I love the multi-faceted colored hues of the front drawers. Such character. You did it justice.
Thank you so much for watching! 😊
Angie’s Last Chance Saloon triumphs again! 😍🥰
Thanks so much Lois! 😊
You use wise words when describing what you are trying to accomplish. You are beyond your years. TY and great work.
Thank you so much! 😊
Angie, you chose exactly the right color to tie in the painted to the washed surfaces and to unify the various grains on the drawer faces! I LOVE the variation in colors that the wash leaves behind. They have almost a barnwood or pallet wood look, but with more refinement.
Oh thank you Gina! 😀
That dresser was so lucky to find you Angie. Beautiful job! I love to see the revised pieces that look better than the original design.
Thank you so much! 😊
Very nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
