Cummins Power I wasn’t comparing, at all. I went with the king ranch simply because the interior was far superior to a Longhorn and the new rams interior in general. I wanted a Cummins as I have only ever owned a Cummins. But I’m in love with my powerstroke. Not to say I’d never buy anything else, I don’t prefer any brand over another. The Ford just happened to suit my wants not to say it will the next guy.
I pull 10000 lbs everyday with my 2016 deleted 2500 68 rfe. No problems at all. I service it every year. 60000 miles so far it works everyday just saying
I’d get a new f250 over any other truck ever made. They look badass, they are big as fuck, extremely reliable, and you can clear 38’s on a leveling kit.
I just sold off my 2016 chevy hd gasser and bought a 2019 Gmc Denali and have about 1000 miles on it now and could not be more pleased!! I can't believe the power that thing has!! The infotainment system is great and all the buttons and knobs on the dash are a little bit bigger so you can do what you gotta do on the fly easier. From a new Denali owner I love it!
Just got a Denali,on 6/29/19 and hand washed it for the first time.Found some pits in the hood. And it was BIRD CRAP,YES BIRD CRAP had eaten into the hard coat & pitted two spots on the hood.7 spots all together but they probably washed off before they could eat through. I wanted the whole truck to be hard coated again but they are just going to do the hood.It ‘s not over yet!! I went out to the dealership before I talked to them and have video of the bird crap showing how it is eating through the newer trucks hard coat. So sad to get a truck like that & the hard coat can not stand up to bird crap. Love the truck!!!
Well I don't know what you decided on, as this was 2 months ago, but I got a 2018 Denali Duramax and could not be happier! I looked at them all, the choice was simple. GM forever.
I have a 2012 Cummins with the 68rfe. 135k on it. Tuned and deleted. No issues from the 68rfe. I don’t run a 200HP tune. 30-90hp max. Tuned by double R diesel.
Put some 44 on it dwag if you want one of my friends has a ford just like that but it’s white with Chrome bumper front and back chrome trim on the doors and black wheels it’s nice I’m just sayin thou
Watch Gale Banks on here, He used to engineer the Cummins, no he works on making the Duramax/Allison just as reliable. Both great engines. I know the 2020 models are are ALL awesome. Its a tough choice for sure. All the big 3 have great trucks, is all about preference. Don't listen to any of the troll fan boys on here.
Dude if you want to switch it up I would go for a ford 6.7 powerstroke they are fucking amazing trucks! The 2017 and up are super nice and specs are amazing dude please go for a powerstroke
We had a power stroke lariat like that one and had a 180 hp tune on it and it was quick but the front end started to have problems now we got a denial like that one and it’s great
At 5:01 when he says “that will have to be deleted” what does that mean. I drive a semi so I know what DEF is but I’m looking for a diesel truck for myself and want to know what he’s talking about.
I have a 08 6.7 cummins with the 68rfe and I don’t find its to bad of a trans. It gets confused sometimes which gear to be in when it’s in cruise and tow haul mode when I’m towing but other then that I have no complaints on it. Truck isn’t tuned and only deleted and piped, i tow heavy with it on a regular basis and still on original trans
I’ve owned over thirty trucks in my life two of them were dodge and never again if you need super heavy duty Ford is the way to go if you want a nice strong quiet classy truck gm either way you can’t go wrong but run from dodge and the newer Cummins is not like the older generations and have been plagued with issues
I made the switch from Cummins to duramax and haven't looked back. In my opinion the duramax is the best diesel truck on the market right now for many reasons. One being the amazing ride that ford and dodge can't compete with
You have to go by what the interior pieces are made of and how it's put together. My brother went with both, a 2500 Denali and a 2500 Chevy, and they have too much hard plastic's in their interiors, and just over a years time, he and his wife's trucks have squeaks and rattles. Where my RAM that's a year older than theirs has 0 squeaks and 0 rattles. And I have put my RAM trough heck and back running dirt and muddy roads.
I would say go with the dmax with the l5p becuse they in my opinion are the best new powerful motor out at the moment. My opinion. And u got the alison.
Congrats on selling the vehicles. I just recently bought a ram and that’s what got me interested in your videos. Thank you for your service in the military. Go with your gut on the buy.
Selfmade Productions moved into a 2020 denali dually L5P and honestly its a toss. The 2020 has pros and cons in comparison but in general the 2018 was the better truck.
Hey man I have a 17 Lariat premium package with 20” wheels, power running boards and moon roof. Had it for a year out 45,000miles on it so far and has been great. Have lots of videos up you can check out! Good luck.
I have a 2014 Ram 2500 Lonestar with the 68rfe and it does finds with the Anarchy Tunes that I got. I’ve had it deleted for about 20,000 miles and pulls great. But if I had the chance to get a new truck I would definitely go with the aisin my dad has a 2018 Laramie longhorn with aisin and a 3.73 rear end it shifts so smooth and pulls like a dream. You can put anything behind it and it will pull it comfortably.
You can only get the aisin trans in the 3500 trucks. I have a 2500 with the 68 and have trans tunes. If you ever get a 68 trans tunes r a must. It’s like a totally different truck
