Oh, I remember vividly. I was there when it happened. Luckily I lived to share the story with you great folks. I miss my brothers though, they wouldn't get on the plane. The supervolcano on the island blew up, taking everyone with it as it sank down to Davie Jones' Locker.
Thank god the UK held the Indian Ocean Territories imbetween the mainland and madagascar. Otherwise the British Fleet and Air Force wouldn't have had the range to retake it.

The reason it looks so bad is because there was no way to professionally map something back then and make it look accurate. This changed when better technology came around in the late 1800’s.

As a fellow history nerd, I share the same pain. My WW1 history textbook shows Sweden owning Copenhagen and Bulgaria owning Istanbul.
My one showed France owning the Lowlands and Alsace-Lorraine before the war began. My great-great grandparents (fathers fathers mothers parents) were raised in Mulhazen (now Mulhouse) as Germans in the German Empire.
It was disgusting.

2:32 That map was so heavily criticizes by Turks who actually know a thing or two about geography. I guess this is just proof of how incapable Erdogan's government is. They even fail at drawing a proper map of Europe. No wonder they reform the education system each year. Sometimes even twice a year (sadly I'm not even kidding here).

2:27 another mistake is the location of frankfurt and nuremburg, the cities are about 200 km away not 500-600km
Looks like Frankfurt is in France / Alsace and Nuremburg is in Austria

4:44 ok.. so Madagascar is north of weird looking Japan, Indonesia is in the Carribean sea, South America is South of northern Africa, Australia is a lake in the middle of "Euromericafrica", and southern Africa is South of the United States. There's also weird islands South of India, southern Europe in North America, and the UK is shaped like real Japan. Please explain.
Don't forget that the Philippines is right beside Turkey (?). Two words can only explain this, tectonic plates (hah prove that Flat-Earthers).

Everything Wrong With This World Map
(I put the mistakes in separate numbers and lines to make it easier to read)
1. Philippines and the Indonesian islands were moved to the Atlantic Ocean near North America, replacing the Caribbean Islands.
2. Most of South America is replaced by the southern part of Africa with Lake Victoria somehow, while southern Africa is replaced by most of South America.
3. Madagascar is moved to Japan, while Japan and the Kuril Islands move to the British Isles.
4. Most of the Mediterranean sea is relocated to northern USA, including parts of the European and African coastline.
5. Australia is moved to north Africa and southern Europe, and is represented as a giant sea. The Caspian Sea is turned to land and is placed as an island in the so-called Australian Sea.
5. Part of the American Great Lakes is put on Anatolia with part of Michigan and Canada’s coast, and the Caribbean Islands are now replaced as water and put on where the Caspian Sea was as a series of many lakes, example “Cuban Lake” or “Hispaniola Lake”.
6. The African Great Lakes are duplicated onto China.
7. Australia is duplicated and is severely distorted near the Malay peninsula, with a bunch of islands I don’t even know, along the South China Sea and India’s western coast.
8. Hawaii is moved to the South Atlantic Ocean.
9. The British Isles and New Zealand have disappeared and have not been placed anywhere.