Talk to Skyler about the Ram transmissions and call up Suncoast and Hardaway. All are in your backyard. You will have to build a transmission if you get into big mods in a 4th Gen Ram, but like always, you gotta pay to play. Since you are looking at new, you'll be a while before big power mods start if you plan to keep your warranty anyway. Also Greg A has been building his 18 Ram Dually and can probably give some great info.
@@nathancarter3944 oh you are? If that's true then you would know only the LB7 (years 01-04)had injector issues that Chevy fixed under recall. So basically your a mechanic that doesn't know what he's talking about.
Cummins by far. I have a 17 cummins with a 68 but i had a bd protection kit for the 68 and some good trans tunes with a good defuel between shifts 520hp and 1150tq to the wheels not a single issue I trust it more than my duramax
I drove a 2019 f250 super duty that was nice and powerful but it had a vibration in the driveline, but it got worse when I pulled a hd landscape trailer. That thing vibrated almost to the point to where i couldn't pull a trailer anymore. Usability and overall look also 4x4 integration / function was good. I have had 3/4 and 1 ton cummins from the 1990's but none of those ever had vibration issues like the f250 I used especially out of the box
My friend just recently bought a 2014 Ram 3500 with the 6.7/68RFE. We drove 13 hours one way for him to get it. We both work construction and have had a lot of experiences with different trucks. Our opinion was the ram was better at towing/hauling and being a work truck. However the Ford and Chevy have a bunch of great features as well. Been here since Hawaii. Not super big on commenting but I did recommend the chassis saver on the first gen!
I would do the powerstroke . Deleting the truck will be plenty and you can fit 37s with a leveling kit using stock wheels or aftermarket wheels with the same offset and back spacing
I am a long time subscriber and also a diehard Cummins fan and I know you are too. That is all that I will ever drive. I know the 68RFE transmissions are the best, but I have a 2012 Cummins that had the same tranny and it held up for quite a while with efi live tuning, all the deletes and 100hp injectors. If you add more power to any of these new trucks, you will soon face some sort of transmission problems and/or issues. I know it is expensive but will make a great video!!! The cummins is the way to go!
I love my 5th gen 1500. I got the maroon Big Horn and couldn’t be happier, traded in my ‘12 Laramie for it and think that the 5th gen is a wonderful truck in comparison to the 4th gens.
Not sure you picked out your new truck yet but if you go with Ford, look up the Lariat Ultimate package...big bang for your buck. Bought my 2016 and 2017 with that package, good value. The 207 17 Lariat Ultimate has all the standard Lariat stuff, plus heated rear seats, sunroof, keyless proximity entry, push button start, heated steering wheel, remote tailgate release in cab (and on key fob), torsion bar release tail gate (soft open), LED inside bed lights, LED tailgate light, LED spots in door mirrors...of course the heated/cooled seats etc. If you're still looking, check out package details. Happy to share numbers if you want them, good deals to be had out there, happy hunting.
I tell you what if you don’t plan on tuning your truck get the aisin transmission it will last if you want tune ability and availability to tune your transmission get the 68rfe
I guess I have been lucky since not one of my transmissions have failed me ever. I have not had any issues with my 68rfe's and I keep my trucks until about 400,000 miles+
I bought the 2019 Denali. Same one you looked at.
I went from Ford to Ram, to Duramax wont ever go back, i loved my LBZ, LMM, and my new 2020 L5P AT4
I’m getting a 2019 Sierra Denali this week. My first diesel vehicle ever. Very excited.
L5P is a monster
Oh forgot chrome trim handles with rock lights
I had a second gen Cummins, purchased a King Ranch powerstroke. It’s super comfortable and wicked power... get a king ranch or Platinum...
Wvuboy23 you can't compare a second gen to a new truck. They all have come a long way.
Cummins Power I wasn’t comparing, at all. I went with the king ranch simply because the interior was far superior to a Longhorn and the new rams interior in general. My dad's 2018 GMC 2500 Denali Duramax is a beast of a luxury diesel truck!
Well I don't know what you decided on, as this was 2 months ago, but I got a 2018 Denali Duramax and could not be happier! I looked at them all, the choice was simple. GM forever.
I came to see opinions about the Duramax and just heard about Powerstrokes and Cummins transmissions lol
Cummins with a g56
Apparently Ram only comes in white
If you go with the Ford u should check out powerstrokehelp on RUclips
I have a 2012 Cummins with the 68rfe. 135k on it. Tuned and deleted. No issues from the 68rfe. I don’t run a 200HP tune. 30-90hp max. Tuned by double R diesel.
Have you thought about the titan xd? They are pretty nice.
Hell, you might as well look at a Honda ridgeline if you're considering a Titan! #Dirtymax
Put some 44 on it dwag if you want one of my friends has a ford just like that but it’s white with Chrome bumper front and back chrome trim on the doors and black wheels it’s nice I’m just sayin thou
Can't beat an Allison!
Also you cannot delete the new gmc or Chevrolet duramaxs with the L5P engine
Only the cat cant be deleted but they still sound sweet with the cat, and belt out coal like crazy and have insane power
get the duramax
Nothing like the 6.7 power stroke absolutely bullet proof. And the interior is the cherry on top
I was back and forth between cummins and duramax for awhile and eventually went with duramax. I dont regret it
Get the duramax for sure
Please get the Denali or the Ford
D.E.F. FLUID, KILLES THEM
The GMC is really clean

Also our company truck (Cummins 68 2013) has pulled a 15k trailer everyday and a 50’ 5th wheel and has 160 miles. Never had a issue with the trans.
Dude if you want to switch it up I would go for a ford 6.7 powerstroke they are fucking amazing trucks! The 2017 and up are super nice and specs are amazing dude please go for a powerstroke

I like the new fifth gen 1500 rams, the body styles looks good
Pretty sure Aisin trans are only on the duallys. My 68RFE gave me no problems
They all have pros and cons ! I drove gm for a long time now I drive a ford . It’s always good to try something different.
Easy choice. DURAMAX
I know on these new Cummins in order to get the turbo off you have to pull the engine up and take the engine mount off
Get Cummins or powerstorke
I like my L5P. Came over from a 2014 g56 cummins. Just sucks the cost of deleting a L5P.
I would say go with the dmax with the l5p becuse they in my opinion are the best new powerful motor out at the moment. My opinion. And u got the alison.
Duramax for the win I love my lbz

So, I would like to know what makes the 68RFE transmission so bad?

That first white f250 was a gasser.
You won’t regret the duramax
Dude I really like the duramax. Not to mention the l5p can make crazy power with just basic tuning.
Rams interior is far and away better than the other 2
LML or L5P
Dmax for sure it's soo nice
If you get a new truck I wanna see a 3rd gen build later on.
Did u at least drive one with the aisin transmission to see what it was like
Why not a manual 4th gen?
Video of missing a lot of information I’d prices and different horse power rating of the Diesel
Hell yeah all them trucks look nice hope u make the right decision

The Duramax is bad for the injectors going out and dumping fuel in the oil

GMC is sick
Never bothered to look under the Dodges rear seat, also Dodge comes with power inverter also, Dodge has more room inside
Dodge trucks have Rake style front ends , fords sit level i you have small pecker syndrome Buy a tall truck and add 40" wheels/highheels
